I so remember hating the look when it was first revealed for GameCube, but as soon as it came out and I played the game, it didn’t matter, because the game was amazing. The nostalgia goggles may be on hard, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Toon Link again. Maybe in some sort of smaller offshoot Zelda title or something.
Chained Echoes is feeling great! Old school nostalgia trip a la Chrono Trigger and FFVI. I’ve played about an hour of it on GamePass and looking to dive deeper into it.
I really want to get a physical copy for my Switch collection, but I’ve heard First Press Games is a bit suspect…not sure I want to throw money their way. I hope a true NA physical edition is released!
Sounds almost like a modern day FF Mystic Quest on SNES that will be a great intro for kids looking to try an RPG.
I was secretly hoping it would be mediocre so I could skip it…my backlog is large enough as it is…but does seem like it will be an easy going/relaxing game. Maybe I’ll scoop up the physical release on a sale and play it one day. lol
Looks pretty cool. It’s definitely on my radar now. The top down perspective then going to first person perspective reminds me of playing Jurassic Park on SNES. The JP game kinda sucked, but I always remember as a kid thinking how awesome it was switching between being top down while outside and going first person inside of buildings. So this is hitting those nostalgia vibes for me!
@sketchturner Yeah I did see that. If a game has a physical edition, I’m more inclined to get that than digital. I never double dip with physical/digital either. Old habits die hard, I guess. I’m too “old” to adopt a digital only mindset.
Love the aesthetics. Cool that there is a physical version, but not sure I wanna drop $35 on it. I’ll throw it up on my Amazon wishlist and probably forget about it unless someone buys it for me. lol

Re: Celeste Creator Shares "First-Look" At New Title Earthblade
This looks awesome! I was extremely bad at Celeste and I’m pretty average at Hollow Knight. This game will probably kick my butt. lol
Re: Round Up: Everything Announced At The Game Awards 2022 - Every Game Reveal And Trailer
Overall, I would give it a solid B grade. Honestly went in thinking it would be a D- as the past ones felt mediocre and a let down.
There were enough announcements for every platform that I think it could have been the best set so far.
I’m super interested in Earthblade…but I assume it’ll be hard are heck…never could finish Celeste.

Looks promising. The name is giving me “Bootleg Ratchet & Clank” vibes though…

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 3rd)
Due to my atrocious backlog, I just finished my first play through of Astral Chain. Started up Wargroove and probably about 3-4 hours into it now.

Love me some retro video game found footage!
Re: Humongous Classic Collection Receiving Limited Run Physical Switch Release
Saw this the other day on LRG’s website. I’ve been gaming since the early 90s and have no clue what games and characters these are.
Re: Nintendo Direct Announced For The Premiere Of Super Mario Bros. Movie's Second Trailer
They need to call their movie announcements something other than a ‘Nintendo Direct’.
