GameFreak should be forced to give all their Switch output a performance upgrade for free.

Regualr inflation puts the console at this price, perhaps even a bit more. The White House has nothing to do with it, These prices have been rumored for ages.

This was why I was holding off buying a regular Micro SD card. There were rumors of express only support.

I think 256 GB is the highest size available... Not too bad if the legendary Nintendo game file sizes stay low.

The recommend retail price for games rarely ends up being the final price you actually pay. Everybody was crying about TOTK retail reveal price. But all retailers were cheaper at launch. But I am glad for digital versions of games to be lower.... considering the lack of logistical costs etc...

I am off today and will be recording the stream for my sisster to watch in my home cinema tonight. She is as casual a gamer as they come and even she is excited for all this. She got the information from the Switch news channel on the home screen.

Just inject an open world or hub based Mario Kart 9 onto my veins now...

After seeing uncompressed fottage and screens I do agree this is a step up from the Metroid remaster. And it is pretty impressive for an eight year old console which was dated hardware on release. But I still feel this should have been saved for the Switch 2 as the enviroments seem very claustrophobic to me. And as decent as this looks it's still nowhere near PS4 levels.

Well considering Nintendo online will continue as a service on the Nintendo Switch 2. It's pretty much a given they were holding some systems back for the new console.

But I would much prefer Nintendo concentrated on the New system and new games.

Nintendo life at it again. Suggesting competition for the Switch. When in fact there is none.

Sixty minutes seems a long time if there are very few games getting announced. The Switch 2 is a new console but not a new concept for Nintendo. So the hardware bit should take up less time than with the original console.

This is what we need to know. My original launch pro controller is still going strong. But I did want a new one for the Switch 2. I am holding off buying the current model.... just in case.

I am guessing the cartoon visuals make this more difficult. But the lighting. geometry, and the over all scope of the game are all miles ahead. It will become more obvious as the game is showed more,

These guys are awesome at squeezing every ounce of power out of the Switch.

I think there is something wrong with you if you get so upset over someone elses opinion. If you love it what does it matter what anyone else thinks. And if you genuinely feel this has PS4 level graphics then I am off to get you some glasses and a straight jacket.

Presonally I feel this game has been in development hell for years. And they got to a point where they could not hold off showing it anymore. Yes it looks pretty decent for the original Switch. But does it grap the attention..... no

Like I said I am hoping for the Switch 2 version to knock this out of the park. And I do remember the initial trailer looking a little better than this. Fingers and toes crossed for next tuesday.

I doubt the virtual console service is coming back, there is just not enough interest in all this apart from the core gamers. The system is fine for the majority of casuals who are buying the Switch.

It is what it is, plus I hated having to rebuy certain games over and over each generation. And most do not have time to play current games let alown old retro ones.

Are they replacing it with "Soccer that is super".... Nothing much lost here the game is so dated.

I am guessing that will not be even discussed. We will be waiting for launch day teardowns. Although a portable PS4 in handheld mode and near a pro docked sounds likely. If it has decent DLSS then this should be fine.

At this point I am nit sure I want anything announced for the current Switch. I would much preffer their efforts being pushed towards the new console.

Hopefully this is just an update od stuff we already know about, Or the last couple of Wii U ports etc.

Same here. If the micro SD express support rumors are true that will be a much better option.

So basically nobody knows the price. I think this console will be at the lower end... £350 and $350... I mean we do not know how much Nintendo was making on each unit with the original Switch. Nintendo are releasing older tech and the price will be affordable.

The Switch is doing very well considering it's eight years old at this point.

If Microsoft put as much effort in as they have with the Series X and S, Nintendo do not have much to worry about. Microsoft only seem interested in subscriptions.

I improved my switch by changing the MTU setting. It worked wonders.

Never had any issues myself although I am on full fibre 900Mbs. Can't wait for the Switch 2.

True. But lests see what happens when a Monster Hunter game releases on the Switch 2's improved hardware. Rise sold around 8 million copies on the Switch. But I am pretty sure a game with better graphics and enviromments will do much better.

Rise is awesome for the system it's on............ but still..

This is just so wrong on so many levels. Impressive tech for sure, but another case of a company thinking if they could do something, rather than if they should.
