Welp, Sony did handle this way better and we called them greedy...all the games that had native PS5 versions offered free upgrades to native Ps5 versions for the first couple of years in exchange of what they are offering (better fps/resolution)

It’s difficult but Sony was definitely one of the key elements that forced Nintendo out of the home console business and when all the goty nominees are being playable on PS5…they might have a shot of doing something interesting. Can’t see Microsoft doing it but anything is possible!

Bayonetta 1 and 2 are excellent, and while I found 3 a pretty weak addition to the story and lore, it was still a great action game. Hopefully a sequel is coming, unrestrained by hardware limitations and with a less troubled development

One of the weakest, hollower RPGs I have ever played tbh. Bland characters, atrocious combat systems. They can keep this remaster… hope we get actually cool

@Serpenterror @Toastmaster Sony surely didn’t conjure up this release in one month to recoup any lost founds, that would be a pretty great feat 😂 this is probably meant to be a gateway title for the Horizon series.

After getting used to current gen systems the only thing that really kills my hype is the performance. It seems really sluggish, I hope it was the video. The gameplay looks cool.

I am surprised by all the negative comments about OT: I must say that I enjoyed Octopath much more than Dragon Quest XI, with its basic vanilla combat system and hideous music. When DQXI releases on Switch you will see.

@JaxonH I was just talking about the character design. The last 3 JRPGS I played are FFXV, Nier Automata and Persona 5...they all have a much more distinctive personality when it comes to characters.

The environments do look very pretty and inspired though, I hope I can make it past my dislike for the characters ...I generally don't like extremely anime character design (such as Tales of or Kingdom Hearts etc.)

PR disaster...the game doesn't seem bad tbh. Bring it to the Switch.

Metroid is fiiiine. It has never been that popular in Japan and 3DS is not that hot anymore.

I loved it. It's the best modern FF in my opinion and I would definitely play it again on Switch. The 4 bros are very endearing ...made me realise how bland the cast of the (very good) ff12 was.

the US version is an eyesore...but it did run the games better back in the days. I am glad they keep it that way for the nostalgia factor but I always found the JP/Pal version way more stylish.

It' s alright! I'll take 60fps over high res in this kind of game...but I do think they will bump up the resolution because it's not open world and they can optimise a lot.

@Nico07 this. Also BotW is huge and open world...Splatoon 2 is set in enclosed areas and is not that taxing for the GPU to begin with.

plot twist: Konami is really Shinra from FF7.

Xbox one X is a threat to absolutely no one - it's expensive and has access to a library of games you can find on the direct competitor and on PC. And if you care THAT much about raw power and specs than you are probably playing on PC anyway...especially when all the Xbox key titles are released foe Windows 10 as well.

It was a solid presentation but it felt very low-key. Nintendo just name dropping that titles are in development? The Pokemon game "announcement" actually made me chuckle...I fully expect the Pokemon team to be working on a Pokemon game for Nintendo's latest hardware. And no Virtual Console talk?

The worst for me is that the majority of third party titles shown these days are clearly not coming to the Switch...it is really being treated as portable by all except Nintendo - it is a console to have if you also have another one or a good gaming PC.

It looks very good ! We might get 2 good sonic games in one year, we are all Doomed.

Can we really say that Sony money-hatted Capcom? I mean the series was born on PlayStation and made popular by the PSP ... Just worried it will affect the Switch sales in Japan but it makes sense for Capcom If the want to make MH more popular in the West.
