I would love to play this on Wii U, if only it meant this would finally be playable.
I remember the PC game being buggy beyond belief, so much so that I gave up playing it within an hour or so, it was breaking in half at every turn. I am assuming to get to WiiU it will need to get through the certification process and that will hopefully make it playable...
I thought Dual Destinies was a much weaker than average installment in the series and I'm hoping for Dai Gyakuten Saiban to be a fresh breeze when (if) it gets localised, so I don't know how interested I am in a main series sequel for now...
Well, it's hard to talk about aesthetics in very precise terms, the font doesn't appeal to me, the colors and graphics of the menus and buttons feel like, if they even represent a unified art style that art style somehow feels... I don't know... cheap... or maybe the word is generic...
It feels like it's the generic supermarket brand of puzzle games...
Again, it's not like I'm an art critic, I can only tell you what looking at the trailers and screen shots makes me "feel", it's not like I am able give very constructive criticism here (Maybe if I had a degree in graphic design I'd have more useful answers).
I'm down with some nonogram action on the wii U but the interface for this looks pretty gross... I think if it looks like this I'd rather sit down with some paper puzzles, especially since (much like the 3DS games) they're portable...
I'm almost starting to regret buying my Wii U last month...
Nothing I'm interested in in this image (even on the 3DS side, but that's ok, because I have plenty of games I am nowhere near finishing and a few I want but haven't bought yet)
Oh wow, a way to freely unlock content you already have, but need a statue to access? Cry me a river, Nintendo.
I don't really care that much about amiibo or the content they unlock, but I am glad that now it means they will never be able to put essential-ish content behind a paywall, opened by a collectable.
Meanwhile it means the people who "COLLECT collect" don't have to drag their amiibos around with them or can store them in their display cases or whatever without having to take them out every time they want to use them.
@CrazedCavalier I just ended up trekking through every stage with all my characters in pairs and wrecking sh*t, and the promise of infinite XP at my fingertips from fighting any difficulty of risen really blunted the experience for me.
Sure, there were dumb tricks to rack up exp in previous FE games but they were just that, tricks. Some people got to feel clever for using them, me, I avoided them because they were tedious and considered them side effects of an imperfect system, an attitude I can't maintain towards the EXP on a silver plate that resulted from reeking boxes...
With everything I've been hearing about this game, and how much less strategy I used when playing Awakening vs. the previous Fire Emblem games, I think I won't be getting this even if this is true...
@Dr_Lugae I am also not a big fan of those particular strategies either but at least they exist as a side-effect of the basic gameplay rules, the likes of which are hard if not impossible to eradicate rather than a purposeful addition in the form of a new feature...
The main issue with that people have with these feautures is that it means that now the "best" way to play the game is to use the feature, in the sense that this feature gives us an edge in the game in return for an action which requires no skill (or requires focusing on skills that they did not expect to need in this particular game).
Now suddenly the most effective way to win includes a type of gameplay that you really dislike...
Now that I have a Wii U, I wish I'd bought Citizens of Earth on it instead of my 3DS, but even 5 bucks, without the ability to copy my savegame and just continue where I left off... meh...
I love adventure time more with every episode, but all the games so far have been between awful and mediocre. I'll take a good look at the reviews before I'll consider getting this...
Let's seee I haven't quite finished MH3, I just got MH4, cross is on the way. Meanwhile I've hated just about everything squeenix has done with the FF name since... FFX sooooooo pass.
Guess I'll get Wakedas. I currently have too many games to justify buying ANYTHING except on sale. Even though it's only from 3€ to 2€, I really enjoyed the demo, so I guess I'll pick it up.
If we get a good (fan) translation of this it'd be great to have another proper fire emblem game to play. I'm not liking most of the developments in the more recent FE games...
I had a great time playing Bravely Default. There is this part in the game (which does tie into the story) where things get a bit repetitive and I hear a lot of people don't finish the game from that point. I myself had the game hanging around for a long time but I finished it in the end, and loved it. I'll be looking forward to Bravely Second, assuming they don't push their luck by expanding on microtransactions.
@mjc0961 Someone cares enough to write a rant that long about it.
Oh, by the way, did you know for example that you will get "banned" from Miiverse for posting on Miiverse? That's right! Every time you post they "ban" you. Sure, they lift the "ban" after a minute or so, but still. Sigh. Enjoy your sensationalist headlines.
More like zero ways to get banned. These are 5 ways to get disconnected (and yes, repeat offenders may have to wait several hours up to a few days to play again. To me "banned" means online play suspended indefinitely... or at least for a much more considerable amount of time than a few hours.
"Sadly, Siliconera has asked the publisher about the chances of these costumes being in the Western edition of the game and has been told that they are Japan-exclusive."
A bit of an awkward sentence. It makes it seem like it is not just sad that they were told they are Japan-exclusive, but that it is also sad that they asked about it in the first place...
I had never used the HOME button thing. I imagine I'll get a bit higher of a ranking in the competitions now.The split lives thing is quite welcome, as now I can save up my streetpass lives, without missing out on regenerating lives. I wonder what the max stock will be for these lives.
I don't care whether this is eShop, physical copy, or if the only way to buy it is to get a giant stack of paper with the binary for it sent in a package and I need to scan every page in bright light with the 3DS' camera. I NEED THIS.
I mean, i was confused because both of you spelled "Pinsar" whereas I know it as Pinsir... So since there were two of you I just got curious... (I'm not a big Pokémon fan either but I was during Generation 1, so I know all those names pretty well...)
First I thought it was just a misspelling but... is "Pinsar" "Pinsir" in another language? (I know a lot of the pokémon have different names across localizations)
