Re: THQ Nordic Announces Open-World APRG 'Gothic III Classic' For Switch 2

@nhSnork "I could be playing the even older Gothic I right now if I didn't direct the allocatable funds towards higher discounted priorities again while Gothic's own discounted price got eaten by what eShop's bank card lunacy had me overpay for retail gift cards last month. While juggled out of console storage for the time being, I've already played Neverwinter Nights on Switch as well. "Retro" isn't a mere fad word to a millennial gamer who barely engaged with anything beyond Gen 6 until the early (for NDS/PSP) or even late 2010s (for the rest).๐Ÿ˜"

Like for the others: my apology.
Cheers

@The_Blue_Mage "Besides the obvious rage bait you put in this comment and the blatant age-ism, I don't think the publisher would re release these games if there was no money to be made. Also this is a multi-console release which means it will sell at least enough for them"

Yes, thanks. You got me there. I should not comment in a bad mood. You brought it to the point. I was thinking about deleting my comment but thought it would be disrespectful to all the ones that replied.
It was never supposed to be a rage bait, though. If you look up my historic comments, i am not that kind of guy.

Cheers

@marck13 "I very much donโ€™t like agreeing with you however.. I am truly one of those who would love to play this and I can not find the time for it ๐Ÿ˜ข"

Sorry. I had a bad day. I like the original first two games. Didn't even know of the third.

Thanks for your reply and I feel you. Please except my apology for my first statement. I edited it but did not touch the original.
Cheers

@roy130390 "I'm not familiar with these games but aren't they single player? How can it be dead on arrival? Besides there's always people that play them. Those percentages seem arbitrary as there's usually lots of people wanting to replay cherished games and younger generations wanting to play what they consider retro games."

Maybe I used the doa term wrong. I meant to say, that it might be bought but not really be played. Put on the pile of shame.
I edited my first post without touching the original one and I think, you have a point there. I did not want to make people angry.
Cheers

Noone will play this. Some old folks will buy it due to nostalgia. But play them all through? 99% of the elder don't have the time and 100% of the younger are not interested. It's doa.

Edit: I'm sorry for the wording. I would delete my comment, but then all the answers would be for nothing.

I really don't believe the game will be played a lot, though.
Cheers

Edit edit: please scroll down to read the other comments before reacting. This was a foul comment of mine and I got struck by the nicest community there is, already. I love NL and the readers.

Re: Beloved Machine-Building Puzzler 'Opus Magnum' Finally Arrives On Switch

Text is so ridiculous small on oG switch screen. What are they thinking? Why? So often in so many games.... Is it Laziness or do they just don't give a crap? It stinks, I paid for this. Shame on the developers. Sorry: I'm just sooo frustrated. Please make this always a point in your review / preview / Heads-Up, NL.

I bought it due to this article and it is unplayable. Thanks.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda Movie Is Now "In Production" In New Zealand

@Pillowpants "New Zealand, not surprising! I'm really looking forward to this movie, but I'm still surprised they went for live action, instead of animated. I prefer the latter, but I guess I'm just highly sceptical on everything that tries to go from animated to live action."

It could work.... If Dennis Hopper would still be with us, it would be a guaranteed success.
