People always defend shady stuff Nintendo does. They emulate stuff pretty badly and they take away half of the game and what do you people do? Celebrate and give it an 80%. I used to respect you guy's reviews and even used them for games I didn't purchase on my Switch but this is crazy.
And just because when you were 9 you bet the game with the ridiculous rental pokemon that aren't even good RPG characters because you have no growth and no control of the Pokemons moves. This was a problem when the game was released and it's a problem today twofold because they want to drip feed you original GB games to get you to pay for what is no doubt the worst online service.
I had to change my internet to be able to play online Splatoon because Nintendo is stupid. Everything else worked fine. That's PSN and Xbox Live or good or whatever it is nowadays.
Acting like this isn't a legitimately criticism is nostalgia and fan worship at its worse. But that's what I expected from things related to Nintendo now.
These games are not worth that much objectively. You're talking about a barely there remaster of games that weren't all that successful to start with.
Absolutely just price gouging day one and will discount a month or two later.
Also I didn't know about Zelda being more expensive. It's not a next gen title it shouldn't be more expensive. Make a new switch and then charge me that amount.
@IronTruth I imagine they were referring to his comments about the trans community but given how you decided to express your thoughts on gender identity you probably have no problem with what he said.
It's important to be honest about what people say and not deflect or, in this case, lie.
@russell-marlow it's funny how people always have to mention CDPR when talking about Skyrim. It's cool they were able to compress their game. Most people don't care about that or physical copies of games. If they did, the market would adjust.
I know Skyrim has some issues but it's nowhere close to Cyberpunk or The Witcher in terms of bugs and lack of content. Imagine if Bethesda had locked guard behavior behind a paid dlc instead of just fixing it.
Just goes to show if you actually work on a port well you can do amazing things.
Also the Steam Deck is a niche product. As much as I complain about Nintendo, it's highly likely that they will remain the kings of portable play. People act like the 3DS didn't have inferior technology pretty much since it came out and it still did really well.
Fans shouldn't be the only ones to review a product. It's how games like Elden Rings are celebrated as critically acclaimed games with little criticism. Almost every review was from a Souls fan and you could tell.
I think it tells a lot more about a game if someone who has no feelings or even bad feelings toward a genre IP or whatever reviews it.
Fans are happy with anything. I say that as a fan of many things that I would have no business reviewing for a publication.
@Wexter you can twist things around all you like. It's what always happens here when Nintendo does anything even slightly sinister.
Also maybe you should stop trying to gatekeep the comments. Your opinion isn't any more valid than anyone else's.
Also just fyi but the company that you are contracted with can get you fired. Just because they weren't a permanent employee doesn't mean that Nintendo didn't make the decision.
And the fact they even use contractors in this way is shady asf.
Not surprised that you guys will blame the victim of Nintendo. It's what you always do. It may surprise you but Nintendo is just as bad a company as an other video game related one.
@Lyricana ISPs can and will do stuff about it but usually only when it's pirated media they own. I've seen people get their internet cut off and ISPs with certain set ups can look at what you download and absolutely track that if they want.
On the main topic most Switch games that are considered playable on PC are in a horrible state and even the emulators are very early in development. Click bait again.
@victordamazio speak for yourself. I loved the remake and think it's amazing. It improves upon the story and makes it much better and even nods toward people who expected it to be 1:1.
The original stands up ok. It was amazing for it's time but it doesn't compare to the remake.
One reputable leaker already showed how unreliable their word is by saying it would be announced last night then deleting their tweet when it wasn't.
A lot of reputable leakers seem no different than psychics or grifters making as many predictions as possible then deleting the ones that don't actually happen.
I love the way people will miss the obvious answer of Nintendo doing what Nintendo does and pushing developers and publishers around as it sees fit in order to invent seemingly non-existent tech issues that Nintendo didn't think were bad enough to not certify the game.
It sounds like you need to take more personal responsibility for how you take care of your property and stop using it as an excuse to partake in rampant consumerism.
I mean it's a given here that people will defend the classic Nintendo tactic of intentional scarcity and mistake it as demand.
They look cool. I'm not going to pretend to care about intellectual property or try to impress a company that doesn't care about me. I'll never understand that.

Re: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade's File Size On Switch 2 Is Making Us Sweat
Good for you guys finally getting to play an amazing game.
Don't listen to the negativity. It's just sad old people who still miss the 90s looking back on a pretty standard game as something earth shattering.
Re: ICYMI: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Estimated Switch 2 And Switch File Size Revealed
@87th this is a lie. Almost every ps5 rerelease has come with an upgrade this generation unless it's a remake.
I had to come back to say that.
I don't know why Nintendo fans always have to try to attack other companies.
Re: Octopath 0 Is A Game-Key Card On Switch 2, And Square Enix Has "No Plans" For A Switch 1 Upgrade Option
I see Nintendo is still doing shady stuff and the regular crowd is still around defending it all.
Imagine defending a company that has gotten even more anti consumer over the years to the point they think they can patent riding something.
There goes my horse riding games.

