Yeah, great game!!

Bought my 8 yr old son a Switch couple months ago for Xmas (honestly!!).... been sitting on top of wardrobe out of sight.... until last Friday!!! Couldnt resist Odyssey!! Feel kinda guilty as gonna play it all co op but HAD to play it! Simply the greatest celebration of all things Nintendo!! So much variety!! Collected couple hundred moons, defeated Bowser and got to Mushroom Kingdom .... then deleted my save file!!! Lots left to discover with the wee man... hopefully i'll have forgotten most of it come Xmas!!! Snes Mario World still the best sidescroller but Odyssey really is something truly exceptional!! Id even put it above Zelda for GotT (or maybe even best game ever!!)

Nintendo really need to think about what other companies like Sony mean by "SALE"! £1 or £2 off just doesnt seem like a much of a sale compared to PS Store! 2 months (sometimes a lot less) after PS4 games are released you can usually get them at 50 - 70% off in a PS Store sale!

Keep an eye on Hollow Knight if your a Metroid fan. Just 100% it (after 50+ hours)! BEST Metroidvania ive ever played!

Defo Snes all the way for me!! Great handling and tight tracks are a winner!!! Mastering cornering with each character was a challenge! Toad was always my fave!! Well balanced! Really wish someone would crack the rom open and create an 8 player online version of the original Snes game!!! 8 players, no rubberbanding ... thats the dream!!! Special mention to Battlemode course 4!!! Used to play that till the small hours with my best pal!!!

Dreadful design!! What is wrong with these companies. Sony revise Vita while promoting remote play as a big feature , , and still omit L2/R2/L3/R3 (all essential for PS4 remote play)! Nintendo, having had rotten feedback about "THE NUB", decide to revise 2DS with THE NUB", 2 years after people hated it on New3DS. Theres more than enough real estate on the right side for another thumb stick!! Also... 2DS ditched the clamshell to make it less likely that children would break it.... Its hard to see who this is aimed at. Adults and teens will more than likely purchase a 3DS model over 2DS anyway.

Thats the reason I never really "played" it for Master System in the traditional sense. Only ever used that WE5T ONE password repeatedly to get the character switch platform and mucked about with the different characters. Thought they might include it in this one! Playing the remaster just now .... it gets pretty challenging pretty quickly!!

I thought it was simple. Took a while to chip away at the Hinox... just stood on an out-of-reach rock and repeatedly bombed him for 15 mins, more of a chore than anything! Rest was simple!

@Steven_the_2nd So create a single card ... that combines the characteristics of two cards, and format it to 80GB.... or a 32GB Card and an 8GB card and create a 40GB partition for Switch!

Thats weird... I bought a pro duo double micro sd adapter for psp. Put in a 64gb and 16gb card. Made it into one 80GB partition .... my computer read it as a single 80GB memory card with zero problems!

I never understand why memory cards only come with certain amounts. Why the jump from 64GB to 128GB? What happened to 80GB/96GB/112GB? Or, if you're making a console with 32GB, custom make 38GB storage so you have 32GB clear for games! It surely cant be that hard!

.... no more than a Wii with 2 controllers could. The Wii U gamepad features had a better chance of reviving local multiplayer ... no one was interested. As the individual Joycons are severely lacking in an industry standard suite of buttons (No L2/R2/Right analogue stick-seriously.... again Nintendo!!!???), I doubt very much will change!

Zelda DLC inevitable???!! What??? How about Nintendo just make a Zelda game in the traditional manner ... ie ... a core game ...END OF!!! Nothing inevitable about it!! I play a game for the single experience, especially in Zelda games!! Nintendo have just released the poorest selling/poorest supported/poorest deal for the consumer-console they've ever produced. The last thing they need is cause for any more cynicism regarding their brand or most valuable IPs! Don't know why Zelda DLC is necessary at all. Its never been missed/requested in previous Zelda games!

Joy-cons really are awfully designed. After 3DS/Vita I swore id NEVER buy another console WITHOUT a full suite of industry standard (for almost 20 years!!) buttons!! 3DS lacked a 2nd analogue (SERIOUSLY!!!???) and Vita's lack of L2/R2 has completely ruined PS4 remote play! Really dont fancy playing Fifa/FPS games in Switch's desktop mode with 1 analogue and no L2/R2! You'll need 2 Joy-con circle pad pros for a decent desktop mode experience!! Wish they'd just ditched the 3D Rumble/distance sensor gimmicky crap and gave us 2 decent, traditional Joy-con controllers!

