Personal preference. CRT and plasma tech is dead so why compare. I sold TV's for many years and OLED is just the best display you can get for the regualr consumer. As I stated motion blur is just not that noticable to me. Things move fast they blur. You just sound more susceptible to it.

I think you simply notice this more. For me you can't simply beat the black levels on OLED displays.

Define livable. Some people simply spend more than others. I earn a decent wage, but we still manage to get through it easily enough.

I have never noticed my LG C series motion as a blurry mess. I do have the game optimizer settings turned on. The Switch looks amazing on it. Mario Kart 8 deluxe in particular.

Without a doubt the Switch brand is very powerful at the moment.

4k and 60fps please. A similar option the Metroid Prime 4 where you get 120fps at 1080p is nice as well.

My LG C series OLED is waiting.

And then people complain about the Switch 2 price and Mario Kart World...

I was suggesting that inflation is a real thing. And just because people's wages do not increase at the same level will not prevent inflation from happening. It's simply makes it more difficult for people.

I think we will have the same as last time. Switch 2 and Switch 2 lite... as this covers more bases. Any more just introduces confusion.

I picked up my launch Switch at my local store at a midnight launch. Now they have closed.

For once we are getting a consoe launch with a game made exclusively for the console. Mario Kart world will thake advantage of the improved Switch 2 hardware.

I still think the fact Nintendo are pricing digital games cheaper this time round will affect retail prices a bit.

Well if you have the online expansion pack you could have the Zelda upgrades for free. I could easily pick up Zelda for around £30..

I would not even bother with this trash if it was free. As for the online expansion pack... I would much prefer the Zelda upgrades than this.

It's all about opinions and of course context. So you but the latest triple AAA game on the PS5 or Xbox and it's $70, then you add the various DLC packs..

We are simply not comparing apples with apples here.

A lot of people forget about the evergreen nature of Mario Kart games. And there pretty easy resale value.

Buy digital or get the bundle. Pretty sure you will be able to buy the game retail a little cheaper. People always seem to confuse suggested retail prices with what you actually end up paying.

Hopefully along the lines of new islands/areas etc with new courses. As long as they are good value who cares.

As for the price of the base game, I pre ordered for £70 in the U.K. This seems pretty decent value for the amount of content offered here.

Mario Kart 8 was awesome. I have both the Wii U and Switch versions. You could easily see how it sold 75 million units combined. But after in effect playing this since the Wii U launch it just felt a little stale. The same old format with the new and retro tracks just did not excite me as much as it used to. Even the DLC packs did not do much imho as they just did not have the quality of the tracks in the original game. Now don't get me wrong I would have been first in the queue if Nintendo had simply opted to make Mario Kart 9.

But I am so glad they did not this time round. And I was totally expecting them to shake things up a little this time round. In all fairness I more expected a hub word based affair like Diddy Kong racing. My ideal however was an open world Mario game where you explored and drove to courses etc. And that feeling of driving round an awesome Mario kart course with tantalising details in the background you could actually drive to.

The best thing is this game is only a couple of months away. And I am going on a media blackout around this game until release. I have watched the Switch 2 direct 5 mins trailer a few times. But I want to experience all this going in new.

Without a doubt Mario Kart World is the evolution the series needed. And for te first time since the GaneCube Nintendo are putting some decent power in the hands of it's gamers.

I have only watched the five minute trailer from the Nintendi Switch 2 direct. I will be on a media blackout until launch. This is the Mario Kart I always wanted. And it's looking awesome.

They would have to pay import duty. So not sure it's much of a saving.

DLC is fine as long as there is added value to it. This game looks to have masses of content and will give you a lot for your money.

Videogames are a luxury item you either agree with prices or you don't. Nobody is forcing anyone to buy a console. We are not entitled to have every product priced at what we personally want tp pay.

Ever since the Switch ws lauched some have complained about it's powere etc, and that the games were held back etc etc. Then Nintedno give them what they wanted and they complain the price has gone up a little.

The fact Amazon do not seem to have any worries me when Argos just seem to be taking way too many pre orders. I just think this may end up in tears..
