Re: Back Page: Guessing The Next Zelda Title Using Industry Trends

The Legend Of Zelda: Modern Dwarf Air 🤓

The Legend Of Zelda: Tomb's Day
(geddit, because Doom's Day but they're searching for a tomb)

The Legend Of Zelda: Return To Calamity
(They seem to have a thing for this word lately, so why not)

Or, The Legend Of Zelda: Hyrule Rising
(geddit, because we see Hyrule literally rising in the trailer)

Yup, definitely one of those. My vote is for Modern Dwarf Air.

JSR's music was phenomenal, so the fact they managed to get the same composer onboard already has me intrigued. Based on the trailer, it looks like they're expanding on the grinding aspect, and nice to see the graffiti mechanics now appear more intricate than a few circles with the analog stick. Keeping an eye on this one; it certainly has promise.

Re: Talking Point: An Extraordinary Year For Gaming Certainly Didn’t Come Easy

Console gaming has been in a bit of a lull, but VR has made great strides in 2020. Dash Dash World is like Mario Kart in VR, and actually good! Population One is a battle Royale, but you can climb and glide across the whole map..all in VR - there's nothing else like it. The medium is still in its infancy, which is rather exciting considering the experiences we have already. The only downside is that Facebook is responsible for most of the growth, but if that's what it takes to get more competitors in the VR field (hello, Nintendo? A bit more than Labo please). VR is only going to get better from here, while console gaming has kind of reached its peak in "wow" factor.

Re: Feature: Subnautica Switch Dev - "It Wasn’t Always Our Intention To Release Them Together"

Subnautica is an incredible game, one of my top 5 of the last 20 years. Seeing how far the devs have come from the early, early access days has been quite admirable. From an underwater sandbox to a fully realized story, what a trip it's been.

I'll gladly triple dip as long as the ports turn out alright. Seems like I've been waiting forever for Below Zero. Glad it's finally around the corner!

This demo was bad. The mechanics are fundamentally broken. Jumping feels off, there's no weight to the character, there's seemingly no point to what you're doing, the QTE's didn't add anything - and seriously, I thought we were done with QTEs? Who ever thought they were a good idea? - the different abilities is an interesting concept, but executed so poorly... If one of your abilities is lost, and you need it, what then? Backtrack all over the place to find a crystal that HOPEFULLY is holding the one you need at that time? They seem to show up randomly in the crystals, so you could potentially keep getting ones you can't use. What a mess of a game, and this was supposed to be a spiritual successor to Nights? Maybe stick to the 2D plane, Mr. Naka.

Re: Worms Rumble Is Bringing Its Arena-Based Mayhem To Switch

This game was SO ADDICTING the first month it was on PSN. Now though, it's impossible to get a match going. They seriously need to consider going free to play for this type of game, or add in a single player mode/campaign. Until that happens, I'll stick with the PSN copy in hopes it's crossplay with the Switch release's surge.

Re: Interview: "There Would Be No Control On Switch Without The Cloud," Says Remedy

I struggle already with storage space on my PS4, and I have to somehow make room yet again once Cyberpunk 2077 comes out. I'm intrigued by this game, but there's no chance it will fit on my ps4. I'll get the cloud demo on Switch just to see how well streamed games work with my internet connection. If the performance is up to snuff, I may bite on a future game or sale, and if I enjoy the demo itself, I may spring for it on a next-gen console.

Outright denying a method to bring a game to the consumer is lunacy. Not every game has to be for you. Options are good! You don't like it? Keep scrolling. There are PLENTY of gaming choices on Switch. I don't understand this obsession with owning games. You pay admission to events and theater films. Do you own those? How many games do you honestly own and come back to years down the pike other than the true classics? Who has all that time??

The only thing I see wrong with this cloud version is the price. Make it half the retail price of a $60 game at least. But again, that's why there's a demo. You can't put a price on something you truly enjoy. If you have a personal limit, wait for a sale. Problem solved.

Mini Motor X Racing looks wonderful! Finally a top down racer that ALSO allows the option for first person and behind the car?? WITH vehicle combat?? Yes please!

Gibbous looks delightful, as well as quite a few others here. So many potential gems!

Everyone complaining about indies needs to get their heads out of their butts and open their minds. Most AAA is absolute trash these days. Get with the program. You're missing out on some of the best gaming experiences in the last decade at least!

Re: Pikmin 3 Deluxe: 19 Glorious Screenshots, Box Art, File Size And More Details

@Electric-Dreams lol loyalty? They're a company. The Wii U was a disaster. I had one, it had some wonderful games, and it sold the worst of all Nintendo consoles. Move on.
If you already have the game, it's not for you (or me). It's for the millions of Switch owners who never had a Wii U and/or never had a chance to play Pikmin 3.
My only hope is they adopted the cursor control ala World Of Goo Switch Edition to make up for no Wiimote/nunchuck option, because that is the best way to experience Pikmin.
