Re: Surprise! DOOM + DOOM II Get Newly Enhanced Release On Switch eShop

@ZeldaFan83 Good question. I assume you have to pay for it if you haven't bought the old releases, but I'm not 100% sure. I can't imagine it's free for everyone, but I'm sure the price is really good. Bethesda has always had good prices for these new versions of Doom and Quake(10 bucks or less).

Heads up guys, unfortunately you cannot update your old existing versions of the games to these new versions. You have to download it separately off the eShop. Feel free to delete the old ones after though. I verified all the 'add-ons' released for the old versions are present here so there's no reason to waste space with the old versions.

I never expected it to reinvent the wheel. I always assumed it was just going to continue what the original trilogy established albeit updated with modern day HD graphics. Honestly it had been so long since 3 I had mostly given up hope of there ever being another Prime so I'm just happy to finally get another game in one of my favorite series ever. I'll never ever forget all those many years ago(ugh im getting old..) playing the first Prime on my Gamecube and the magical experience it was. Retro instantly became video game gods.

@PoundShopOrwell Glad to be of service! Just so ya know, the button remapping was already built into Extreme-G, it was not something Nintendo added. Goldeneye never had remapping(just the pre-set controller configurations), though Nintendo definitely should have added them or some kind of modern dual stick controller setup like Microsoft did for Goldeneye on Xbox. However you can actually make Goldeneye playable by using the Switch's own button remapping. Have you done that? It's pretty easy and well worth the effort! GameXplain has a great video on how to do it.

@judaspete I'm not super optimistic about a collection happening, but that would be awesome, especially since 3 and 4 were on the Gamecube. I had 3 for my Gamecube back in the day, but I have never played Extreme-G Racing Association. The one entry in the series that has always eluded me.

Re: Splatoon 3 'Fresh Season 2024' Brings New Weapons, Stages & Gear To The Splatlands

vio

@AlexanderDaniels Most seasons do not have any new modes, so that is standard. New weapons are also pretty rare, so this season gets a W on that front. Those new dualies look killer too IMO. Could definitely see myself maining them. I pre-purchased Side Order way back when it was announced so I am going to be so busy playing that that any missing content for the new season, like a returning stage for PvP for example, isn't going to phase me. I get the impression that you have not and are not going to purchase Side Order? If so, I think you're likely gonna miss out big time. ThatSrb2DUDE already played it and said it is great(see the video he just uploaded). I am pretty convinced now that it is going to be even better than Octo Expansion was.

@AlexanderDaniels Uhm, how so? The lack of a returning battle stage is disappointing and odd, but otherwise the season seems comparable to the others. You've got new PVP and Salmon Run stages, 2 new weapons, new music, the brand new thing in Splatfest and I'm assuming there's weapon variants that weren't shown in the trailer. And of course before this season drops, we've got Side Order FINALLY releasing next week. That's A LOT of content!

Re: Yes, The Nintendo Switch Showcase Really Was Seven Years Ago

To think that Retro made the entire Metroid Prime trilogy in less time than 4 here.. At this point I've given up pretty much all hope it is coming to the Switch...unless Nintendo pulls a Zelda with it ala Twilight Princess and BotW where there's a Switch version that gets completely overshadowed by the version on the new console. Why do I have a feeling MP4 is going to be a launch title for the Switch successor?

Re: Nintendo Expands Its Switch Online N64 Library With Three More Titles

@Bolt_Strike My point remains that this is one of, if not the best N64 drops there's ever been and that guy immediately hops on to drop a junk comment about how he want Star Wars games instead of being thankful for what we just got. Ridiculous.. Not to mention anyone with half a brain knows we aren't getting Star Wars games on NSO anyway.
