Yes. http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/38854/t1614675-how-many-hours-have-you-played-honest/2.htm (CONTENT WARNING: Link may or may not contain NSFW language; I didn't check the topic beyond the numbers)

As Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate has quite a bit more content and significantly more variety than Freedom Unite, I can easily see some putting thousands (plural) of hours into 4U eventually. My brother already has 500+ hours in 4U.

I still highly recommend an N3DS for Monster Hunter enthusiasts. As far as controls go, the C-stick is very useful, and having ZR be lock-on and ZL open chat means less messing with the touch screen. For graphical improvements in 4U, the textures and framerate are so much better it's not funny. It goes from sub-20 FPS with muddy textures to ~45 FPS with sharp textures in multiplayer.

For a game that people play for literally hundreds or even thousands of hours, I don't think getting the best experience for merely $200 (even less if you trade in/sell your old one) is a bad investment.

I've been using Humble Bundle for quite a while now (at least since July of last year), and there have always been some games that require DRM. Usually it's Steam. It hasn't been solely DRM-Free for quite a while now.

If you actually care about DRM and are not just salty about Nintendo of [Your Region] not approving the bundle for your region, you can go to GOG.com - but don't expect to find all the games they have on the Humble Bundle.

I was referring to this incident in specific. How does this one company that accumulated debt while pulling a profit from games, whose CEO vanished for no good reason, that is very likely loanshark/Yakuza-related, mean that this will be a trend for Japanese games?

If you wanted to say that Japanese game sales are on a decline while mentioning, say, Puzzle & Dragons' or KanColle's sales, I would totally agree with you.

I played 300+ hours of MH3U with 3D on. It actually physically hurts my eyes to play in 2D after being so used to the 3D. I also recently got a Cyber Gadget Old 3DSXL grip for the same reason, and I'm loving it. Nice and big, and makes it feel like a GC controller.

Absolutely.
Combat in Monster Hunter is a lot more involved, but you'll enjoy the pace of battle a lot more at the beginning than someone who just went in blind. Rolls in Monster Hunter have a lot less i-frames than in Dark Souls, though.

Deleting a game to make room is not comparable to putting a cartridge back in the box, on a shelf.
It's more like completely wiping the cartridge data, putting it back in the box, then renting a storage unit 15-60 minutes away from your home and putting all your games with no save data there.

There are several games on the eShop that are multiple GB in size. Getting Resident Evil: Revelations digitally means you will barely be able to fit one more game - if that - on the stock 4GB microSD.
