Re: Nintendo's UK Chart Presence Takes A Beating This Week As Multi-Platform Stars Lead The Charge

lordzand

@PlayedNSlayed @BladedKnight @NewAdvent @Quarth @Mr_Pepperami I have a PS4 and you guys behave exactly like the Nintendo cult when someone implies that a massively successful game also has mindless followers who buy it because it's popular. That's really all I have to say.

It's no different with Pokémon or Halo or any other exclusive massively successful franchise. The fact you think I just think this about one game is your problem not mine. The fact that you all desperately want this to be a fan war is also your problem.

No one would have an issue if I said about it Fortnite, Final Fantasy, or COD. I've seen it many times here. You only care because it's your sacred cow game that everyone must like.

It's just a game guys.

Re: Nintendo's UK Chart Presence Takes A Beating This Week As Multi-Platform Stars Lead The Charge

lordzand

@NewAdvent no it really didn't. Saying something appeals to the mindless masses doesn't mean that's the only people who it appeals to. It's always nice when people choose to tell you what you mean and all but you obviously have no clue.

GTA V did this too btw. They just toned down the stories and threw in a lot of violence (unnecessary torture scene) and the mindless masses loved that too.

Sorry if it offends you when I call it.

Re: Three, Yes Three Resident Evil Games Are Headed To Nintendo Switch In 2019

lordzand

I'm happy with this. People who complain about ports and remasters just don't seem to understand this gaming generation.

I'd rather have a remaster I can play portably then one blown up and bloated to 4K. It at least makes it worthwhile to buy again. I never understand the Ps4 getting Ps3 games and didn't buy them again. A slight bump in graphics and performance isn't enough to make me spend money again.

Portability is.

Re: Bethesda Confirms It Won't Be Bringing Fallout 76 To The Nintendo Switch

lordzand

@mikegamer I don't. I thought that was obvious.

At least not Fallout. I do hope the new TES turns out better though. People act like it's impossible to not want this game so I was simply saying why I don't, regardless of the consoles it's on or not on.

And of course half of the comments are from people who act like they have inside knowledge about it. It's likely this game will perform mediocre on most of the consoles it's released on. It's a given that current Gen consoles struggle with Bethesda products on release and not just because of the specs, but because Bethesda does their games extremely lazily.

Re: Bethesda Confirms It Won't Be Bringing Fallout 76 To The Nintendo Switch

lordzand

@BigKing so basically you asked a question and totally ignored the parts of the answer you didn't like.

I played some of FF15, and all I can say is it is marginally better than 13 which the Switch also doesn't have. Yet you left that entry out, and I can't help but wonder if even you can't troll hard enough to seriously claim that it would upset Switch users.

Re: Bethesda Confirms It Won't Be Bringing Fallout 76 To The Nintendo Switch

lordzand

@BigKing I mean, technically it does get current Gen games.

Outlast 1 and 2, Dark Souls Remastered, FF World, 12 Zodiac Age, DQ 11, Ffx, X-2, Wolfenstein 1 and 2 and so on and on. There have been a lot of remaster of older games true but that's part of this whole generation and not a Switch problem.

You know I'm always always pointing out the problems the Switch has, to the point where several of the diehard fanboys have blocked me and yet I can't see your comment as anything other than misinformed trolling.

Re: Starlink: Battle For Atlas Physical Release Will Require A 6GB Day One Update

lordzand

So no one's going to point out that Nintendo could have just used a cheaper format for their games to ship on? I know, this is the part where I get told it's for piracy reasons even though it did nothing to stop it.

Nintendo should have just used more universal storage options. There have to be some and it would have been cheaper.

Hell they could have used SD cards since you have to have one to load the games and can download the games from the eshop onto one. I wonder if that would be cheaper than their half a game cards they used now.

