@ikki5 That is pretty similar to me I bought VI for basically nothing (Just as I saw it) and then IV and V for an inflated price none of which went to SE.
I was going to buy the Japanese one for the Wii version but I don't think I will need it now. (Obviously I will still use the wiimote). Probably just get it digitally though.
It wasn't vapourware because it was made. (As the Wii version proves).
@JaxonH I will never buy those games on the Wii U there has not been a single one I think is of acceptable quality. (Compare to the Gamecube where all of them I was perfectly happy with the port quality).
@Dipper723 I knew the amount of content for the first half of 2015 was too good to be true. Seems worse than 2014 even. (Tropical Freeze / MK8 were at least two big releases. 2015 has zero now).
Not putting the video output pins into the Megadrive expansion port was the first big mistake. Maybe they should have done the passthrough thing for the Mega CD and put better video hardware in that.
The Saturn had plenty of power it was just under utilised (Seems to be a recurring theme to this day).
@Kaze_Memaryu So you are against someone's work at least enough to condemn it publicly but not enough to not use it if it benefits you is that correct ?
@JWFinnegan I don't understand why with advanced planning they cannot do the localisation at the same time as the original Japanese release. The numbers don't make sense if something like DQIX is compared to anything else the better game sold better.
@AugustusOxy Modern console games physical makes no difference - at the point where you can no longer get the patch / online is turned off then it is just as worthless as a download. Steam is good in that you can easily break the DRM if you ever need to which gives a real guarantee of being able to play indefinitely.
@Faruko Have you tried Punch Quest ? that was originally F2P but then nobody needed the microtransactions so it ended up switching to a paid game. (It is better than it should be possible to be - I would say certainly better than say runner 2).
@AirElephant Reggie is nothing compared to Howard Lincoln I agree. Anything of note Reggie did was cancel the forward planning done by Lincoln for the future. Retro being able to make 4 games at once including a sports game would have made quite a difference at the moment.
When Lincoln got EA back on board then they stayed onboard (GC Era).
@Porky What they are worth shouldn't really matter. What should matter is the price that gets Nintendo the most money. If the amount of money they get drops by a huge amount the price is wrong.
"A huge, seamlessly unfolding world is something that can't be achieved if the hardware isn't advanced enough." - Ultima VII managed it in 1992 (And better than pretty much anything else since).
The SNES port understandably was cut back but any system after that should have been able to handle it. (It was a 20MB game).
@gcunit The current method only uses a tiny fraction of the scale for the games most people would bother with anyway.
9 can mean its a half decent game in a genre the reviewer likes (Or the site grades too highly for the big first party Nintendo games in order to get the embargo dropped first.)
@Maelstrom Nowhere has pure capitalism other than the black market. The government bailing out massive companies that failed is certainly not part of the theory.
It is a technical impossibly to have Nintendo like profits without stock. Making stuff as needed is always going to be less profitable than making loads of them at once.
TV Advertising is a waste of money. (That could be spent on making the game being advertised better).
@Desrever All walks of life includes e.g the ISIS viewpoint. I don't see why fictional characters need to have any basis whatsoever in reality in fact I prefer them not to.

Re: Video: Even the Glitches in Super Mario Galaxy Are Awesome
@DBPirate It seems like they plan to remake this (Or else why start with 2). Maybe not for the Wii U.
Re: Poll: Which 2015 Nintendo Blockbusters Should Have amiibo Support?
@Fazermint Yep. The content is like the DLC that is hated the most. The cost is even higher.
Re: Eiji Aonuma Talks About his Journey to Becoming The Legend of Zelda’s Producer
"but what's interesting is that a lot of those games had a very Zelda-like feel to them." What is annoying is none of them were released in the West.
Re: Feature: Ten Upcoming Nindie eShop Games to Watch on Wii U and 3DS
Shantae is on iOS as well. (Supports physical controls).
Re: Fans Are Translating Dragon Quest VII On 3DS Because Square Enix Won't
@tudsworth I never saw any advertising for IX. IV and V though definitely had issues with stock.
Re: Nintendo Download: 5th March (North America)
@manu0 Yep - Nintendo's version of crossbuy is pay for both.
Re: Final Fantasy Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi Really Doesn't Like Direct Sequels
@NintyMan Think of something like A Song of Ice and Fire that wouldn't work in one book of any length.
Re: Fans Are Translating Dragon Quest VII On 3DS Because Square Enix Won't
@SuperCharlie78 Probably that is what SE wants but Nintendo has looked at what it would involve. It is one of the longest JRPG's there is.
Re: Fans Are Translating Dragon Quest VII On 3DS Because Square Enix Won't
@ikki5 That is pretty similar to me I bought VI for basically nothing (Just as I saw it) and then IV and V for an inflated price none of which went to SE.
Re: Fans Are Translating Dragon Quest VII On 3DS Because Square Enix Won't
@Fededx DQ IX sold the best in the West out of any DQ game.
Re: Nintendo Executive Discusses the eShop, Indies, and Their Relationship With Nintendo
Megaman 9 / Konami's Rebirth's / Hudsons stuff (Especially Star Soldier R) / World of Goo / Master Blaster or ports. I know I prefer the wiiware.
Re: First Run Wii U Copies of Rodea the Sky Soldier Will Include the Wii Version in Western Release

