Re: Talking Point: Metroid Prime 4 And The Burden Of Being 'Good Enough'

oceano

I've looked forward to this for ages. Even after the initial negativity before launch, I was still hyped up. I played it day one and gave it a fair chance, but after playing through it I decided I'll never replay this. It was truly a disappointment. Other than the appearance, it didn't feel like a Metroid. It felt like Other M in first person except for a less engaging narrative. One of my biggest gripes is the linear layout of levels. Not much Metroidvania at all in this.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Metroid Prime 4: Beyond?

I've just been given access to the open world desert, so I'm can't judge the entire game yet. That being said, the game so far has been very linear and boring compared to the earlier games. I so badly want this to be good, so I'm hoping it livens up as I progress further. Myles hasn't been as annoying as I expected, but I don't need the handholding. I'll figure it out.

Re: Metroid Dread Tops Amazon's "Best Sellers" Chart

With the popularity of the Switch, this is a great time to boost Metroid exposure. This game will hopefully do well, and set up Prime 4 to do even better. When I've seen the sales numbers of previous Metroid titles, It's surprising Nintendo has given Metroid any attention at all really, but I feel a change coming.

Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Pro "Will Have Exclusives", Says Insider

We already had a Switch revision, and wasn't anything too drastic other than focusing on battery life. People need to get this "Pro" naming convention out of their heads and realize if there is a new Switch, it's going to be a minor revision that still plays all games. If there is any amount of power increase it won't be drastic. And why would 3rd parties focus on a new version only that's going to have a much smaller install base?

Re: There Are "No Plans" To Bring The Full Pokédex To Pokémon Sword And Shield, And Future Games Will Follow Suit

@Chibi_Manny I'm with ya. What other game has sooo many characters? None are even close that I know of. Each individual one takes time to draw/animate/code etc... that's an enormous expectation people. Remember how 1st party Nintendo games development slowed down when they made the jump to HD? We're in a transition stage right now with Pokemon. Give the poor developers a break.

Re: Nintendo Switch Lite Is Getting A Special Pokémon Sword And Shield Edition

Wow guys, all I'm hearing is you're content with the existing Switch. 🤔 Then don't buy the Lite, it's not meant for you. I personally think this is a great idea, it'll be easier to transport around than the full size unit. Plus I can afford to get a 2nd Switch so I actually get a turn to play (my kids are on it constantly). I doubt I'd buy a 2nd full size Switch. The Lite serves a purpose for some of us.

Re: Video: Discover More About The Elder Scrolls: Blades

@Einherjar Couldn't agree with you more. I was a beta tester for the game, and even dropped a bit of money into it at first. It quickly gets stale and grindy, and you can't just play without getting stuck waiting on timers for chests, weapon/armor crafting, enchanting, building construction etc. It'd such an out right money grab that it's ridiculous. Shame, could've been a cool game.

Re: Asphalt 9: Legends Speeds Onto Switch This Summer For Free

I've played it on mobile for quite a while. It's pretty fun, but it gets to the point where there's no way to complete some of the challenges fast enough unless you dump alot of money. It is free, but it gets pretty grindy unless you're willing to spend. Just like most mobile games I guess.
