Not sure he overstated what he had spent on the items, he never mentioned a price, apart from stating he paid a pretty pennyto get the items in mint condition, which did not seem over the top to me, and would be expected considering the items he bought. Also this was not the main focus of his post, in the first place.
Of course some will always take the negative view, no matter what people post on here.
They could of been review bombed, the critics are pretty similar, but yes these score less than Sword and Shield, but still very enjoyable Pokemon games. Perhaps the Switch 2 can do better.
Not sure we have any idea how many people are on the "Hate bandwaggon", as you put it. Sure on forums the core are all up in arms, but no real indication of how many people this actually is.
Nobody has, these problems are overblown by people, who usually have not even played the game. Most gamers look for the good in games, and do not obsess like the core minorities.
I think there is a delicate balance with all this, and I think everybody would benefit if these games ran better, but for some to suggest they are unplayable is wrong.
As I said Mario has more pull, even moreso with the amazing success of the Mario Bros movie, and Mario Kart, Pokemon has still sold around 90 million copies of gsmes on the Switch, not too shabby.
If you feel I am being passive aggressive towards you, then again that's no you not me, I guess you have just spent far too much time on social media, getting your own views fed back to you, so any opposing one seems like some sort of violence.
And so glad my avatar is living in your head... rent free, you must tell me what I owe you. With every post you expose your anger at trivial things, this place may not be te best for you Satan.
Never said you could not express your feelings on the matter, I simply do not agree with you, not a crime I am sure. I am just concerned you are doing yourself no good obsessing over such trivial things.
And of course getting personal kind of prooves my points, and says far more about you..... than me.
Not really, Mario has a much broader appeal than Pokemon, and as both mainline Pokemon gamer are at 6 and 7, I would still suggest they are doing very well. plus Gamefreak's output has been very strong on the Switch, so more games sold.
TOTK will not sell as Mutch as BOTW, no matter how you think it's tracking. The Pokemon franchise has sold around 97 million copies of games on the Switch, pretty sure those investors and Nintendo are very happy indeed.
I am not shrugging anything off, I am just stating facts, it's you and others that are spouting highly subjective opinions disguised as objective ones.
By the same token do you think Nintendo have noticed TOTK has sold 11 million copies less than BOTW, not sure of your point here, videogame sales for cretain franchises are not an exact science, both mainline Pokemon games on the Switch have sold very well, and are stitting at 6 and 7 in the overall list of the best selling Switch titles.
The only joke will be Nexomon's laughable slaes figures, and you should be grateful, games like this would not even exist if it were not for the popularity of the Pokemon franchise.
The Pokemon out put for the Switch has been very good overall and the sales show this. Of course some will always suggest strong sales do not equate to satisfaction, but of course there is no evidence to their claims either.
I find it facinating that people speand all this time and effort complaing about something they do not like, surely they would be better off playing and discussing games they love.
Not sure where the parasocial relationship comes into all of this, Gamefreak love making these games, and the vast majority love palying them.
I have no issues with people not liking these games, it's up to them, just pointing out it's not everybody, and it's nowhere near as bad as some point out.
Your comment started off with some great advice, which was for people not to get to wound up about all of this, as it's totally out of their control... and of course they could just choose to vote with their wallets, and simply not buy the game.
But then you just had to slip into the old celebrating mediocrity line, as if the developers were somehow getting away with murder or something, when it could just be the vast majority of fans look for reasons to like and enjoy a game, rather than be hell bent on pointing things out they do not like.
Very little in terms of context or nuance, people on videogame forums are usually very vocal when it comes to something they do not like. There is no real evidence of a wider customer backlash against this game, or any other Pokemon Switch game, for that matter. Many will simply enjoy these games, totally unaware of any issues.
Thank you for your perfect example of blowing things out of all proportion. The game has issues, but on the whole is a very enjoyable mainline Pokemon adventure, and is far from the train wreck some are suggesting.
23.33 million and the seventh best selling game on the Switch, but I do feel the performance issues are over exaggerated, the worst thing for me is the games strange frame rate cutting trick, which is ugly, but the way the game was made. Still enjoyed these games and have had lots of fun with them, as I am sure the vast majority of Pokemon fans have too.
The Gamecube failed because the console was going after core console gamers, who had all jumped ship by that time, in favor of Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo's exlusives and third party games, were not going to alter that.
Nintendo are not competing directly for the same market, which is why the Switch has been a massive success. Although not sure when I suggested Nintendo were not bringing out the Switch 2 next year.
All those YouTubers for clicks know the Switch 2 power, oh and Digital Foundry, who did a speculation video, based on rumors, that are now speculating on a trailer of a game, that nobody knows how the final product will turn out........ but are pretty sure will not run on the Switch 2.... even though nobody knows it's real specs as yet, pretty sure that's the gist of it.
Which is why I said make or break, some generations and consoles Nintendo's software has done great business, sometimes not so much, of course the platform itself has to take some of the blame, as their software can;t be expected to save every situation.
Totally different things, the gamecube was competing in the core market, that had already been won by Sony and Microsoft, no wonder Nintendo jumpt from the core marketplace.
You are not reading my posts, the Switch's success is not down to third party support, it's niche at best on the console. Nintendo's own software will always make or break their hardware sales... fact.
What?, Digital Foundry with it's whopping million or so subscribers, doing things for advertising clicks.... the mere thought of them doing this is pure insanity.... next you will be suggesting Nintendo Life does similar things... like this article..
I think you are confusing what you want Nintendo to do personally, with what Nintendo actually need to do. The Switch had third party support, but those games sold peanuts compared to Nintendo's own first and third party software.
You also overlook the fact most core gamers are ging to buy these AAA games on either Sony or Microsof's console, no matter how much power the Switch 2 ends up having, as it's more than just performance, it's the online infrastructure as well.
At the end of the day it will always be Nintendo software that pushes their hardware, all Nintendo need to keep doing is boosting that side of their business.
Yes Nintendo need to be very careful, the Switch was low powered and had none of those AAA multi platform games last generation, but still sold the most number of consoles and counting, and sold over a billion pieces of software and counting. So what is your business advice to them again......
I remember getting my videogame information from gaming magazines, back then E3 was the holy grail, and your only real source for new and in development games. Once the internet kicked in, the events days were always numbered, and to be honest I was surpriesed it lasted as long as it did.
I think the new more open world formula is here to stay, but that is not to suggest there can't be improvments and more liniar paths employed... pretty sure that was the idea in BOTW, you could just simply explore and do the main quest as you desired, or purely focus on the main task....
I was always sold on the whole.... go anywhere you could see aspect...

Totally agree, thirteen years is a decent amount of time, even more considering how much the Wii U bombed.

Love the way you say it's good somebody liked the game, then go on to tell them why they are somehow wrong to have liked it.

Pitty nobody else did, I was sugesting the name was a Pokemon rip of, they could at least be a bit more creative.

Nintendo should remake the older games, and continue with the new style as well. obviously expalnding in the dungeons etc.... with the latter.
Re: Zelda Producer Responds To Fans Who Want A More "Traditional Linear" Adventure

Very true, and BOTW seems so inspired by the original Zelda adventure. And made all those original dreams come true.

Same here, and I think we tend to agree more than we disagree. As I said I have no issues with the older games, I just like the new direction better.
Once again thank you.
