@stuntz0rZ What do you mean you didn't think anyone would be playing this anyway? There's people playing it all the time. Don't forget this version of Quake has cross-play too. Plays a big role in keeping the online community active.

@GrailUK Seems very likely! I remember Digital Foundry pondering over how the Switch was doing some fancy stuff with clouds or something in more receny BotW 2 footage a few months back. That might explain how.

@Slinkoy1 You'd think everyone would have come to grips with this by now. It is simply the time we live in. Everyone else does it so it is not reasonable to expect Nintendo not to. I personally like that the internet has allowed games to now be updated with new content as long as its not pay to win garbage.

Pfff, the casuals can think whatever they want. Fact is Nintendo have not even revealed that much yet. 3 spent more time in development than either 1 or 2 did. I strongly believe it will come out of the gate more fleshed out than the first 2 and just like them, will receive tons of post release content. Franky this is my most anticipated game for the Switch, period. Yes, really. I am a hardcore obsessed fan. Fell in love with it in a way I have not any other game series/franchise the moment I played the first one on my Wii U. I don't think I've had more fun with any other game. It is video game perfection to me.

Can we please get their excellent Forsaken remaster on the Switch already? Heretic and Hexen would also be welcome.

@bonjong23 To be fair, it's still not guaranteed no more N64 tracks are coming. The "?" prefixes could be ANYTHING, including 64 courses. But yeah, if no more are coming, that's fine. The only others I would like added are DKs Jungle Parkway and Koopa Troopa Beach.

@Ninfan Because any new tracks will be saved for the next Mario Kart which will surely be released on Nintendo's next console. And just because you've already played those tracks doesn't mean all of us have. Most of the tracks in Wave 1 I had never played before. Only Coconut Mall and Choco Mountain.

Actually it's been over 4 months since Wave 1 released. I don't know what Nintendo is doing here, but this is some grade A BS.

@kkslider5552000 I always thought the same thing as well and that might still be the case with Capcom, but I'm not so sure about Konami because they put Castlevania Bloodlines and Contra Hard Corps on the Genesis/Mega Drive NSO.

@wizzgamer That was so stupid. A "family" system? What does that even mean? The Switch has plenty of violent horror games and M rated games in general. Doom, Resident Evil, Zombie Army, Mortal Kombat 11, Friday the 13th, Dead by Daylight. Just to name a few. Should the GTA Trilogy not be on the Switch since it's a "family" system? SMH. BTW, most of Nintendo's marketing of the Switch has been targeted at teens and young adults, not little children and families.

How is Saturn emulation these days?

@JR150 There's the very Overwatch like Paladins and the very COD like Warface. Both are free to play so may as well give them a try if you haven't yet. Oh yeah, there's also Apex Legends which is also free to play.

Unless it has Zombies, count me out. I love how they droppped 2 CoD's on one of Nintendo's biggest failures, but have completely ignored the now 100 million plus juggernaut that is the Switch for years now. Activision logic. 🤦‍♂️

Overall I'm quite happy. The tracks look better than expected, though I agree with the person who said the grass texture is just fugly. I really hope they replace it via a patch, but that seems ulikely knowing Nintendo. My biggest complaint is that you can't play them online yet! Seriously Nintendo? I have no interest in racing against the boring ass bots.

Wait? These courses won't be available for online races until the 21st? I really hope that's not the case!

It's frankly not as good as I remember. The courses are pretty simplistic and boring. Even by N64 standards the game is pretty fugly. I wish everyone would just play Fast RMX instead. Beautiful modern HD graphics, 60fps and full proper lag free online.

@dustinprewitt Personally I can't stand the Wii U Majora's Mask or the Wii U Virtual
Console in general because of that damn dark filter on all the games. More so a shame the Wii VC is long gone now... It was the OG and still the best. To think we got TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine masterpieces like Rondo of Blood and Lords of Thunder on there! Fat chance of that ever happening on the Switch.

@Wexter Not sure what you mean by copy and paste, I didn't read your comment. To answer your question, why are assuming Nintendo would accrue any cost here? Nightdive self funds most of their remasters. If Nightdive wants to pay for it and put in the man hours, Nintendo should allow them.

Shameful Nintendo.. Nightdive have long since proven they are masters of their craft.

@octokid Yes, of course you can. Just as you could with the DLC for the Wii U version of 8. They mentioned this in the trailer, not sure how you missed that.

@ChimpHunter 100% with you! I likewise have the EP, so I'm getting this truckload of new content for free essentially. My biggest gripe with Deluxe was that it's focus was all on the Battle Mode, which admittedly did need to be fixed as it was a joke in the Wii U version, but I like to race! It took forever but here comes Nintendo with "Hows 48 more tracks sound to you?" LOL. I'm anxiously awaiting March 18th. MK 9 can wait until the Switch successor is here.
