Android would be a terrible idea unless it was just some type of optional comparability layer like blackberry has. (The Retroarch/Libretro blog has a really good explanation of why).
@Noelemahc All I know is Valve found out if they drop the price by 75% gross revenue increases approximately twentyfold. (That is why they kept doing it).
@CharlyDunst The issue is entirely Nintendo (Humble Bundle handled different keys for different regions just fine for the Deep Silver bundle).
Not at all. I have most of them other than Stealth Inc 2 on Steam and the first I wasn't happy with technically like most of Curve digital's games. (Explodemon looks like it should be great but that doesn't work properly either).
[Offtopic] The Windows Store version of Civilisation V works brilliantly with a touch screen so there is no reason why this genre isn't suitable for any tablet e.g iOS / Android.
@arronishere They are not legally enforceable for download content otherwise what Apple / Steam / Google are doing would have landed them in court by now.
@AlexMurphy I know that is possible. (Reason for using an ARM11 or Cortex A7 supporting both abi's). What I don't understand is why 3dbrew says otherwise on that page. Given that nearly all the working exploits have been developed by those guys and that is their site.
I will be absolutely gutted if they bring back the SNES classic controller at 7000 stars after I have spent all my stars and bought the Super Famicom version.
There is plenty of room for them but the only way at this point I am willing to pay is if the last game was good enough. (Yacht Club Games / Edelweiss / Super Giant Games / Treasure (On the strength of the Ikaruga steam port) and that is about it).
@DarthNocturnal You cannot sensibly (Or fairly) compare Thunderblade to Super Thunderblade (In the same way you cannot compare Galaxy Force 2 on the Megadrive to the Arcade version).
@LztheQuack Konami looks pretty well diversified lots of different markets little risk cannot see how they will fail.
@Nintendian The ones being made by the big game companies are equally lousy. Take Ubisoft the Gamepad bits of Rayman Legends would be a perfect mobile game but they make a boring endless runner instead.
@Sample_Text GX didn't use pressure triggers. (Not sure about the AX Controls). It works exactly the same whether you use the standard buttons or switch to the analog triggers (Which don't work in an analog manner).
Every time they have said they wanted another pillar it has ended up with there only being 2 pillars left. (I just home console makes the cut - replacing 3DS quality games with stuff on iOS with real controls would be ok for me.).
@OorWullie Ultraton is also an old game. (2 years old anyway). If it was brand new and on Wii U first or at the same time then it would be top quality.
(The last Puppy Games port was of unacceptable quality - probably easier to just get the originals which are pretty much perfect).
@DarthNocturnal IX on the DS was the only one that was properly promoted. (Or even stocked). Problem is the extra effort required due to Dragon Quest games actually having content. (Unlike say Bravely Default)

Re: Video: Latest Teens React Episode Proves Age Has Done Little To Dull Contra's Insane Difficulty Level
@BigH88 The Arcade Ghosts n Goblins is another thing entirely. (The hardest parts are all much more forgiving on the NES).
Re: Sonic Dash Passes 100 Million Smart Device Downloads for SEGA
Zaxxon Escape is a better game (It is just difficult its not broken beyond repair due to the monetization scheme.)
Re: Reminder: Time's Running Out to Grab the Humble Nindie Bundle
@Faruko The codes for e.g the Mewtwo DLC had an expiration date. I guess it is up to Nintendo.
Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Smashes Past $3.5 Million, More Stretch Goals Announced
I just hope the difficulty curve is better than what we have had for e.g the DS games.
Re: Capcom Reveals E3 Plans and Mega Man Legacy Collection for 3DS
It should be like what they did for the PSP with the first Megaman.
Re: Sonic Dash Passes 100 Million Smart Device Downloads for SEGA
I won't touch adware. (I had it installed for the time taken for me to first see an advert.)
Re: Poll: We Need to Talk About amiibo - Where Do You Stand?
I want to buy the Splatoon 3 pack for a sane price. (Then get a digital copy of the game).
