Awesome result, and that has to be the best deal on Mario Kart World.. I can't see Nintendo offering those bundles for too long.

To be honest I thought the scalpers would be pricing things much higher.

I got two bundles pre ordered from currys last week. You can do this in store and have to pay in full.

Now I just need to sort a console out for my duughter. Luckily I got an e-mail from Nintendo last week.

I doubt this is aimed at the core gamers. I would not even bother with this if it was free... or they paid me £10 to download it.

This takes away the fun of exploring a new gmae console imho.

But I thought all Switch 2 games were priced at $80..

I think you are confusing what might happen with what will happen.

But it's not $80 for every game. Just like every game was not £70 like TOTK on the Switch. Plus I think you are confusing the siuggested retail price with the exact price you will actually end up paying. I have already pre ordered a copy of MKW for £70 in the U.K..... That's £10 below retail. Same with TOTK where it was very easy to buy the game for £60.... again £10 below the suggested retail price.

You also have the option to go digital and save $10. Now in the past Nintendo were charging above the physical retail price for digital versions thus protecting the retailers. Now with this new moodel it must have a knock on effect and force the price down for the physical versions.

Most people that will buy this game and the new console will simply not care about any of this. Or even be aware that any of this was being discussed on niche viedogame forums in the first place.

Trust Ninteno life to take the shine off such an awesome time to be a Nintendo fan. Of course disguised as opinion.

They are not going to rain on my parade though. So hyped for this and can't wait to drive arounf the Mario Kart World.

An awesome console with Nvidia's latest AI DLSS tech that is ten times more powerful then the original switch. Which is only $100 or so more than the OLED was at launch.

If you have the online expansion subscription some upgrades will be free. I sold BOTW a while ago but kept my save file. So I will pick up a original Switch version second hand for £30 or so.

You all wanted more features and 4K etc. What did you actually expect. And you very rarely pay full retail for physical games. I bought TOTK for £60, and have just pre ordered Mario Kart World for £70.... both games £10 under the retail price.

You could of course go digital and save. Which makes me think how digital being cheaper has to habe a knock on effect for physical retail prices. In the past the opposite was true and thus protected the physical retailers. Also not every game will be priced at the higher rates. Just like every Switch game was not a the TOTK price point.

They were well aware the tarrifs were coming. Whichever way you slice it negotiations around trade were going to happen because of this.

It's region locked. You answered your own question there. But Japan tends to pay less for their hardware and software. Perks of home territory I suppose.

Was holding off replacing my original pro controller. Glad I did.

Very true. Take a game like Metroid Prime 4. The franchise has never been a massive seller. But Nintendo have brought it back. And even restarted development.

Totally agree. And I do not remember a time when everybody was happy with everything on a console reveal.

Hope you get one at launch. I will be on a Mario Kart media blackout from now until release. Which will be tough with the direct coming.

I do not dismiss these opinions. I just can't see this as any significant proof there is a wider issue here. It's usually people on niche internet forums speaking to people in similar bubbles.

Fair enough. Then you also have to accept what they price things at. And as customers we choose to buy or not. Personally I feel this is the usual storm in a teacup we always get around videogames and pricing.

And the dock has a fan as well. All of this stuff costs more. That wxrta power alongside Nvidia's DLSS tech makes me very excited for the future. The Cyberpunk footage in both handheld and docked looks awesome.

Without a doubt. So glad they ept things simple. And even in the reveal the other day they stated thiis was a brand new Switch console designed from th ground up. The are really pushing the message hard this time round.

To be fair there were other factors at play with the Wii to Wii U. But mixed messaging would not have helped matters.