Dont fancy this in tabletop mode!! I'll need to buy 2 Joy-Con circle pad pros!!!

Ive owned a Wii U and 3ds since launch. . . I have absolutely no idea what mii verse is. .. nor do I want to. Im guessing its the stupid thing that lets people create speech bubbles and other crap that interupts a game session with inane, irrelevent drivel? Why would anyone want to read what other people think about part of a game .... over and over??!! (Unless they're under 8 yrs old)!! Now all we have to do is get shot of this cynical amiibo cashcow and Ninty will be back on track!!!

No. Not really. I own a Wii U and Mario Kart 8. My Wii U is basically finished after March 3rd!! I'm one of the customers (suckers) keeping Nintendo ticking over these last 4 years having bought many retail games! I might think about buying a Switch. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe IS NOT A NEW GAME! Its a 3 YEAR OLD GAME with very little new content! Ive barely had a game to play on Wii U for 2 YEARS!!! Theres no flaw in my logic... I'm a lifelong Nintendo diehard who's at the end of the line with them. If Nintendo wants me to upgrade to Switch after enduring 4 years of the worst performing console EVER, they better be giving me some incentive. Charging £50 for as 3 year old game I already own IS NOT THE WAY TO DO IT!!!

I think its dreadful that there is no mention of cross-buy on Zelda and FREE upgrades for ALL Wii U owners for upcoming Switch-Wii U ports that Wii U owners have already bought. If Reggie thinks Wii U has been bad for Ninty its been worse for Wii U owners. These are the Nintendo die hards that have kept sales ticking over, despite a terrible games drought, especially over last two years. Whats wrong with
a) rewarding their MOST LOYAL fans for their patience and understanding, and
b) giving Wii U owners a reason/incentive to upgrade.
Capcom have just announced Cross Buy for Resident Evil 7 accross two seperate platforms (PC and XB1)! Yet Ninty wont do it for their own loyal fans!! Im constantly surprised by the amount of PS4 games I purchase that are automatically added to my Vita download list as soon as a Vita port is finished, at no extra cost. Ive never missed a Nintendo console, usually a day one purchase for me - but, if they're expecting me to pay for Mario Kart 8 again.... im officially done.

I'll be playing it as my young son watches... English for us then. Nice not to have to read every line of text out to him. If I was playing alone id prob opt for Japanese with eng subs.

Bonkers decision. Almost as bad as 1 analogue and no l2/r2 on original 3ds (despite both being industry standard for 15 years!!!???). If you're copying a system, the FIRST (easiest) thing you need to get right is the buttons!! Renders the system DOA!!! Useless!!

Would have to have Rom compatibility for me to be interested! Fair to say L/R seem to be "slightly" misplaced!!

I dont even see why anyone would buy this... I dont want a nes... never have done. Certainly wouldnt touch a mini nes or see any reason for it to even exist. My PC/Wii/WiiU/PS3/3DS/Phone all have modern controllers and full perfect nes romsets .... that I NEVER and prob will never play. Cant understand the interest this seems to generate.

Disappointing!!! The dual screen worked well for so many games. Playing Pikmin 3 just now with my 7 yr old son ... who acts as navigator with the Wii U pad screen while I use the nunchuk combo to control.... i'll certainly miss that function. Really wanted more split multiplayer on Wii U ... nothing notable ever came out after Nintendoland... not even MarioKart had a gamepad/tele split screen mode.

That wouldve been a game changer for me. Playing scary regular games like Outlast and P.T. on the PSVR (ie replacing ill-designed Vita as my go to remote play device) was something I was reaaly looking forward to. As was watching movies with my personal cinema screen. Given the drop in resolution, I prob wont purchase one now. I wouldve happily paid an extra £100 for a perfect cinematic mode.

