Apart from its E3 treehouse presentation, last year Nintendo didn't share much information at all about Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Now that we're in 2020, though, it seems to already be gearing up for the game's big release in March.
We're only two days into the year, and we've already got a new commercial, confirming Isabelle's return, and now some brand new screenshots have been uploaded to the game's Japanese website. The first is a picture of a group of villagers and the rest showcase the different seasons in the new entry for Switch.
Take a look below:

That looks so adorable and it feels like there is a lot to do. Animal Crossing has yet to hook me but I still want to give this entry a chance.
It looks cute though, but it still looks like Animal Crossing New Leaf from the camera angle aspect. 🙁
I felt a bit disappointed from the first time i saw the trailer.
I expected it should be at least dynamic camera angle in open world style, just like Dragon Quest Builders.
Oh, well.... New Horizon for me is a sequel of New Leaf.
10/10 and I haven't even played it yet, it looks amazing
At this point, they can show O’Hare on the toilet and I’d get excited for the game. It feels like it’s been forever! But I think it’s safe to say, we’re all appreciative of the delay and the extra details going in. I really loved how they were focusing on the wind in the trees in that one presentation they gave a few months back. Even stuff like that, that’s what Nintendo games are all about: the small intricate details. Perfect example of this is Luigi’s Mansion 3. The sheer amount of detail and interactivity in that game is staggering.
March can’t come soon enough!!
Where is bob where is bob where is bob where is bob
If there’s Beardo and Camofrog, I’ll be set. Hopefully there’s not a great culling like with Dexgate
I am so torn, I always prefer physical copies of games. But I know I will be playing this game daily after it comes out. I might, for once, prefer digital for that reason.
This game is leaps and bounds better looking than New Leaf. I can't wait to pay that loan shark Tom Nook back for my house.
Game of the Year 2020!
Who needs next gen consoles when we have years of entertainment with Animal Crossing New Horizons?
Looks so good hard waiting until March to play . I love the new information though !!
A great showcase of all five seasons.
I see Vesta, so I'm all set.
@Heavyarms55 Was always going to go digital on this one. Learned my lesson from New Leaf. It got real annoying, super fast, having to constantly swap this game out for something else, when I played this continuously. I’d highly recommend going this route, and also use up a NSO game voucher, if you still have one.
Looking good, still Day 1 for this.
I hope we still have the same villagers from the previous installments.
I feel kind of jealous. I so want to love these games but I just don’t get it, feel like I’m missing out on Nintendo goodness :/
And then to think this game is releasing the day before my birthday
@YozenFroghurt it indeed looks like an HD version of Animal Crossing. Because well, it's Animal Crossing.
@Heavyarms55 I’m in the same boat as you; I’m usually a 100% physical copy person when it comes to big 1st party titles, but I might make an exception for AC. Especially if they release a special edition standard Switch with NH pre-loaded on it, since my poor launch unit it starting to struggle.
It puzzles me how something like a wooden log now exists in four different visual representations, with various degrees of stylization, depending on the context.
Aww Goldie is so adorable ^^
It's looking great! Love the group photo at the beginning
@Yorumi Yeah I'd like for them to revert to the camera style from the original AC on Gamecube. While a low camera can be nice, the overhead approach was much better. I remember in New Leaf using the look up action just to de-load the trees and see if anything was behind them for hide and seek.