I won't pay £75 for the Amiibo (Or buy the incomplete game).
Re: Asynchronous Online Multiplayer to Feature in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
@WaveBoy Get the real thing (X68000 with a selection of 80's hardware synths.
Re: Humble Nindie Bundle Has A Dramatic Impact On eShop Charts
I wonder how organised the Ebay code sellers have been with this.
(I hope that problem doesn't present itself until quite a bit later).
Re: No FIFA For Nintendo Fans This Year, States EA
@CreativeWelshman Yeah but same as Ubisoft (And Square Enix) they did one game of the type of quality that should be standard.
Re: No FIFA For Nintendo Fans This Year, States EA
Konami should go for it. (The last 3DS version is great).
The last main version on PC is quite good fun as well. (I really don't like playing Fifa).
Re: Despite the Rumours, Nintendo NX Will Not be Android Based
Android would be a terrible idea unless it was just some type of optional comparability layer like blackberry has. (The Retroarch/Libretro blog has a really good explanation of why).
Re: Feature: Humble Nindie Bundle - The Developer's Perspective
It is interesting to see the average price was (It is a bit less now) double that of the current Sega / Relic bundle (That is full of AAA's).
Re: Talking Point: Retro Gamers Beware, PAC-MAN 256 Could be a Template for Nintendo's Smart Device Future
I have no interest whatsoever unless they support physical controls. (I have a Horipad for iOS and a Nyko Playpad Pro for Android).
Sega and SNK both support them.
Re: Humble Bundle Issues Official Statement About Region-Locked Nintendo Promotion
Re: BBC iPlayer Finally Arrives On The Wii U eShop
@LunaticPandora Up until recently there was a subscription version you could get outside the UK. (But it is due to close or has closed).
Re: Video: The Game Theorists Plot Out Mario's Timeline and Family Bloodline
@HyrulianOfHyrule I don't mind them as long as they are not anything to do with social science.
Re: Nintendo Wanted To Make Its Humble Bundle A Global Offer, Expects To Do So "Eventually"
Eventually for most people would be next week. For Nintendo it might be 5 years time.
Re: BBC iPlayer Finally Arrives On The Wii U eShop
@Mega719 With advertising (I think you get HBO without ad's though correct ?)
Cannot believe they are closing accounts of people who choose to pay and use a VPN.
(HBO that is).
Re: Interview: Nintendo of America's Damon Baker on the Brave New World of Humble Nindie Bundle
There is no excuse. The process has worked for deep silver who have region locked Steam keys.
Re: Curve Digital Discounts Wii U Titles By 50% in Europe
Not at all. I have most of them other than Stealth Inc 2 on Steam and the first I wasn't happy with technically like most of Curve digital's games. (Explodemon looks like it should be great but that doesn't work properly either).
Re: Nintendo Wanted To Make Its Humble Bundle A Global Offer, Expects To Do So "Eventually"
@ZenTurtle They don't even need to they can do it on a case by case basis. (See the Louvre guide which is region free)
Re: Interview: Nintendo of America's Damon Baker on the Brave New World of Humble Nindie Bundle
@Captain_Gonru Easiest way to avoid that problem is just temporarily redeem them onto a usb stick.
Re: MouseCraft Will Hope to Make Some Cheese on the Wii U eShop
I bought it ages ago I think for 1$ I have not played it yet though. (Spent quite a while working out how to get the steam key).
Re: Review: Metal Marines (Wii U eShop / Super Nintendo)
[Offtopic] The Windows Store version of Civilisation V works brilliantly with a touch screen so there is no reason why this genre isn't suitable for any tablet e.g iOS / Android.
Re: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Gets a Wii U Stretch Goal
Don't see why anybody would want a port when the lead platform is an option.
Re: Weirdness: Lorry Thieves Make Off With Splatoon Special Editions in Europe
Yet again Digital 4 Lyfe wins.
Re: Feature: Explaining Humble Bundle and What it Could Mean for Nintendo and Nindies
Where is the UK one is all I want to know.
