Re: Mario Kart 8's 200cc Mode Has Apparently Negated Firehopping

@Grumblevolcano This seems that it is finally how it should be. The heavier characters should be harder to use and take more practice. (Presuming that is what is going to happen over time).

I wish characters / parts could be changed between matches though. (More strategy depending on the competition or track).

@Barbiegurl777 I can only imagine (But I think pretty accurately) what would happen if somebody made a similar sort of thing called wife beaten.

(Both are as tasteless but peoples reactions would be different).

@ShanaUnite 3D Classics Kirby has loads of bugs fixed and the slowdown removed. It is definitely worth it.

The Wii U Kirby's Adventure is particularly broken. It is a 50hz game with the speed of Kirby increased but the rest of the game still runs at the original speed.

@Quorthon It is one place but the Western games media - a) have no taste in games generally or b) don't even like games but are in it because it has no standards really.

The Famitsu guy was the only guy in the E3 press tournament who looked as if he had ever touched a Smash Bros game before.

Re: Talking Point: Market Expectations Remain High For Nintendo and DeNA's Smart Device Crusade

The stock market seems to love web and mobile stuff. (Huge valuations for companies that are not and have not ever made any money).

The iOS / Android markets are crowded for companies without a known IP. (Sega / Square Enix etc usually have a few in the top paid sections).

Square Enix charges more than VC for the better old games. (That model must be viable or they wouldn't keep using it).

Re: Review: 3D Fantasy Zone II (3DS eShop)

Fantasy Zone II was good on the Master System. (Certainly more interesting than the first). Better port.

(Nowhere near as bad as some of the terrible NES Arcade ports anyway that shouldn't ever have been released in favour of the Arcade original).

Re: Talking Point: Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros. DLC Can Evolve the Concept of Nintendo 'Evergreen' Releases

@Octane Not sure that would apply to Mario Kart. People play it in large numbers until the next one is released.

Those other games you refer to are basically forgotten by that point. (And whereas the 3rd parties would have to pay to advertise Nintendo can make people aware for free on the eshop as annoying as it might be).

Civ V had its last expansion 3 years after release. (Is it bigger than Mario Kart ? almost certainly not the Wii incarnation).

(I don't want more but I would buy it presuming the price etc stays the same.)