Re: Konami Confirms There Are "Absolutely No Plans" To Bring Castlevania Requiem To Other Systems

lordzand

@Yasume it's ridiculous that you personally attack someone like that and people actually like it. Even if the more I read, the more it seems true. Civility is so dead. Negativity doesn't mean someone's a loser.

The article attempts to act like it's a positive because of a voice track. The voice of track of every Castlevania game has sucked so badly that I don't see how it matters.

Re: Reggie Says Nintendo Competes For Consumer Time, Not Concerned About Direct Competition

lordzand

I love the way people are using this as an excuse for us to not to have Netflix on Switch. There is now excuse for it not, even the 3DS which people call inferior because of resolution was able to have YouTube and Netflix apps.

No other portable or, since people want to go this way, home console lacks basic apps like this. I can use it on my iPad, my Android, my Vita, my 3DS, my Wii U, and my Ps3/PS4.

That does mean I have lots of other options yes, but it also means my other portables compete with the Switch in a way it can't, meaning it loses that battle. So when there's not a game I want to play for months, or I'm just burnt out on games, I don't use my Switch at all. Which is fine, but seems like something Nintendo wouldn't want.

Re: Feature: Why Pokémon: Let's Go Is The Perfect Entry Point For Pokémon GO Players

lordzand

@johnvboy and I will say it again. Gamers are involved on the internet in a larger concentration than many many other focus groups. There is an obvious overlay between gaming and computers, duh, but also one between online forums for expression and gamers. It's not hard to see.

Your ridiculous and, until the game is released, unfounded claims of massive success are false. We have no idea how it will do and all I've said is that I personally won't buy it. You're claiming everyone else will so the burden of proof is on you.

Re: Feature: Why Pokémon: Let's Go Is The Perfect Entry Point For Pokémon GO Players

lordzand

@iLikeUrAttitude thanks and yeah I don't really understand. They also act as though only 5 people feel this way despite most of the comments being negative even here on a site that is almost always mostly positive about anything Nintendo.

@johnvboy you realize no everyone is going to a member of every site right? I don't have an account there and many many others don't as well.

Re: Feature: Why Pokémon: Let's Go Is The Perfect Entry Point For Pokémon GO Players

lordzand

@johnvboy no I didn't tell you to dismiss it. I said you should stop dismissing people just because you're convinced it's a small internet minority. Reread my comment friend.

Lots of gamers post online, there's huge overlap between online forums and gaming and has been since the late 90's.

Gamefreak isn't attempting to expand anything, they're attempting to cash in on the success of Pokémon GO. They'll make much more money off this game then it, I'm sure, because PGO was made by a third party.

We know nothing about the mainline game yet. It's not a huge leap to think that they will let this influence it, especially if it makes a bunch of money.

Re: Feature: Why Pokémon: Let's Go Is The Perfect Entry Point For Pokémon GO Players

lordzand

@johnvboy I don't understand why people feel the need to belittle others who don't want this game. It's groupthink at its finest. If multiple people are saying they don't want something, maybe there's more to it then just me, unless of course you meant to imply that the massive amount of negative feedback, which is mentioned in the article, is simply all mine?

I fail to see why you're so invested in just smearing high sales figures in people's faces. If you read my whole comment, you would see I mentioned that it's possible the games sales high. I just don't see how that does anything but push this further.

The fanbase reacted badly to SM and their ultra versions for basically the same thing, that they simplified an already simple game. It makes sense to suspect that using the same logic as displayed there and in this article that this game could impact the future of the franchise and the way it plays.

If you gave insider information please share or kindly stop dismissing people for saying things you don't want to hear.

Re: Feature: Why Pokémon: Let's Go Is The Perfect Entry Point For Pokémon GO Players

lordzand

I don't think any of these things are good. The games were simple enough, and not difficult at all to understand. I mean, if we start sacrificing anything the last bit complicated about games in order to make it where no one has to learn to play them then we end up with games with no gameplay at all.

