I'm very impressed Switch survived all these drops and was still fully functional! Console throwing apart, background music made this video VERY hard to watch...
What a surprise! Zelda is literally the only available physical game worth owning for Switch right now, so obviously everyone who bought Switch would get Zelda with it - due to the very limited choice. Even e-shop is lacking good (new) games.
@Dakt well, in Spirit Tracks Zelda is Tetra's descendant, so no surprise she was cool (I remembered incorrectly that we had Tetra instead of Zelda in Windwaker and both DS games...)
On the side note, (spoiler!) I kind of wish Zelda was an old woman when she's finally free. I mean come on, 100 years has passed, how come she's still bloody 17 ?! That would certainly be an interesting twist on the ending!
@RazorThin This. Not implementing Gerudo Theme in the game should be considered a sin! I really was expecting to hear my favourite tune as I was walking towards the desert
I'm sad the soundtrack for Breath of the Wild is so... limited and weird? I'm a huge fan of music in all Zelda games but the only themes that I actually liked were in Hyrule Castle, Rito Village and maybe when you solve the Divine Beast. The music when you ride horse is super annoying, wish they'd go with classic Zelda theme instead
I'd love DS3 on Switch, or the whole trilogy (wishful thinking), but best option would be souls-like exclusive. Bloodborne on PS4 was amazingly good, something similar and exclusive on Switch would be dream come true and definitely some consoles would get sold just for that game.
I would love Professor Layton on Switch, or even the Lady Layton to come out in the West on 3ds as soon as possible! My favourite game series, even new Zelda cannot match the quality of Layton games (I'm probably gonna get lynched for that statement haha).
@Switch81tch Fair, but first of all, why would I watch stuff on my laptop, if my TV is bigger? Second, I partially agree, I could get a HDMI adaptor, but I can imagine myself looking for videos I want to watch in handheld mode using the touch screen and then just switch to TV mode. I'm not saying it's necessary, however it would certainly be a great feature.
And honestly, your reasons for NOT wanting a browser on Switch are rather weak as well
@Switch81tch Not quite. I use browse the internet mostly on my laptop, but my small TV has only one HDMI port so when I want to watch something I need to change between Switch and laptop, which is kinda annoying. With browser available on Switch that would make life much easier.
Color change is great, however I liked the old design better. But I suppose it's only due to the sudden change, so I suppose I'll get used it to very soon and like it more and more Congrats!
@Koudai1979 I've just rewatched majority of the trailers and the only places you can see are classics like Hyrule castle, Kalikori and Gerudo village. I suppose we can expect Zora's Domain and Goron City but that's what we also have in a small Hyrule of Ocarina of Time. For a big map like Breath of the Wild (apparently bigger than Skyrim) I'm expecting at least 1 huge castle (Hyrule castle), 10 big cities and around 30-40 small villages on top of dungeons and various ruins. But so far from those gameplays I've watched the world looks really empty, or rather only populated by bokoglin outposts, hence my question. I'm sure I'll still enjoy the game and can't wait till March 3rd to see for myself how the world really looks like, but it would be great to know beforehand
Are there any cities, villages or anything in the game? With such a huge world I should assume so, but so far from all the trailers/previews I haven't seen anything where you can hmm, dunno, stay in the tavern, talk with locals, get side-quests etc. (something like Skyrim). Based on everything I've watched and read so far, the whole Hyrule seem rather empty, with the exception for goblin posts everywhere, a couple of dungeons and a tons of open world puzzles. So, my question: is Hyrule empty or not? Is there enough to explore which isn't just land or ruins? Are there villages you can fast travel to? Thanks
@mateq I should have checked first before posting Yeah we do know the prices for anyone interested, but too lazy to check: Specter of Torment $9.99 and Treasure Trove $24.99. Yeah, I might double dip if playing Zelda all the time will get too boring (which I highly doubt!)
Played through Shovel Knight on 3ds and loved it, might double dip with all the expansion on Switch, depending on the price (we do know it?) Not really interested in FAST RMX, not my kind of a game, but I can see the potential
I was very afraid of clicking the link or watching the ad, but then I thought - whatever, there's is way they would put a big spoiler in a TV ad, right? Aaaand, I was right. I really don't see how this is a spoiler? It's just a dragon. Could be a boss, as there are always weird or crazy boss designs, could be a ridable companion, or friend. Hyrule was sure to see a dragon sooner or later so no surprises here
@danielman9 I really don't care about battery life to be honest, I don't mind having my controller plugged in when I play. I was talking about the overall design - PS4 controller is beautiful and elegant. Maybe Switch controller is cool with HD ramble and all the other bonus features, bur it looks a lot like xbox one controller - both are just ugly.