Loved Miracle World ... Never got anywhere near to completing it back in '89. Way too hard - those bloody "Janken" matches!! Completed it on my 3DS last week (along with tons of others that were too hard) using savestates .... best part is it has a rewind button so you can effectively "load" the dice with Janken!! Shinobi World was good too but only lasts about 30 mins. Hi-Tech World was atrocious.... They show you a snippet of a cool looking Ninja Forest level on the title screen ... which you only get to by finding lost map pieces around some oriental castle. (Its far worse than it sounds!!) ... if you do "accidentally" get to aforementioned cool looking Ninja Forest, you discover that its FAR worse than the sheer awfulness first level!! ... best not even mention Lost Stars or BMX game!!

I wouldnt even touch this monstrosity with my Gateway cart!!!

Cracking game... Shoulder to shoulder with Zero Mission and Fusion and infinitely better than the dull GB original!! Surely now the game is "out there" it'll stay that way, on romsites etc. I downloaded it a while after the initial desist order.

That looks worse than the previous one. These removable buttons are a bonkers, DoA idea!!! I have never, ever desired to play two player games on a handheld/phone/tablet! If I was playing the multiplayer NX on the tele I would surely be using a second full controller. I love the idea of the handheld/home console hybrid - the thought of something to match Vita/PS4 remote play yet be fully portable (without relying on wifi) is a great idea BUT from the rumours ive heard the NX seems to be competing in the mobile phone market ... if thats the case i'll probably skip it! If it offers proper home console experience and is more powerful than Wii U ..... I'M IN!!

Rotten concept... Who wants 2 player on something the size of a mobile phone??!! I'm all for the portable aspect but removable buttons???!!! .... Um .... NO!!!!

... Gotta say ... really enjoying it so far. Just found the 2nd lot of Metroids and got the Varia suit! Infinitley better than Metroid 2, which is pretty pants in all honesty. The monochrome GB display never lent much character to the samey backgrounds. This on the other hand - as varied and as power up heavy as any Metroid ive played.

Hate Nintendo for what? I downloaded it today. Its kind of "OUT THERE" now!! Prob thousands sharing it on Google Drive! Really enjoying it. Glad its styled on the 2 GBA games. Really enjoying it so far. Find it odd that Nintendo has more of a problem with this than all the torrent sites and rom sites that offer free games!

Erm.... it doesnt exactly grab you, does it. Looks incredibly monotonous! I love Metroid BUT my least favourite of the series by a mile were the Prime games. I just never thought it translated that well into 3D. Actually really loved Other M and just completed it again last week .... still love it. But this looks far worse than Hunters... a game Ive started umpteen times and just dont enjoy it!! Hope Fed Force is better than it looks but defo not for me!!

Im not happy ... focus seems to be on competing with the mobile phone market! I want a modern powerful home console base with a removable portable unit! Really hope this splitting up the controls thing is a rumour. I have no interest in playing 2 player games on something far smaller than a 7" tablet! As for power- Playing Last of Us on Vita just now (bought the L2/R2 attachment) and it runs perfectly ... actually plays the same (great!!)and looks much sharper on the Vitas OLED screen. If I was buying an NX it would have to offer a similar or preferably better experience to the PS4's remote play! Ive got a phone if I want to play mobile games ... I dont!!!
AND I HOPE THEYVE LEARNED THEIR LESSON FROM SONY VITA'S AND 3DS's MISTAKES. EVERY CONSOLE SINCE ABOUT 2000 HAS NEEDED A FULL SUITE OF (INDUSTRY STANDARD FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS) BUTTONS. Absolutely nothing wrong with the name. "Wii U - A New Console From Nintendo"!!! Whats there to be confused about? Its much less confusing than Xbox 1 or , the worst offender, "New 3DS"... Try searching for one on eBay!!! Still love my Wii U and have no problem with the Gamepad ... Nintendo just couldn't find games to utilise it uniquely!! Gonna hang on to it anyway. If those NX mock drawings are at all accurate, Wii U might STILL be the best way to experience Zelda:BotW!!!

That mock drawing is a real turn-off! Who the hell wants to play multiplayer on a screen the size of a mobile phone! And the way that controller seems to split, ultimately halving the buttons that just about every modern game utilises would be a major mistake! Well need 2 circle pad pros now!!! The only devs that would be interested in that are mobile game devs!!! This doesn't seem to be aimed at the home console market. They seem to be tryin to cross over into the phone market .. which is baffling. Hope all these rumours aren't true.
