A bit odd. Others like Octopath Traveler and Triangle Strategy (and probably Live A Live at some point) were due to Square Enix taking over publishing duty from Nintendo. But Dragon Quest XI S was published by Square Enix at launch on Switch.

This looks just like Ys Origin, which is the only other Ys game I've ever been able to get into. So I'll definitely be getting this.

Gameloft did an outstanding job with The Oregon Trail. I'm sure this will be no different. Can't wait! It's like having my second grade computer lab on my Switch.

@Lightsiyd Given that Samsung only announced a 256GB that's not even out yet and SanDisk just now got anything larger than 1TB transferring at up to 250MB/s (less than a third of the speed of these new cards)... I'd say yeah, for the foreseeable future, they can't make these new cards larger than 256GB.

Not gonna do much good if they can't make it in larger sizes than 256GB. The new hardware means bigger file sizes and while Nintendo will likely keep theirs low, third parties already have Switch games that are 30-50GB. I'm gonna want more than six or seven games on my system.

Just an editing note, Tomb Raider I-III (as well as IV-VI) were developed by Core Design. Crystal Dynamics didn't take over the Tomb Raider franchise until Legend. They did oversee the remasters, though.

I've never played Myst before so I didn't know if maybe realMyst was a sequel, knockoff, or another poorly designed port that people just wanted to forget about, haha. I just remembered hearing about it when it was announced for Switch.

This is gonna be one of the best games ever. I'm so pumped for this.

That's a bummer. I was super excited to play Crossroads. Honestly couldn't care less about the original games.

Part of the reason is the long-winded segments everywhere else. Hideo Kojima and Jordan Peele took forever for absolutely ****ing nothing. You have to hear everything twice from Japanese developers because they say it and then it's translated. Then you have people have no idea how to speak publicly and just stumble on their words like the Hello Games guy. Even the dude whose game I can't wait for, Tales of Kenzera: Zau, had a touching story but just kept telling it for way too long. Stuff like that needs to be pre-recorded and edited.

But then even people who can speak publicly and who bring star power to the event just hinder it more than anything. Matthew McConaughey, Anthony Mackie, Simu Liu went on for way too long. And Anthony Mackie must've been drunk 'cause he was annoying as ****.

And then that incredibly stupid music segment was a giant waste of time. Who is watching the show for that?

Not sure what they're talking about with the environments and tracks looking drab. I mean, not every neon color is vomited all over you during a race, but the color palettes used in each track look great. If you have an iOS device, look at screenshots of it on Apple Arcade tab on the App Store. The tracks are gorgeous.

As someone who found Horizon Chase Turbo to be the best racer on Switch sans Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, I absolutely feel Horizon Chase 2 has taken that spot. It does have some framerate issues, but beyond that, it's incredible.

@CaleBoi25 It's a show that's just as much for parents as it is for kids. It teaches kids right from wrong, and also teaches parents good behaviors for when children aren't behaving.It also lacks the stupidity that seems to be a pre-requisite for most children's shows these days.

It does get sone flack for the parents handling the situations too well all the time. Makes some parents feel bad, lol.

It's an excellent show, though.

Is this the first Switch port of a game that released only on PS5/XS and not PS4/X1 as well? Kinda crazy if so.

Not sure how this leak could be considered unfortunate. Netherrealm and WB have not showed one second of Switch footage to allow consumers to decide whether or not they wanna spend $60-$110 on the game, but they're still locking a character behind a pre-order.

Why would it need to reach that number before the Switch 2 comes out? Sony sold the PS2 for 12+ years. It got discontinued the same year the PS4 came out.

I have trouble believing that the company that released a dozen Picross games on 3DS and a dozen Picross games on Switch, including a furry porn one, has any difficulty getting Nintendo to give them permission to use the IP.

125 million units with 15 million more expected over the course of the seventh year is crazy considering it’s never had a price drop and has nearly no other functionality other than playing games except YouTube, Hulu, and some anime apps.

If they drop the all three Switch models by $100 when the Switch 2 comes out and leave it on the market for a year or two, it’ll pass PS2 sales. The PS2’s MSRP was eventually lowered to $100 and wasn’t discontinued until the same year the PS4 came out!

No thanks. Way too many games in my backlog to consider a garbage entry in a series I couldn’t care less about.

I’d never even heard of Caverns of Mars. I must’ve skipped right over it in Atari 50. I love the Recharged series though, so this is a Day 1 purchase. Looks really fun. And I guess I should go give the original a try.

@ElRoberico Ohhh yeah! I always wanted to try that, too. I’ve been Nintendo-only since the Wii U launched, so I missed last gen’s Final Fantasy games.

I might have to buy a PS5 for XVI, though. That looks so good. I think that and VII Remake: Intergrade and Rebirth would get me my money’s worth out of the system. Plus I could try the real XV and maybe even XIV.

A new Crystal Chronicles game with couch, local, and online co-op would be my first choice. I adore that series. I’d be thrilled with the XIII trilogy too, though. And a port of Tactics: War of the Lions or Tactics A3 would be awesome. Pretty much anything except the Chocobo sub-series. Those games do nothing for me.

How cool would it be if Advance Wars 1&2: Re-Boot Camp was shadow dropped on Friday? I know Nintendo is publishing it, but they also published Cadence of Hyrule and it was announced during an Indie World.

All indie gaming is now is just roguelikes/lites, Metroidvanias, and a bunch of Joe Nobodies making lame knock-offs of good games. Replaying Paper Mario or The Thousand-Year Door for the hundreth time would still provide far more entertainment value than whatever this is.

Anyone else not able to add the keychains to their cart? The button is red and says “Add to Cart,” but when I press it, it acts like it’s loading and then nothing happens. Tried it on Safari and Chrome.

HOOOLY **** I never even dreamt of a Horizon Chase 2 because the first one is so damn good and they just kept adding to it. But that looks incredible. I’ll dabble in it on Apple Arcade, but it is definitely near the top of my most anticipated list for 2023. That’s one of the best announcements I’ve seen all year.

I mean I like a good bottle of Heinz ketchup as much as the next person, but this sets the gaming community back bad. Guess we are all just fat slobs who only eat whatever quick food Mom could fix for us when we were children.
