Re: Poll: Which Is Your Favourite Nintendo 64 Console Variant?

Charcoal. That was mine. On release. Me and my mom went shopping. And there it was: a big pile of (as far as knew) to be sold out consoles. My parents never had deep pockets but she understood straight away: I told her that this system was officially not available in Germany at that time without pre-order and I would pay her back by selling my 3 months old Playstation. And My mom said ok and paid for it.
One of the best days in life. I still remember sitting in the train back to our village feeling, smelling and examining the box of this dear friend to be. I love you, mom

Happy Birthday Nintendolife!! I stumbled across your existence around the release of the switch (I'm from Germany btw.) and am hooked since then. The good articles, the very nice team, very well produced vids (special thanks to Alex) and a splendid community are the reason that I visit you multiple times a day since then! Thank you so much for the hard work and stay as you are! All the best from Germany!

Re: Review: Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit - A Joyful Fusion Of Reality And Fiction

I must say, I suffer from connection issues between Kart and Switch (day-one-version). Even in the same room I get 3 bars tops and never a really stable picture. Is it my console? Or does anybody else have the issue? Thanks for replies!

Edit: in the end it works quiet well (Maybe my first track was just too big and I have thick walls). And it's a lot of fun!! After day one with it, I recommend it πŸ˜€

Re: Talking Point: Can Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit Possibly Be As Good As It Looks?

My personal opinion: I LOVE the idea. But I cannot imagine it's working out. It will get boring after 20 hours in for the most kids, I guess. The freedom in your apartment or in parks etc is limited. I don't know what they will pull off software-wise. But it has to be a lot to keep children playing.

But I still love it.

Edit: what I am looking the most forward to is Alex' review on this. Please penetrate your friends with this and share it with us, mate 😁

Re: Review: A Short Hike - A Landmark Game For All Ages

@Friendly hi, I would call it genre defining. Just played through it and loved it to bits. Will try to convince my wife trying it. She is not a gamer at all. I think, this game has the potential to show her at least what gaming is about in a short time.

For me, BOTW is a perfect LP, this is a perfect track. Since they only ask the price of a single, it's a perfect experience.
I totally back this 10/10.

@fafonio thank you very much for the insight! Back then the far too small onscreen-text annoyed me so much that I rather played Donkey Kong. When I put in the disk a few days away, the text size still annoys... but maybe I should try to handle it. Didn't that annoy you at all? Cheers for the explanation and effort!! Couldn't find anything about the non-online issue on the net. Kudos for you!

Re: Wave of Closures And Possible Development Delays Follow CERO Shutdown In Japan

@GoblinKing86 it's not about dying. It's about hospitals that don't have the capacities to treat people the way they deserve. We are talking about people (like your parents or a friend's parent) lying on their chests half-naked dying alone in the hallway with no chance to say good-bye to their beloved and no chance for the children to get in touch. THAT is the nightmare we are facing. Get it in perspective.

Edit: and we talk about the souls of the clinic personal getting scarves they will never truly recover from.
