is the original Pac-Man World any good? Or is it one of those remaster+ that will disappoint everybody because the original game wasnt that good or didnt age well?
I would add RPG Time: The Legend of Wright and (https://youtu.be/X4B0IY-gPKM ) and Yars: Recharged (https://youtu.be/ruM3x2beZhY) to that list!
Super excited for Pac-Man World Re-PAC!
"Exciting."
I'm sure for someone.
I just want Shin-Chan, it kinda bugs me that the localization doesn't follow the anime's dub version with the names, but whatever. lol
I've been looking forward to Blossom Tales 2.
Cursed to Golf looked kind of cool in previews I saw a while back, but it kind of fell off my radar since then.
I’m finding Cult of the Lamb perversely intriguing. And I was unaware that there’s a Blossom Tales II. Thanks for the heads-up.
TMNT Cowabanga Collection is another one to look forward to.
I'm pretty psyched for SD Gundam Battle Alliance. Which, based on the demo, will run like a dream.
Pac-Man World Repac and maybe I’ll pick up Two Point Campus, but I’ll wait for a review on that one.
Been spending most our nights
living in an arcade paradise
Beat Pac-Man once or twice
living in an arcade paradise
No, why can't i say more then one word?
That’s stretching the definition of “exciting,” I’m afraid.
Are you kidding me? Saying that August doesn't look that great? People were addicted to Two Point Hospital. I know a couple people more excited about Blossom Tales than XenoBlade. FINALLY! A Shin-Chan game for the first time? That's a big deal! Pac-Man World Re-Pac?!? Even Namco admitted it only ported the game over because fans were pestering them to release. (See what happened with Force Unleashed.) Cult of the Lamb has a chance to be an indie game of the year contender. And yeah, you forgot the Cowabunga Collection. Konami's Collections always make the top 20 in sales, and that one is probably gonna hit #1 on the charts at launch, helped by people wanting more after Shredder's Revenge. It's a GREAT month.
@fenlix It's good. Fans were kinda asking for this. What they REALLY want is Pac-Man World 2! (There is a third game, but nobody wants it.) People will buy this appetizer to get to the main course. (It's not a full priced game, so that helps.)
Preordered cult of the lamb ( ps5 because switch doesn’t have them up yet) I played the demo and I’m hyped, I loved hades and this game just seems to be a mix of that with life sim, which I love!
@thinkhector Cult of the lamb is gonna be one heck of a game, devs even said the hades was the golden standard, they also mentioned long term support for the game! Probably not dead cells level, but we will get some updates. So idk, beats me in how people find this month boring lol.
Looks like lots of cute random games. The only one I've had my eye on is Pac-Man World Re-Pac; it looks really good. Maybe some of the others for my wishlist.
Frogun piques my interest but I'll wait for reviews, especially regarding how well it controls. I can't quite tell how cult of the lamb works, but it looks adorable and maybe really fun so I'll keep an eye on that one also. Blossom Tales I is on my backlog so I really need to play that before thinking about the sequel.
Just Cult Of The Lamb for me. Love Devolver Digital's games and this looks pretty sweet and the Switch version actually releases same day as other platforms! Rare to see Switch versions not delayed months behind the rest anymore it seems.
August is so crowded, while not on switch. i ultimately decided to get Soul Hackers 2 first on PC, and then the rest in the future.
Most of these look pretty good! We need an NES Ninja Gaiden Collection too!
I'm glad this is a calmer month. Will probably just get Pac-Man.
Might have to give pac man a try since I only played 3.
Two point also looks like it might be fun and I might get blossom tales 2 since I enjoyed the first games demo.
Cult of the lamb and lost in play look great but I'm doubtful I'll be done with Xenoblade anytime soon. I also recently got neon White and turtles that I haven't even touched yet so it's unlikely I'll be buying anything this month (I say this but will I?)
Turtles Cowabunga, Pac Man and of course Shin Chan for me please. Shin Chan is propably the one I am most excited about. Seems like a very hearty and peaceful game.
And if this game will be succesful, who knows, maybe we will get those summer vacation games.
August is a quiet month, so nothing for me. Splatoon 3 next month
Gundam Battle Alliance?
Wish Cursed to Golf, Lost in Play and Cult of Lamb get physicals, can but hope.
@fenlix I have a feeling its one of those game that people think they love because of the nostalgia but realise how bad it is after playing it.
Two Point Campus looks decent but those point and click games only really work with a mouse and keyboard.
No love for the Cowabunga collection?
It's weird Shin-Chan still doesn't have a proper release date.
@NinjaNicky They can work well with touch screen if more developers (including Nintendo) actually bothered to utilise it
Waiting for BF but I will get: two point campus, blossom tales 2 and pac man world.
Cowabunga Collection and Blossom Tales for me, with Two Point Campus on Gamepass
Pac-Man World Re-Pac is a game, I'll definitely pick up at some point in time, it looks like it'll be a fun game to play.
Arcade Paradise and Arcade Archives Gun Frontier for me.
Why is Amazon already "sold out" of Pac Man World Re-pac? 🤔 That's the only August game I was even considering...
@Bizzyb It's still available at Best Buy and Gamestop. It's also listed on Bandai Namco's online store.
@John_Koshiro Thanks! This is the 2nd sold out Switch pre order on Amazon (also No Man's Sky). Very weird..
The physical PAC man is a game exclusive in the U.K. I hate boneheaded decisions like that
Shin chan! I loved Attack of the Friday Monsters! This game looks like it’s got the same vibe. Please tell me there are people here who played and loved Attack of the Friday Monsters?!
@Clyde_Radcliffe I find it weird that Nintendo hardly ever use the touch screen on the Switch. I can't actually think of a game I play that uses it.
@NinjaNicky Why do you believe that?
@Nintendoh because not many old games live up to today's standards even with remakes/remasters. They might look slightly better but that's about it. I hope I'm wrong but remake/remaster track records aren't great.
I think four there are insta-downloads. I'll need reviews for the rest
From the demo I have a distinct feeling "SD GUNDAM BATTLE ALLIANCE" will be my surprise hit game of august.
Shin-Chan is already pre-loaded, 2-point campus and the TMNT collection are on pre-order. A good month for games I think.