I'll take Bethesda over CDPR any day.

Re: Skyrim Anniversary Switch Players Seem To Be Experiencing Performance Issues
I thought people were saying Bethesda would be better now that they are owned by Microsoft.
It seems like they're even worse than usual. There's no way to justify the next gen price for something like this.
Re: Star Wars: KOTOR II Switch DLC Appears To Have Missed Its Release Window
It's ridiculous that they haven't announced anything. There is no real excuse although people here are already making one.
The sad part is that you can get it to work on PC with little effort so why is it taking so long for the Switch version?

Re: Surprise! Skyrim Anniversary Edition Is Out Now On The Switch eShop
I didn't see anything about performance updates.
I have Skyrim for the Switch but I can't say it's my favorite way to play it. Portability was nice but it came with definite downsides.
And they can go away for trying to sell me fishing for 20 dollars no matter the console.

Re: Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition Shows Off Optional Upgrades
@Troll_Decimator you mean the filler that was already in the original game which was about walking down corridors and a cave every once in a while.
Seems like you should leave off half your name.
Re: How Do You Improve The Switch Pro Controller? Just Add Some 'Click'
I think the base controller works just fine. I personally like the sensitivity of the d pad because it feels like it actually responds.
Might just be me though
Re: Soapbox: A Week After Jailing One Pirate, Nintendo Just Made Piracy A Reality For Countless Fans
Don't worry.
Nintendo will just rerelease it and make you buy it again at a ridiculous mark up on a current gen console.
And people will eat it up likes it's a good thing because Nintendo can't be bad.
Re: Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition Shows Off Optional Upgrades

Re: The Risqué 'Duel Princess' Returns To PC Following Switch And Steam Delisting
Wokeness isn't a real thing. You guys always use that as an excuse for everything.
Re: Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation And DLCs Will Also Disappear From The 3DS eShop
Nintendo leaves you no choice but to ride the seas.
Seriously, one of the worst companies ever in terms of stuff like this.
Re: Chrono Cross Is Getting A Remaster, And Boy Does It Look Rough
The game looks fine.
I see you guys still have ***** articles and authors who will fight with people who disagree.
Re: Switch OLED Success "Could Set A Precedent For Charging More Across The Industry", Analyst Warns
@twztid13 I'm saying what I said. Sony fans are ok with getting screwed by Sony but they aren't in denial about it.
Nintendo fans as a whole are.
Re: Switch OLED Success "Could Set A Precedent For Charging More Across The Industry", Analyst Warns
That's funny.
I don't see people saying this is anti-consumer or anything like on PushSquare every time Sony does something.
I love my Switch but Nintendo fans are some of the most hypocritical people I've ever met.
Re: EA Is Bringing Another Legacy Edition Of FIFA To Nintendo Switch
@UglyCasanova The mentality that people should be free to make their own decisions?
It also gave us Western Civilization.
Re: EA Is Bringing Another Legacy Edition Of FIFA To Nintendo Switch
I haven't seen this much whining about how other people spend their money since Square Enix released FFVIII Remastered.
If you don't like it don't buy it, but don't act like that makes you better than the people who did. It's silly.
Re: Nintendo Switch Pro: Everything We Know - 4K Visuals, Nvidia Tegra And 2021 'OLED Model'
Why don't you just admit that the rumors were wrong?
If Nintendo announces it now, it's less of a leak and more of tired fanboys giving them ideas of how to exploit more money from them.
It's kind of pathetic how you guys feed this.
Re: Random: Even Coca-Cola Is Getting In On The Switch Pro Hype
But we didn't.
Don't you guys get sick of jumping the gun based on foreign subsidiaries of massive conglomerates making bad decisions or mistakes?
Re: Random: What If Nintendo Just Released A Basic Switch XL?
@UndoControl
It's not true until it's true.
Also I didn't see it at the E3 direct either. Unreliable or made up leaks shouldn't be covered as news.
I'm not going to join you and make excuses about why the leaks didn't come true either.
Re: Random: What If Nintendo Just Released A Basic Switch XL?
I stopped at the part where you said you were careful about reporting about the Switch Pro.
You've been reporting about it for years now as though it was coming it out the next week.
It's hilarious but not careful at all.
Re: Nintendo Resumes Distribution Of Switch System Update 12.0.3
It's alright guys.
It's totally not a plot by Nintendo to break your Switch so you have to buy a new Switch Pro.
They would never needlessly hurt their own fans for money. NEVER!

