They both look like great games to pick up...for around 5 bucks each.
Although id prefer Ball X Pit get a mobile port, not only because Google always give you free Play cash so games become free, its just a better way to play such games that don't require a ton of intense movement.
Never been a fan of games where hi score is the goal. Big number go up doesn't appease my monke brain unless that number going up results in visible improvements.
@Anachronism I bet you think Pal World is a shameless clone by scammers despite it having more soul and polish than the last 5 full price Pokemon games.
Unsurprising. The average normie has NO clue how vulnerable everything is thanks to AI. And once we hit quantum computing (basically there already) security becomes impossible.
If by new they mean full price and just came out recently, this is the first month-ish ive bought 2 NEW games in...14 years since Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat came out at the same time.
And only then it was because Suck Song was cheap and I adore Hades 1 and Hades 2 being the same half-price for 100x quality of your typical modern slop AAA or Nintendough "baby's first" game..
I will probably die before buying another full new game. They just don't make em like they used to.
Hades Hades Hades. Such a masterpiece and I haven't experienced a single dropped frame on my Switch Lite in 10 hours despite all the chaos. Was really hoping they'd be able to up the performance of the first one just that wee tiny bit that it lacked, and they did, impressive.
Will force myself to play some more Suck Song too even if im not enjoying it much, feels like a downgrade in every way to 1. At least now that I can run and float, traversal is a little less annoying for all the backtracks because why put save points near bosses, that's silly, we want ARTIFICIAL difficulty!
FFT is my favorite FF game as well but I have it emulated on my phone so its been portable for me for years without carrying around another big hunk of plastic I don't already have on me so I see no reason to change a classic.
May check out some videos of the voice acting although medieval talking annoys me somewhat so id doubt id get much out of it.
Hades was the first game I bought for my Switch Lite (well okay BoTW, but Amazon is weird and it arrived days later) and will be the last full price purchase I ever make on a Nintendo system. I haven't seen a single frame drop either, which is impressive co sidering how bad the "official" slop has run.
This game is incredible and washes the nasty taste of artificial difficulty from my mouth that Suck Song left. Hades was a top 5 game in three decades for me and this one tops it in every way. Except maybe less gorgeous goddesses. Yeeesh on some of these new ones.
Smells like BS. There's nowhere for me to go except one fight I cant win.
Its a down grade in every single way and one of the few games I wish I could refund. Don't see myself coming back after cursing at that slop for a couple hours. Flying enemies on every screen meantto annoy? Artificial difficulty by simply doubling damage? Unnecessary long journeys back to bosses over and over and over? Gtfo with your crap.
The originals difficulty was perfect. They simply wanted to appease they whiney Dark Souls "git gud" type losers.
Lol wow. They really hate you and don't even hide it because they know you love plastic (or...cardboard in this case lmao) and the median IQ is low enough to make their FOMO kick in so theyll make bank.
The first game I've ever bought where within an hour I was actually looking to see if there was some hidden magical refund button.
Wow its slop. Overhyped long awaited...slop. Its a downgrade in basically every single way with added artificial difficulty (wee double damage) for no reason except to give the hardcore dark souls crowd a rubbery one.
I don't know if ill even bother again honestly, never cursed so much t horrible game design before. Nobody, NOBODY on the face of the planet thinks "man I hope this game has lots of small annoying flying enemies to knock you off things and hit you with cheap shots!". Nobody. But that's all this game is.
People often confuse difficulty with cheapness. Silksongs is cheapness by the buttload.
Its what annoyed me about HK and since I haven't unlocked anything make Hornet feel any more fluid than the original, less so with the weird diagonal attack, I die to cheap enemies. 2 hits and done from one mini boss this early on is...a bit silly.
bro we get it, we can buy a switch 2 for the same price as a Steam Deck and the 5 year old hardware will in fact run games better than 8 year old Switch 1 hardware.

I got persona 5 because I love Ann's design... played long enough to save Ann in the first palace and never touched it again lol. Mission Complete.
@Solid_Python Yeah expecting a current gen console to perform as well as a 10 year old last gen one is just silly. Such high expectations. Oh wait...

It looks like your typical mobile slop game now with its voiceless mouth moving stuff. Laughable in 2025 for one of the largest game companies around.

Deny all they want, we know they use dirty and often times illegal lawfare.
Weird how they accept money from US tax payers via our corrupt government to help study "man children" though. They don't deny that.

Pretty sure enough talk was had on the art style 7 years ago when the first came out. It hasn't changed so what is to be said?
Re: Here's When Hades 2 Releases In Your Time Zone
Wow and I wasted my money on Suck Song thinking this would be in beta for PC forever.
Still lost a lot of hype seeing PC players basically playing the full game for years now though anyway.
