Re: Review: Pokémon Stadium - The Original 151 Brought To Life With Style

People always defend shady stuff Nintendo does. They emulate stuff pretty badly and they take away half of the game and what do you people do? Celebrate and give it an 80%. I used to respect you guy's reviews and even used them for games I didn't purchase on my Switch but this is crazy.

And just because when you were 9 you bet the game with the ridiculous rental pokemon that aren't even good RPG characters because you have no growth and no control of the Pokemons moves. This was a problem when the game was released and it's a problem today twofold because they want to drip feed you original GB games to get you to pay for what is no doubt the worst online service.

I had to change my internet to be able to play online Splatoon because Nintendo is stupid. Everything else worked fine. That's PSN and Xbox Live or good or whatever it is nowadays.

Acting like this isn't a legitimately criticism is nostalgia and fan worship at its worse. But that's what I expected from things related to Nintendo now.

Re: Sega Explains Why Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection Costs $80

These games are not worth that much objectively. You're talking about a barely there remaster of games that weren't all that successful to start with.

Absolutely just price gouging day one and will discount a month or two later.

Also I didn't know about Zelda being more expensive. It's not a next gen title it shouldn't be more expensive. Make a new switch and then charge me that amount.

@IronTruth I imagine they were referring to his comments about the trans community but given how you decided to express your thoughts on gender identity you probably have no problem with what he said.

It's important to be honest about what people say and not deflect or, in this case, lie.

Re: Mini Review: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition - And Another One!

@russell-marlow it's funny how people always have to mention CDPR when talking about Skyrim. It's cool they were able to compress their game. Most people don't care about that or physical copies of games. If they did, the market would adjust.

I know Skyrim has some issues but it's nowhere close to Cyberpunk or The Witcher in terms of bugs and lack of content. Imagine if Bethesda had locked guard behavior behind a paid dlc instead of just fixing it.

I'll take Bethesda over CDPR any day.

Just goes to show if you actually work on a port well you can do amazing things.

Also the Steam Deck is a niche product. As much as I complain about Nintendo, it's highly likely that they will remain the kings of portable play. People act like the 3DS didn't have inferior technology pretty much since it came out and it still did really well.

Re: Review: Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris - One For Forgiving SAO Fans Only

Fans shouldn't be the only ones to review a product. It's how games like Elden Rings are celebrated as critically acclaimed games with little criticism. Almost every review was from a Souls fan and you could tell.

I think it tells a lot more about a game if someone who has no feelings or even bad feelings toward a genre IP or whatever reviews it.

Fans are happy with anything. I say that as a fan of many things that I would have no business reviewing for a publication.

Re: Fired Nintendo Worker Comes Forward With An Account Of Their Dismissal

lordzand

@Wexter you can twist things around all you like. It's what always happens here when Nintendo does anything even slightly sinister.

Also maybe you should stop trying to gatekeep the comments. Your opinion isn't any more valid than anyone else's.

Also just fyi but the company that you are contracted with can get you fired. Just because they weren't a permanent employee doesn't mean that Nintendo didn't make the decision.

And the fact they even use contractors in this way is shady asf.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Has Leaked And Is Fully Playable On The Steam Deck

@Lyricana ISPs can and will do stuff about it but usually only when it's pirated media they own. I've seen people get their internet cut off and ISPs with certain set ups can look at what you download and absolutely track that if they want.

On the main topic most Switch games that are considered playable on PC are in a horrible state and even the emulators are very early in development. Click bait again.

Re: Looks Like Nintendo Accidentally Used A Fan-Made Mario Render On Its Website

@Quix no it's not stealing or Nintendo would issue takedown notices?

Have you not been paying attention? They issue takedown notices about everything!

Also it's no surprise. Nintendo steals quite often and has even been know to release roms downloaded from the Internet due to laziness and greed.

The only surprise here is that it's still surprising to people that they steal.