@danielman9 What are you talking about? PS4 controller is the most beautifully designed controller in this whole gen! I love it's look and feel + I'm a big fun of D-pad being on the same level as action buttons and analog on the same level as another analog...
I ordered Bayonetta II with them and received the game 2 days before release without any problems. So my experience with GameSeek is rather good. But I love Amazon for its customer service and warranty. If something happens to the console Amazon would offer you refund no questions asked, I bet with GameSeek it's different, but hey £200 for Switch is an amazing price! If I manage to catch stock I'll definitely preorder
Same as many here, I think Nintendo should focus on hybrid devices. To be honest, I see Switch as more of a portable console with bonus that you can plug it into your TV and play on a big screen. I'm sure I'm not alone in this perception of Switch and honestly, I am surprised Nintendo keeps telling us it's the other way round. Especially since on most of the ads released so far, majority of screenplay goes to Switch as portable, not home console.
So, there we go. I think Nintendo should focus on Switch and mobile and drop any plans to make a new console. Upgrade to a Switch in a year or two - yes. New separate console - not so much.
I guess gorilla game is about peeling a joy-con and eating it pretending it's a banana... or hitting your chest repeatedly. Honestly, after seeing "Baby", I don't think Nintendo can surprise me anymore
Hm, any tips on how to get those feathers? I have my Nintendo account linked both the the game and to twitter. Retweeted around 2h ago but still no signs of feathers in-game... Am I doing something wrong?
@rjejr I've finished the whole story without spending a dime and now playing it again on hard mode. It's totally doable, so don't worry if you just want to play around
I love the game. Of course it's not as good as the main series, but it's very enjoyable and you can get plenty of orb without paying a dime. I summoned all the characters from one summoning circle 3 times and still have over 50 orbs right now. Also it seems the content will be added in the nearby future as the story line is not finished. I mean, I can't judge as I've never played any other mobile phone game so I can't compare Fire Emblem to other ones, but I find Fire Emblem being a lot of fun
if a single person or 2 people group could make very similar game in a week, that's even more of a reason why 1-2 Switch should have been bundled with the console.... For other mini-games they probably reuse the code anyway, just change a couple of variables for different controller motion
Amazing, got addicted to the first Isaac when it came out, haven't played Rebirth yet so I'm really looking forward to it. Maybe that will convince me to get Switch on a launch date, just Zelda is not enough
I wasn't really looking forward to the mobile game, but after watching the direct my body is more than ready. The game looks super fun, nicely polished, the graphics are cute and the Heroes idea seems great. Will definitely give it a shot! If it's as good as all the other Fire Emblem games it will definitely be a huge hit on mobile devices.
No clue what's the deal with that Pitchfork guy and Nintendo is, but I would love to play Borderlands on Switch. Hopefully one of the parties will wake up in time to revive the talks before the release
@2CUTE4YOU I've only had one direct experience with Nintendo customer service, and that was enough to put me off probably for a very long time. Long story short: my Wii U gamepad stopped working all of the sudden (I always take care of all my electronics, put screen protectors and keep them in cases when not is use). Under the 1 year warranty I have sent it to Nintendo for repair. They insisted that the damage to the gamepad was an accidental damage, not included in warranty, and wanted me to pay £80 (!!) for repair. I swear it just stopped working on it's own and I had it for around 7 months. Amazon (where I bought my Wii U) on the other hand accepted my return (without 2 Wii Remotes and a game which was bundled in my purchase) and provided me with a full refund. Nintendo has much to learn from Amazon.
In my opinion, under the family-friendly image of Nintendo, it is just a horrible money-grabbing company, not caring about their customers and Switch with all it's expensiveness proves it again (not the console, I think it's priced allright - but the accessories and hell overpriced)
Either way, I will keep buying Nintendo stuff as I still love their game, although my love for the company is not there anymore.
I'm actually looking forward to that game! I bought Rayman Legends for Wii U, but the day before it arrived, my Wii U broke down and I had to return it (got angry at Nintendo for not respecting the warranty on the console - their customer service is truly horrible. Luckily Amazon offered me a full refund and I got PS4 instead)
Will definitely be playing this on Switch at some point.

No Zelda can beat Tetra-Zelda.