Re: Review: New Super Mario Bros. (Wii U eShop / DS)
I like the fact that this actually expects wall jumps to be used.
Re: Feature: The Full Story Behind Star Fox 2, Nintendo's Most Famous Cancellation
@Damo Great and interesting article thanks.
Re: A Totally Complete Version Of Star Fox 2 Really Does Exist
@Grumblevolcano It is not really proof.
Re: Feature: The Full Story Behind Star Fox 2, Nintendo's Most Famous Cancellation
I hope it is not cinematic (At least if it is the Sony idea of that).
Re: Exclusive: eShop Publishers Are Dropping Releases In Germany Due To Low Sales And Cost Of USK Rating
@arronishere They are not legally enforceable for download content otherwise what Apple / Steam / Google are doing would have landed them in court by now.

Re: More Club Nintendo Goodies Coming To The European Stars Catalogue
I will be absolutely gutted if they bring back the SNES classic controller at 7000 stars after I have spent all my stars and bought the Super Famicom version.
Re: 3DS Hack Removes the Need for Flashcards to Play ROMS and Supports GBA Games
@AlexMurphy http://3dbrew.org/wiki/FIRM This seems to imply the Arm7 is still present. (I don't know enough to test either way).
Re: 3DS Hack Removes the Need for Flashcards to Play ROMS and Supports GBA Games
@linklore Clicks (And ad impressions) are more important sadly.
Re: Ronimo Games Explains Pricing for Swords & Soldiers II
There is plenty of room for them but the only way at this point I am willing to pay is if the last game was good enough. (Yacht Club Games / Edelweiss / Super Giant Games / Treasure (On the strength of the Ikaruga steam port) and that is about it).
Re: Capcom Hoping For "Aggressive Digital Download Sales" Of Remastered Classics
Well they should start with HD Remix for Wii U (Cannot see how they could lose on that one).
Re: Hudson's SNES JRPG Super Shell Monsters Story Finally Gets Translated Into English
My heart just sank (Thought it was Far East of Eden Zero).
I am sure people have been working on that for ages.
Re: Review: 3D Thunder Blade (3DS eShop)
@DarthNocturnal You cannot sensibly (Or fairly) compare Thunderblade to Super Thunderblade (In the same way you cannot compare Galaxy Force 2 on the Megadrive to the Arcade version).

Re: Sit Tight, Nintendo Will Announce Its E3 2015 Plans Tomorrow
@Einherjar Sunshine is an great example of why 30fps platformers are bad.
(They could fix it and it would be far more worthwhile than Windwaker HD).
Re: Iwata: 3DS Has Plenty Of Room For Growth, Female Gamers Key To Console's Continued Success In Japan
@baba_944 Yep Super Princess Peach 2 confirmed just what is needed.
Re: Nintendo Has Unannounced Wii U Titles Which Will Launch Before April 2016
@Sample_Text GX didn't use pressure triggers. (Not sure about the AX Controls). It works exactly the same whether you use the standard buttons or switch to the analog triggers (Which don't work in an analog manner).
Re: Nintendo Committed To Making Smart Device Gaming One Of Its Key "Revenue Pillars"
Every time they have said they wanted another pillar it has ended up with there only being 2 pillars left. (I just home console makes the cut - replacing 3DS quality games with stuff on iOS with real controls would be ok for me.).
Re: Former Castlevania Producer Koji Igarashi's Kickstarter Launches, But Won't Come To Nintendo Consoles
I will buy it on Steam but I won't back it. (Probably would have if it didn't have levellng).
Has anybody done something like this without levelling ? (Extra items but you are still just as weak when you start as end just better).
Re: Nintendo Download: 14th May (Europe)
@OorWullie Ultraton is also an old game. (2 years old anyway). If it was brand new and on Wii U first or at the same time then it would be top quality.

Re: Review: Runny Egg (3DS eShop)
I guess I will buy it if it comes to Europe.