Re: New Nintendo 3DS Undone by Dragon Quest Heroes and PS4 in Japanese Charts
@Quorthon Even split between Playstation / Nintendo for the main series games. (PS1 era plus ignoring the first VI being Nintendo exclusive).
VII / VIII PS
IX / X - Nintendo
Re: Copyright Owner of 'Trollface' Image Explains Role in Getting Meme Run Taken Down
@NauticalCrimes IQ Test is still up.
Re: New Nintendo 3DS Undone by Dragon Quest Heroes and PS4 in Japanese Charts
This is why getting DQXI on the Wii U is so important.
Re: Gone Home Console Versions Are "Not Actively in Development Any Longer"
@Mega719 The ittle dew ones did.
Re: Nintendo Unleashes Commercials and Minigame Videos for Mario Party 10

Re: Yacht Club Games Announces Free Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows DLC Expansion
This is playable boss knight #1 of #3.
Re: Yacht Club Games Announces Free Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows DLC Expansion
Re: Yacht Club Games Announces Free Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows DLC Expansion
@Kaze_Memaryu I think there are two other packs like this still to come. (Promised free as part of the kickstarter - stretch goals).
Re: Gone Home Console Versions Are "Not Actively in Development Any Longer"
I would rather have "The Letter" than this to the EU.
(I have played it and it has nothing going for it not even the so bad it is good thing the Letter apparently has).
Re: Yacht Club Games Announces Free Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows DLC Expansion
@Mommar Other than they promised it as part of the kickstarter. If you promise something you should do it.

Re: Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power Announced for a 2015 Release
Trine 2 is much more enjoyable at 60fps.
Re: Interplay Is Remastering Cult SNES Brawler ClayFighter
Clayfighter was the second SNES game I got iirc. (After bundled SF2 Turbo).
Re: Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 Confirmed for 3DS
Hopefully at least the new 3DS gets 60fps this time.
Re: Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria Adventuring to 3DS and Wii U This Year

Re: Talking Point: The Limited Edition Battle With eBay Scalpers Can be Tackled More Efficiently by Nintendo
I think the best way to stop it would be to just keep making more until they stop selling.
The tactic cannot work when there are say 3,000,000 of them.
Re: Amazon UK and Tesco Now Flogging Wii U Premium Pack Bundles for £189
This is only £10 less than I paid for the MK8 bundle when it came out, hardly a massive discount.
Re: Rodea: The Sky Soldier Confirmed For Release In North America And Europe
@Yomerodes No Name ? He was the main person behind Sonic.
Re: Reaction: Pokémon Shuffle Isn't Quite Microtransaction Hell, But It's Getting There

It is already a trophy isn't it ?
Re: Soapbox: Portable Gaming Forges a Special Relationship With the Player, and Nintendo is the Master in the Field
I am in the utter nonsense camp.
Re: 3DS Flashcard Users Playing ROMs Online Reportedly Receiving Bans from Nintendo
The same mechanism could end up banning loads of people who unknowingly buy a bootleg Pokemon cartridge in the future.
Re: Review: IRONFALL Invasion (3DS eShop)
@Einherjar Compared to Renegade rereleasing the same games that was not any good last time I think these guys did a much better thing.

@Gridatttack All the proper cheat stuff only works on 4.5 anyway.
Re: 3DS Flashcard Users Playing ROMs Online Reportedly Receiving Bans from Nintendo
@Jayvir That instance isn't blocked. (Dumping your own cart has the same headers).
Re: 3D Streets Of Rage 2 Rated By Australian Classification Board
@JaxonH We have Sonic 1 already. (2 is the rubbish one).
Re: Weirdness: BAFTA Appears To Have Clean Forgotten That The Nintendo 3DS Even Exists
Racism against Japan by the looks of it. (From what I can tell it is not anything like they all have to be made in the UK).
Re: Weirdness: This Video Uses Super Mario Bros. 2 to Illustrate the Consequences of Capitalism
@Quorthon The internet came from the military.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses - Master Quest Concert Song List Revealed
Fourth movement: "A Link to the Past Finale" Is that the Dark World theme that is remixed for ALBW ?
Also I cannot believe the Ballad of the Windfish is not in it. I think that would sound lots better with real instruments.
