There is a difference between hard and tedious which is where my issues have been. I completed the game easily enough as like others I explored while playing through but it’s the post game I’m suffering.
It’s not a good solution when I have to leave the game open and watch Netflix while I wait for a 10 minute in game timer to complete. Can’t do anything else in the game as you have to stay where you are.
In BOTW I could spend an hour grinding the specific material I wanted and then on to the next thing I wanted to do.
Nintendo is doing this more now. I used to love Animal crossing. I’d put it on fish some sharks and have a good chill session. Now it’s all about okay do it for a bit but then you need to go and grind these materials to build a new rod. It makes the game last longer but not as much fun.
@ZealMajin - You realise that the article mentions the glitches being fixed in a previous update and so the comments are relevant. Nintendolife keeps fanning the flames
I’d argue that good glitches keep a game going well past its lifespan. Look at BOTW and Inventory slot transfer. It’s so fun to break the game and it creates a community.
@larryisaman - without saying too much most of the techniques from BOTW got nerfed horrendously e.g. Rupees methods, some materials (now require a 10 minute cool-down).
Those who are enjoying most likely used the dupe glitch to remove the horrendous grind.
I’m not trying to be too negative because I love all Zelda games and I really enjoyed the story elements and the start area (which just became irrelevant later on).
I kept playing because I refused to give up on a Zelda game.
Completed it and don’t feel the need to go back. The grind in this game is terrible. BOTW just felt like a more fun game. The amount of times I’ve felt bored in this game is unreal.
I think the only games Microsoft have made recently that I loved were the Ori. I used to own all 3 consoles but now I can get away with just Nintendo (Zelda, Pokemon) and Sony (last of us, GOW).
It seems Microsoft can’t make quality games anymore. I’m still waiting on my next “Good” Fable, which I guarantee will be exclusive.
Also why is there a 10 year limit on COD for Nintendo?
Using Nintendo’s store would be a terrible idea. I love Nintendo but their online store is terrible when it comes to in demand content. I never want to go through the Tears of the Kingdom collector’s edition pain again.
The beauty of Splatoon is the support it gets as well. They continue to balance and add content to it for years.
Take Harvestella for example. Their attempt at breaking into farming sims. I like it, it’s a good game, but it still feels like it needs a few patches to fix some of its rough around the edges issues but updates stopped ages ago.
Can we not just leave alone for a bit? Nintendo stopped patching BOTW ages ago so we have lots of cool glitches we can still do. We’ll end up with none left if we keep it up.
I don’t think they need a rival right now what they need is a breather. They’ve taken a major step forward. They’ve ventured into open world and now just need to nail a new amazing story and build upon the existing world. Like TOTK feels more like and upgrade to BOTW and is still amazing.
I haven’t played many competitors other than Digimon but key missing elements are no carrying monsters between new games, names of the monsters tend to be poor and I know the names of most of the Pokemon so don’t want to learn loads of new ones for a new franchise
I honestly saw Xenoblade 2 as a Waifu Pokemon game. I don’t need a load of new monsters. Give me 15 or so, objectives to power them up, and some background story to build a connection with the mons and I’d be happy.
@WillQuan Is it necessary to start name calling because people haven’t had the same experience as you.
I’ve had no major issues. Do I get bad frame rates? Yes in 2 areas. The lake and the forest area where there is paint on the trees. It’s been said many times on YouTube that closing out your game after each sessions reduces the number of issues.
I’ve enjoyed my experience mostly. I would have liked some Arecus QOL improvements but it’s been a very good game for me.
Saw it yesterday and booked to watch again on Sunday. Loved the Sonic movies and loved this movie.
I hope that bigwigs observe that these films are successful because of the effort they put into wanting to make a good movie for the fans. Please no more video game adaptions like Assassins creed.
@EriXz - I’d have to agree. I can’t recall any of the freaky glitches I’ve seen elsewhere in my play through. I close out my game after each session so maybe that’s helping.
What bugs me is the raids. I actually think they got worse with the patches. I don’t know if it’s always done this but my health bar disappears regularly during a raid which is a pain when you’re doing 7 star and needing to mange your health effectively.
Also it’s annoying that there is a solution of Pokemon Home to protect our valuable mons we don’t want to loose from something like a corrupt save which is still being held back / updated to work with the new game
Shame no artbook this time. Looks like they've given Game exclusivity again in the uk. My Rune Factory 5 came crushed due to their poor packaging of the product
All I wanted was more info on S/V 1.2 update which is supposed to be here in the next 2 days. The event mons looked good though. Finally some new stuff for the Tera raids.
Still a day 1 purchase for me. Not all of us care about fps. Sounds like it will run twice as well as Pokémon (also a great game regardless of performance)
Another thing that helps is if the ai brings a Pokémon that has intimidate. With the Slowbro setup Cinderace can barely do any damage to you with 3 iron defences In play.
I wouldn’t worry about missing out. They’ll recycle events at some point or make things available in paid dlc like they did with Sw/Sh. Look how easy it was to get the special gmax Pokémon with the dlc.
Thing is the thing I like least about the game is Sonic’s voice, it’s way too deep. The game itself is really good. Best Sonic game I’ve played since adventures