Re: The Elder Scrolls: Blades Adds Motion Controls On Switch, Version 1.7.1 Patch Notes
@Oddball83 you're aware that my profile picture is from a video game right? That was the art style for the video game.
Keep trying to be edgy and one day you'll just fall off the edge.
Re: Nintendo Releases Two Day-One Updates For Miitopia On Switch
I was fine with Wii U ports but if this just an 'enhanced" version of the 3DS version then I think we've reached peak port.
I hope we get some actual new good games this year.
Re: Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Is Coming To Switch
I wonder how this game will run on the Switch.
Re: Black Isle Admits There Have Been "Issues" With The Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance Switch Release
I love the way people will miss the obvious answer of Nintendo doing what Nintendo does and pushing developers and publishers around as it sees fit in order to invent seemingly non-existent tech issues that Nintendo didn't think were bad enough to not certify the game.
It speaks to the delusion among the fanbase.
Re: Nintendo Accused Of Allowing "Pirated Software On The eShop" By GBA Emulator Developer
It's always great to see how many people in this community will bend over backwards to protect poor little Nintendo.
What would we do without them?
Also the eShop belongs to Nintendo. I'm not sure how deluded you have to be to give Nintendo a blank check for everything ever but you guys are there.
Re: "As You Can See, I'm Not A Switch Player" Admits Epic Games' Tim Sweeney
Oh look, the rich guy doesn't own a Nintendo Switch or a PS5. I wouldn't know this without your slam dunk public re- "article".
Now can we all forgot that non important part where he's attempting to appear human in order to get a bigger cut of his dope profits.
I seriously hope you guys are getting paid though.
Re: Soapbox: Hurry Up And Release The Switch Pro Already, My Switch Is Dying
It sounds like you need to take more personal responsibility for how you take care of your property and stop using it as an excuse to partake in rampant consumerism.
My Switch works like the day I bought it.
Re: Super Seducer 1 & 2 Refused By Nintendo Due To "Explicit Content"
I'm really happy that far fewer people are whining about this being censorship then a year or two ago.
Re: Panic Button Explains Why DOOM Eternal's Cutscenes Run At 20fps On Switch
@Doktor-Mandrake You basically did though. Your comments are straight from the whole "pc master race" playbook.
How does it effects you if someone you don't know thinks something is superior? Who are you to decide what's superior for someone else?
Re: Random: Cheap Clones Of NES LEGO Set Feature Duck Hunt, Contra, And Super Mario Bros

They look cool. I'm not going to pretend to care about intellectual property or try to impress a company that doesn't care about me. I'll never understand that.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Bravely Default II
Definitely worth a preorder.
Guarantee it will actually run and be fun unlike some other games released recently.
Re: Soapbox: When Is The Next 'Big' Nintendo Direct? Oh, Does It Really Matter Anymore?
I'm still waiting for the Switch Revision/Update that's been AWOL since the day after the Switch released.
Re: Looks Like Nintendo Accidentally Used A Fan-Made Mario Render On Its Website
@Quix I see you're one of those people who feels more intelligent the more people disagree with them.
You're wrong. No point in explaining why anymore because other people have.
Re: Video: Here's How Animal Crossing: New Horizons Looks Running At 4K, 60FPS
What an odd choice to use for this example.
Do one of the Xenoblades, they have awful resolution and framerate at times.
Re: Looks Like Nintendo Accidentally Used A Fan-Made Mario Render On Its Website
@Quix no it's not stealing or Nintendo would issue takedown notices?
Have you not been paying attention? They issue takedown notices about everything!
Also it's no surprise. Nintendo steals quite often and has even been know to release roms downloaded from the Internet due to laziness and greed.
The only surprise here is that it's still surprising to people that they steal.
Re: Industry Analysts Are Still Confident We'll See A Switch Pro This Year
I thought they said it was already coming out definitely no lie last year.
Ridiculous.
Re: Random: YouTuber Shows Google Stadia Version Of Cyberpunk 2077 Running On Switch
@TG16_IS_BAE in short a lot of people still didn't get one yet.
So yeah I stand by my comment.
EDIT: oh I see. Looks like you were doing their PR for them. Thanks.
Re: Random: The Switch Subreddit Is Having A Bit Of A Meltdown
I'm sure it's some "joke" that's really just something the person's too scared to say seriously but that they really mean.
Also it seems a stupid place to even make a joke like this. But people do what they do.
