The intense and chaotic multiplayer-driven title Starwhal is soon arriving on the Wii U eShop in North America, with developer Breakfall today announcing the title will be making a splash on September 24.
The Wii U version of Starwhal will include an exclusive new 5 player mode. This mode titled “Blastopus" involves players fighting against each other, and adds a fifth player to the action with the assistance of the Wii U GamePad. This extra person takes on the role of the Blastopus and is tasked with dropping bombs on the narwhals below.
In addition to the GamePad support, Starwhal caters to the Wii Remote and Pro Controller. There are also themed costumes including both Mario and Mega Man-inspired designs as well as a stack of single player challenges to experience.
Take a look at the trailer and exclusive Wii U game mode below, and let us know in the comments if Starwhal looks like your idea of a fun time.

I wonder how much it will be. It's the sort of game you play for about ten minutes at a time, so I don't think I would want to pay more than a few bucks for it. Way fun though.
Hell yes, JUST THE TIP. I'll be getting this if it's even moderately decently priced!
Ya count me in
@linforcer Just the Tip is the only thing I know about this game.
Watched the videos, looks like they dropped the subtitle, so now I don't know anything about it. Looks like Runbow, plays like Smash? I guess a limited timed demo is too much to ask for, looks like it could be fun, but I can't tell.
Soooo happy... been waiting all year for it to hit WiiU!
I wonder if it has online multiplayer? Probably not... and did anyone else notice that it has almost the exact same art style as Far Cry Blood Dragon?
I played a demo of this on PS4. So super excited to play it at home with my friends. Now if only we could get Nidhogg and Drop Kick...
Local multiplayer & various controller support, he'll yes! This indie did it right. Played this game (demo) on Playstation & never picked it up. I'll get the Wii U version.
I like the design, but judging from those videos, that games looks pretty boring to me.
Then again, I could be wrong of course. Has anyone played it yet and can compare it to multiplayer games like Runbow?
I've been waiting to play this game and buy it until it came to Wii U. I can't wait!
No online, no service!!!
