These are all nice little things that usually companies offer for free in post launch updates... I will wait for the new story content before deciding.

Game-wise this is the best and most accessible entry in the series, don't be afraid newcomers!

I was there ! We couldn't get a table but the shop section is very cool...lot of audio cds and gadjets. Very FFXV themed at the moment but all brands are present.

A 10/10 review of an enhanced port we all played and without even testing Internet multiplayer properly is not what I expect from Nintendo Life.

I am very surprised by the BIG difference between switch sales and breath of the wild sales. What are they playing? A lot of promising things are on the way but right now that's the only real console seller.

This is a really early (launch!) game and probably straight ps3 port so it doesn't mean that much at all, that said I love all the "alternative facts" people are providing just under a video that totally shows the opposite of what they are stating. No wonder a certain person got elected - I obviously mean Eric Garcetti

Wow this AND Sonic Mania this year, it's like Christmas! Definitely a very good fit for the Switch too.

@Simbabbad what do you mean exactly, UK surely factors in but the region has never been THAT receptive of Nintendo's flagship consoles.

@Anti-Matter I like both realistic and more stylized approach to graphics as long as it is driven by a coherent art design, but mine but wasn't much of a comment on the game itself, just about the sales. I mean there are western games I wouldn't touch with a bat that sell incredibly well

Zelda numbers make you realise how blind people were to diss those 700k FFXV sales but I think Breath of the wild will have a healthy, long life on the charts

I played this on ps4, I'd say add 1 to the score if you know you like this kind of game from the 16 and 32 bit era.
I was also surprised by the extreme coherence of the story - it's very restrained and well told. Your actual best second choice after Zelda.

C'mon guys this is a rip off. Game is fun (always has been) but not for that price...if this is an 8 then I guess Ultra Street Fighter 2 is a 10 and 1/2? Pure fun, no frills just like the SNES days and arguably one of the best fighting games ever...

Sounds weird but it's true, YouTube is full of stuff trying to trigger this kind of physical response.

That click sound is totally a potential ASMR trigger.

Wow, now the launch feels definitely rushed to generate some income before the end of the fiscal year. Nothing is ready! The flagship title was basically stolen from the Wiiu and there's nothing else. Will happily wait.

So with the Switch I will stick to physical unless not available. Basically I have to provide storage for downloads and can't share digital purchase with family / significant other.

@ThatNyteDaez A lot of other companies allow to redownload digital purchases on a limited number of systems (like Google, Sony, Apple and so on) linked to the same account and manage to be financially more successful than Nintendo. We still don't know the details and it could be better thab it sounds but from a customer point of view I am disappointed.

Disappointing/greedy

For anybody on the fence ...I am Setsuna is good, go fo it. Derivative maybe, but very well done.
It's understated and very coherent, two qualities that are rarely associated with jrpgs - and for that it resonated even more with me. Characters are also very relatable and easy to empathise with, safe the main hero maybe.

Basically Chrono Trigger gameplay with FFX's story (well Grandia 2's, am I rite?)

I won't double dip but found this one to be the best in the series gameplay-wise. It's also insanely packed with content and with this edition including all the previous DLC I can imagine folks spending 300-400 hours with the title.

@CharlieSmile This mode looks like trash but tbh Capcom lets you unlock characters and stuff with game credit in SFV, it's a bold move not many companies even bother to try.

Nintendo, give me Phantasy Star Online episode I & II and III playable on the Switch at home and on the go and I won't ever even look at other consoles. I won't have time.

Just work on your timing guys...can you wait until 2-3 weeks after launch and say something like "yadda yadda it's wonderful that the game has been so well received, we are proud to announce that we are still at work and there is more coming yadda yadda". Same goes for the FFXV team. Take the best from Western game developers not everything XD

This was actually a surprisingly good game, it's a pity it isn't coming. Would re-buy a portable FFXV (maybe complete edition or something?)in a heartbeat.

I hope KH3, being developed with UE4 and all, makes it to the Switch - that series is a perfect fit for Nintendo's audience and I would love to see a KH with Nintendo characters instead of Disney's.

On chapter 8 now, it's very shallow but pretty addicting.

if your kid needs the software to shut down in order to limit his playtime, you have a serious problem...this video is excellent though, it oozes charm and charisma. It would have been nice if they did the whole presentation this way.
