Re: Feature: Musical Memories and Cosplay at The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses

mateq

Can't say how was the one in Glasgow, but when I went a year ago to the one held at London, I was EXTREMELY disappointed, to say the least. Not with the music - the music was wonderful, orchestra did splendid job, sound was perfect and the projections were enjoyable. The people however, behaved like an uncivilized crowd who had never been to an orchestra or any more-official event before. There was shouting every 10sec of WHILE orchestra was playing music, so one couldn't enjoy the concert in peace. Really, clap and shout after the performance, after the song, not during ffs. People all over the audience were eating McDonalds and the employees of a venue were selling popcorn, ice-cream and beer. Overall, while the music was amazing, the whole experience was simply terrible. I thought Zelda fans would be more civilized and educated, but it turned out they are just a bunch of annoying kids :/

Sorry about slightly offensive comment, I'm still disappointed the crowd ruined my experience - I'll probably never again go to a video game concert because of that. Will just stick with opera or classical music concerts

Re: Video: New Metroid Prime: Federation Force Trailer Arrives, and It's Still Fighting Dislikes

mateq

I really don't understand all the hate. People get a completely new genre not available for the console and complain? The only other shooter available is Ironfall (which personally isn't to my taste), so I am super happy about the game. Right, it isn't Metroid, but it is still related. Maybe it's a prequel to the proper Samus game being in development right now?
I'll definitely give the game a try!

Re: Inti Creates CEO Takuya Aizu Really Doesn't Like The New Mighty No. 9 Trailer

mateq

I've never heard about Mighty No. 9 before, but the trailer looked really good, I don't understand all the comments against it? Especially the jokes, kind of like back to 80s where all the trailers looked like that. Stop the butt hurt anime people, should the whole Germany be insulted with Kung Fury? Of course not, it's just a joke so chill up!

Re: Study Suggests Rising Smartphone Ownership Among Kids Is Hitting Nintendo Hard

Wait, 24% is a highly competitive market is an extremely good number! It's not a golden era like in times of Gameboy anymore, but keep in mind electronic devices are cheaper and more products are available for consumers to choose from, making 24% a really, really good amount of market share. Plus smartphones have multiple functionality, of course every kid gonna have one, if not for gaming then for contacting parents.

Re: Video: Re-Live your School Years with these Five Nintendo Lies We All Believed

Mew under the truck? For me it was the lie, that you get a mew only when you collect all other 150 pokemons and fill your pokedex fully. But honestly, I spent more time trying to get Celebi in Gold in that forest! I know you actually could get it using a special-codes (available only in Japan?) but there still were plenty of rumours on how to get it other way... oh childhood

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses Tour Adds Extra Dates in the UK

mateq

Ok ok, I'll be honest. I did go to see the symphony in London last year and was really EXTREMELY looking forward to it. However my experience was really disappointing. I love Zelda music and one would expect, going to see Zelda Orchestra would be on the same level as seeing any other orchestra. But the fans ruin it. I realized that most Zelda fans can't behave during the performance - everyone was clapping like crazy, shouting, whistling , talking and taking pictures. Not to mention, the guy sitting next to me was eating a freaking McDonalds in the middle of a performance! If you want to be loud go see a metal or rock gig and dance pogo in front of a stage.

But it was not fully fans fault - Wembley Arena was selling beer, ice-cream and even popcorn. For f* sake, orchestra is not your average cinema. If you go to see a live performance at least learn how to behave.

Don't get me wrong - music was AMAZING. The sound, the arrangements, the orchestra and all the instruments, the vocal and the choir - out of this planet. But it's the people at the audience who ruined the whole experience. I couldn't enjoy a single song cause every 10 sec someone started clapping >_<
slightly drunk here, but truth will stay the truth, most Zelda fans cannot behave, I hope they never go to opera, ballet or theatre performances

Re: Rumour: More Sources Highlight NX Controller 'Gimmick' and a Major Game Project

mateq

Well, if Nintendo shoots satelites in the air to which we can connect our NX controllers free of charge and play on the go I'm sold. Otherwise I'm not looking forward to pay for mobile data to stream games - that would be expensive. And not every place has a wifi. I usually play 3ds during the long vehicle-travel periods - would be able to connect the apparent portable NX to play for free in places like this. Well, let's wait and see

Re: Feature: What We Expect from Nintendo Direct - 3rd March

mateq

I don't understand why you guys are saying there will be no mobile coverage? With Miitomo along with new Nintendo Account realising in around 2 weeks, it is a worth to bet that Nintendo would use direct to give us more information about those. Their first proper mobile game was also supposed to release in March. We have March now and no info at all - Nintendo direct is a perfect oportunity to introduce it, timing is also almost perfect. I'm not expecting NX, but some more info about mobile games is a safe bet

Re: Black Friday Sales Bring Little Joy for Nintendo in the UK

mateq

Not a surprise to be honest, there was literally lack of good deals on Wii U everywhere. Was waiting for an offer sub-200 for the Mario Kari 8/Splatoon bundle and that (considering the Wii U popularity and rumors of NX coming next year) would still be relatively expensive.

Sony was losing money on each PS4 system sold when it went on sale, hoping the software would boost the proft - and that's exactly what Nintendo should do now, especially since they have enough software on the market already released to gain profit (although I doubt they would still be losing money even if they dropped the price of Wii U premium to ~170...)

Re: Guide: The Best Black Friday Nintendo Deals in the UK

mateq

it's crazy how expensive the Wii U system is, especially with the NX on te horizon you would have thought they would cut the price at least to around 150 for premium system with Smash Bros or Mario Kart, especially on Black Friday. You can get PS4 or XBox One for cheaper than Wii U today

Re: Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions Headed To The UK In December

mateq

As much as I would love to go. after seeing Symphony of Goddesses in April in London, I know I'll skip this one. Unfortunately Nintendo fans cannot behave during orchestra concerts, and keep shouting every 15-20sec during the performance, not to mention eating mc donalds, drinking beer and overall acting uncivilized. Shame, really
