@N00BiSH I said 2 was more linear than 1, not that 1 was as linear as the previous two games.

The main point is that Galaxy 2 is received more favorably because it offered entirely new content rather than remixing previous content. Closer parallel to TOTK would be new super Luigi Bros U.

@N00BiSH you say that, but one sequel offers entirely new content as well as a different approach to the overall level design emphasizing challenging platforming over exploration.

Galaxy 2 is closer to Majoras Mask than TOTK.

@N00BiSH Galaxy 2 has all new levels which sets it apart.

TOTKs problem was reusing the same world map with minor changes.

They would be closer if Galaxy 2's hub was the Observatory, and the majority of the levels were just slight remixes of all of Galaxy 1's levels.

I think people are being too harsh. I don't mind that they want to add some variety, I mean a few months ago the complaints were about how the game looks too similar to Prime 1.

From the majority of the gameplay we've seen, it still looks like the core Prime experience and not another Ubisoft esque open world. So I really don't see a reason to worry, but then again some people act like the EMMI sections ruin Dread even though for me they had very little impact on the overall experience.

@USWITCH64 people who unironically think this game will bury MK World are in for a rude awakening.

@ShadLink anytime I played a Sonic racing game, I thought it was just okay at best. It just made me want to play Mario Kart instead.

Way overpriced for some upscaled ports. These should have been remade on the level of Spyro and Crash's remakes. Or at the very least just sell them for half the cost.

What makes it more annoying was how the Wii U shop version went for like 15 bucks each, and you can still find physical copies of each game for about the same price on ebay or your local retro game store.

Not that great tbh. Only thing I'm really happy about is Metroid finally getting a date. Pretty underwhelming for the first direct after the Switch 2 launched.

Played it on PC and it was mid. Its laughable that some people think this will overthrow Mario Kart.

Compared to how dull the 3DS and Wii U launches were, I think having Mario Kart and Donkey Kong within the first month is pretty good, both games combined have given me nearly 100 hours worth of fun and I'm still not done with them.

@BTB20 Yeah, but Batman usually looked more mature even in his origin stories like Arkham Origin or Batman Year One.

@Dee123 reminds me of Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, just way too young looking for the role even if it is an origin story.

I also started Metal Gear Delta on PC. It's better than what I expected to be a simple graphical update.

Gonna give it a second chance with this version. I tried to like the original but the levels were too big and boring and I quit at the casino one.

Nintendo ultimately wins because of their games. Making a more expensive switch clone offering what you could already play on PS5 or PC is just pointless.

@Pillowpants it also comes down to demographics. Sony fans are generally not the type to care about handheld gaming as much, which was why the Vita was abandoned by Sony.

@Nintendo4Sonic I just play it in short bursts in the mornings before work. I think I'm past the halfway point so I'll see it through the end, but I don't think I'll replay it after beating it for a while.

@SirLink ehh I think people really underestimate the gaming skills of children past the age of 4. I had no problem beating the DKC trilogy as well as DK64 as a kid, in fact I used to like harder games back then because they lasted longer.

Kids today also play stuff like Fortnite or Call Of Duty, and I think multiplayer games have a higher skill ceiling than single player platformers.

@Nintendo4Sonic Yeah I feel like it has the same problem I had with Odyssey. Too easy and too much quantity over quality in terms of the collectables.

I also feel the same about the lack of a DK feeling, it feels more like DK inside of another game.

@gcunit dread was full price, and there was a coordinated attack on it being a "scam" from various outlets, some even going as far as advocating piracy. Yet it went on to being the best selling in the series.

I wasn't feeling the demo, I felt like it had too much of a souls like influence compared to the simplicity of the originals. I'd also rather play as Ryu instead of some poser with bad 80s hair.
