Hope they are micromanaged by HAL, otherwise not looking forward to the possibility of getting games with QA issues that could creep up on gollum and skull island rise of kong.
It still makes me sad this was the last Wario platformer we got, and more likely than not considering how long it has been now, the last one we'll ever get.
"The performance issues from the latest release are too fundamental in nature to be addressed without rebuilding the entire game engine, and we're not interested in doing that. Have some DLC."
Experiencing the launch of this game back in 1996 was something else. After all the time of only seeing static screenshots in gaming magazines during the lead up, and then getting to experience it in person was unforgettable. How fast Mario moved, the controls, the camera (yeah it is janky by today's standards, but then it was revolutionary). The future was here, and it rocked.
If they're bringing this back, are they also bringing back the viciousness of the original games? Example being, rolling a 30 with a gold mushroom and visiting the boo at least four times to steal everybody's stuff this round.
Within spitting distance of the pricing for microsoft and sony's service. In the grand scheme of things, $50 a year isn't that much...but wouldn't trust them to only add three games a year to it at this point. Also still have my original hardware and carts, and they'd need to add more value to that service to make me remotely interested.
Single use TMs are honestly obnoxious, and personally hated seeing that aspect of the game return in sword/shield through TRs. It just adds more incentive to cheat..
Honestly am expecting that last smash character to be cinderace. Personally don't care for that character, so just about anything else would be interesting.
This was such a cool game. I kinda wish Nintendo would allow those staff back together and not micromanage them too much to let something like this happen again, but I don't really see it happening.
The overworld chibi style is not too bad, though would have liked them to to have done more to distance from the mobile style coloring/shaders. Is closer to the source material then the gen 3 remakes were...kind of found the player model there a little off putting.
If the games are indeed a 1 for 1 reproduction of d/p, I hope there is at least SOME additional new post game content to justify the price hike, since it does like like the battle system/animations have been copy pasted yet again.
Assuming this is actually true, don't know how motivated I'd be to drop $60 on it. Game freak will almost certainly copy-paste the battle engine yet again - with only two stale animations for all a pokemon's moves, and hamfistedly shove in some gimmick instead of addressing balance issues in the underlying game.
Awesome games, glad to see them get a release on switch.
Be aware that they are extremely unforgiving, and it is very easy for the player to die, so your experience will be directly proportional to tolerance of frustration.
Would be nice if they invest a tiny bit into bettering their users online experience with the switch, though realistically I feel any significant change until the next console is rather remote.
What I can't really understand in that video is a save block was placed very close to what the player is reasonably assumed to think will be a boss battle with the big goomba AND THEN THEY"RE BLOCKED FROM BEING ABLE TO USE IT. That player tries repeatedly to use it before giving up, I know that would be my reaction too.
Personally played this game quite a few years ago on PC and enjoyed it. Certainly feels like it was created by someone who liked Link's Awakening, including exploring glitch dimensions as a post-game activity.
Ditto being in the raid rotation would be helpful. Though I wished there was an option to skip the dynamax animation. Having to sit through it every time kind of kills it for me.
That could be cool, a "next best thing" for telling more stories set in the Mother universe. Though no I've got a feeling this will just be retreading the events the existing games, most likely Mother 2.

And yet 4K is still inadequate to contain all that is Madame Flurrie.

Re: Nintendo Introduces The Cast Of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
Madame Flurrie's "stage presence".
Vivian being here is also kind of a spoiler for those that haven't previously experienced the game..
Looking forward to playing it again. Maybe we can get some new games?

Re: Soapbox: Getting The Master Sword In Tears Of The Kingdom Is Zelda At Its Best
That part of the game was a pretty cool plot twist. The fact the master sword still has durability after going all of that is kind of a letdown..
Re: Feature: 17 Reasons To Be Excited About The Super Mario RPG Remake
Pretty surprising to see this allowed the light of day again. Loved the original game back in 96, probably will pick this up.
Will also be rather interesting to see how they handle things like Toadstool's "???" and Grate Guy's Casino this time round.

Re: Gamers Vote Nintendo DS As The Console They'd Most Like To See Make A Modern Comeback
The ds was a good system, but I'd dread something like this degenerating into a bunch of copy-paste remaster games and not much beyond it.
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Has Now Outsold Mario Kart Wii
I'd hazard Nintendo hopes that tour can stand in for a Mario kart 9.

Probably as close to the pricing for xbox live and ps plus for the expansion + legacy online pass as they can get.