The game works just because it’s Pokémon with a huge fanbase and practical use outside of the go app when used with the mainline series.

@ZeldaNX sames. Usually I’m excited for Pokemon but I’ve not even bothered to renew home to transfer over Violet mons.

Switchup saying the same kind of thing. Gutted as was looking forward to this game.

I fear this is going to be exactly Genshin. A unique experience makes me think f2p. Hope I’m wrong

For me poor frame rates in S&V are wayyyyyyy better than what I can only assume was 2 fps in the abandoned factory in Xenoblade 2.

Glad to see the Tera raids getting some love. The amount of times I’ve thought I won for health to get added again and I loose.
Shiny sparkle would be nice. It’s so rewarding in Arceus when you get the sparkle and sound effect.

Re: Monolith Soft Celebrates Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Fifth Anniversary With Special Artwork
First game to make me cry since FF7. I got bored early game but persisted and wow does the story and gameplay really take off
Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Are Getting A Day One Update
Ideally you’d like to wait till the game gets some polish but I believe there are some event raids being made available soon.
Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Are Getting A Day One Update
From what I have seen performance is terrible. There was a scene of kids sat swinging their legs and each leg stuttered.
Another example is walking down the street I would say they only walk smooth up to 15ft in game.
I’ve only seen worse performance in a battle in xenoblade 2 which dropped to maybe 3 fps
Usually I don’t care about fps but this is so obvious it becomes a distraction.
I have seen some positives in it though for other aspects so still looking forward to its release

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Sonic Frontiers?
The fact you’ve created this poll you realise now that your score was way off base and the people are correcting it for you
Re: Review: Sonic Frontiers - A Bold But Ultimately Failed Attempt At Something New
Think the reviewer was a bit harsh. Does it run as good as a home base console with better specs? No.
Can I play Sonic Frontiers on my PS5 while on the train to work? No
Only seen minor issues in my play through so far and like mentioned earlier it’s usually user error for me like tapping the wrong button for homing
Re: Sonic VA Roger Craig Smith Thanks Fans For Supporting Sonic Frontiers
Thing is the thing I like least about the game is Sonic’s voice, it’s way too deep. The game itself is really good. Best Sonic game I’ve played since adventures
Re: Nintendo Says It Won't Raise Switch Prices, But Will Continue To Monitor The Situation
Makes no sense releasing a new model. I’ve only just managed to get a PS5 thanks to Scalpers. Too much chaos at the mo to sort the supply chain.
Re: Review: Harvestella - A Promising Genre Hybrid That Needs Some Watering
I’m enjoying this more than Rune Factory 5. I feel like it’s farming is just right.
Voice acting. Okay so what happens when they add it and you all complain like with Rex in XB2. At least without I can choose how I want them to sound.
Not had performance issue yet and I’m about 15 hours in now.
The demo was a bit pants and they have fixed some issues like the fishing.
My only complaint is the customisation at the start. They both look the same except for the legs.
I’ll be playing this for a while now
Re: Switch Sales Have Only Now Surpassed The Xbox One In The UK
Uk based and lost interest in Xbox when Fable disappeared. Always own each Nintendo and Sony console though for the exclusives.
Re: Hands On: Pokémon Scarlet & Violet's Performance Distracts From Neat New Features And Flourishes