I get that diehard fans want to give these games coverage. It's understandable. It's also understandable that many of the actual fans of the games, myself included, see this and know if it's successful that this will be the future of Pokémon.

I don't care what mouthpiece they get to sprout how great it is, I don't have to and won't believe it. Typically, I would complain and still buy it, I'll admit, but I won't be doing that this time either because that will only encourage this approach.

Re: New Study Suggests That Playing Violent Video Games Leads To Increased Physical Aggression

lordzand

I'd love to hear about the group that commissioned this study and where they get their funding, plus how they did their control group and the specifics.

Because it should clear to everyone scientific studies can be manipulates to say whatever the money funding them wants them to.

@Emperor-Palpsy I would like to point out that I have been reminded by political parties and other parents it's not my place to raise their kids or to object to anything they do. It's not the governments either.

Parents who push this narrative also typically push for censorship for all instead of monitoring the media their children take in. At the end of the day, it's not on me to make sure children don't play violent games, I, as you point out, didn't choose to be a teacher and my children don't behave that way.

I'm not going to allow myself to have options taken away to make it easier on people who aren't going to parent anyway to pretend like they care about their children. I don't have a problem with the issue being looked into, I have a problem with a vocal minority pushing for censorship as always becomes the problem here.

I would go further and say that I don't support censorship at all. Parents should parent and if they can't, they should no longer have children.

Re: Random: Nintendo Is Now Refusing To Offer Stock To Amazon France After Disagreements

lordzand

@DanteSolablood I mean one only has to check reviews on various sites and media outlets to see that at one point Nintendo was sending out defective Switches.

We also don't know the difference in production cost between the 3DS and the Switch. I would imagine it's not an extremely high amount given the way Nintendo sources parts. Amazon having something routinely on sale doesn't force anyone to match that price and no one else has despite this being a regular occurrence.

But thanks for being civil and giving a coherent response my friend. XD

Re: Random: Nintendo Is Now Refusing To Offer Stock To Amazon France After Disagreements

lordzand

@Amsterdamsters Yes how dare me blame the company making the decision. I should just blame any other group. Damn Harry Potter fans making Nintendo not give stock to Amazon France.

@DanteSolablood Amazon regularly discounts things. It's what being a discount retailer is all about. Walmart also does this as does any other discount retailer. The 3DS have been discounted a lot lately for example. Nintendo loses nothing from this as they are paid the same amount.

@AlternateButtons Amazon pays the same price and takes the hit. Did you even read the actual article? Nintendo is out absolutely no money.

@Razer what you just described is capitalism. Places discount things to get you into their stores or websites to buy other things. It's kind of the whole thing that allows sales. I expect better from someone who pretends we should listen to their personal sales forecasts all the time.

@Heavyarms55 Nintendo is free to do anything they want. They get the same amount of money for the purchase. As far as I know they haven't pulled the 3DS stock from Amazon when they have it on sale. They are doing this purely because the fact that Amazon knocked money off makes them look bad.

Re: SEGA AGES Sonic The Hedgehog - Feel The Need For Speed (Yet Again) On Switch

lordzand

@Rotroid Just because you're good at a game doesn't make it good. Just because you're bad at a game doesn't make it bad.

See there are these things called opinions and they cover pretty much every judgment that ends in good or bad. Accept that people's are different and that you being "ubergood" at this game doesn't make yours anymore correct than someone who hates it.

@rohanrocks88 I quoted you by mistake originally lol sorry.

Re: Soapbox: Why Do We Want More Games When We've Already Got Too Many?

lordzand

Thanks for validating my need to complain about you complaint about me complaining about how I want more games that I like that you may or may not like.

But in all seriousness, you're making a massive generalization about what people actually say. People just want more games they like, acting like just because multiple games are released everyone must be happy is the height of stupidity.

It's like saying ok guys, no new music for the rest of the year because we have ENOUGH of the style of music I like. It's arbitrary and childish.
