@TheFullAndy I might be wrong, but if I had to guess: I don't think Sony ever had an exclusive deal with Atlus; Atlus probably felt the series was too niche, so they played it safe and made it exclusive to PlayStation, which was generally always the platform leader.

But after the massive success of Persona 4 Golden on Steam, it's pretty obvious that there's way more money to be made from making the series multiplatform. Persona 5 Royal is most likely getting a PC port next, and if I had to guess, they will probably announce a Switch port around the same time.

@ChromaticDracula If you have an Android device or Raspberry Pi, just download the Steam Link app, and you can stream your PC to it. Then, in Steam, add a Library shortcut, and add Super Mario 64 PC, so that it appears in your Steam Library.

@nessisonett It's a AAA blockbuster, so it was always going to sell well at launch. However, sales are dropping off rapidly in the second week and stores are refusing to offer refunds; so it might not have lasting legs.

And I think it will be a "go woke, go broke" situation for them in the long run. Most people weren't aware that ND were woke before this game, but now that they know, I think it will affect future sales of their games. But it's not so much the wokeness that will lose sales for them, but fear that they will subvert expectations in controversial ways again.

Unlike Nintendo games made in Dreams on PS4, Nintendo can't really put a stop to a PC game once it's been released on the Internet. It will just be kept alive through torrents and other sites. AM2R, for example, is still easily downloadable to this day.

Re: Nintendo Earned Almost $2 Billion In Digital Sales This Year, A 72% Yearly Increase

@RPGamer Well I'm probably twice your age, with a fulltime job and a family, and still make time to game. And I'll always be a gamer, regardless of the media it comes on.

Hell, most of the Nintendo YouTubers you probably watch are largely in their 30's, and started out on NES and are still gaming to this day. No offense, but you sound like you're kinda parroting these 30+ year olds and their rhetoric about physical media, rather than embracing the digital generation of gaming you're actually from.

And ironically, as you get older and start a family, you do start to appreciate digital more, for the convenience factors.

@RPGamer Switch definitely wasn't "original", since the Aikun Morphus x300, Razer Edge Pro, Wikipad and a few others basically did the same "Switch" idea before the Switch.

The basic concept of the Switch is that it's a tablet, which you can connect detachable controllers to the sides of, and turn in to a handheld gaming console. Then, the "Switch" part is that you can also dock the tablet, detach the controllers, and use it on a TV screen for a console experience. Literally, those 3 aforementioned devices did just that; you could detach the side controllers from each of those devices, dock the tablet part to a TV and use each device like a console and also as a handheld.

And conceptually, all of that, was completely different to how the Wii U functioned; the Wii U GamePad didn't contain the actual specs of the system; ostensibly the Wii U was a rip off of Sony's PSP to PS3 remote play.
