Nintendo has released its latest trailer for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, giving us a quick overview of all the changes you'll be able to spot on your island this month.
Naturally, March sees the return of Spring on your island (for those playing in the Northern Hemisphere, at least), so it's time to say 'bye bye' to the snow and welcome back the warmer weather.
Perhaps even more exciting, though, is the arrival of new Mario items that can be placed all over your humble abode. The new goodies can be ordered from Nook Shopping and will be a perfect accompaniment for Mario Day taking place on March 10th. New Shamrock items are also available ahead of Shamrock Day on the 17th.
And finally, as always, there's a new roster of critters to catch. Our always-evolving guide lists all of the fish and bugs available each month, so make sure to check that out if you don't want to miss anything.
Let us know how you're getting on with the game in the comments – are those Mario items calling to you?

I've purchased about 15 of the new items. It's hard when they drop 33 new items on us in 1 day but limit us to only 5 items per day. And obviously you need to purchase more than 1 pipe to travel anywhere, so it's really more like 34.
Would have bene nice if they let Mabel sell the costumes in her store. Or the Rat Bros. sell some stuff in their store.
But they got me playing again every day, so they win.
Don't miss out on the "pi pie", it's adorable.
@rjejr I like to put a pipe in my basement and carry another around with me for instant access to my house.
I'm soooo glad the snow has gone! Winter is definitely my least favourite season in the game. My island looks beautiful again.
For the one year anniversary it's a little dull, but the new furniture is decent enough.
...and by the time I've ordered it all March will probably be over
@Clyde_Radcliffe Got any pictures? I would like to take some tips and hints from them
@Giygas_95 On the 2nd day, when I got my 2nd pipe, I realized if I just carry a pipe around w/ me and keep 1 in my house I can jump home whenever I want. Then I thought it wouldn't work b/c Id' just have random pipes all over my island. Then my wife said - no, you just jump back and get it after doing what you need to do in your house. Which would work when carrying too much stuff, but not when I turn off when done. So it's like a 50-50 thing, but worth carrying 1 around and putting 1 in the house. Or maybe just outside the front door so it's there next time I play. Still working out the deets, but never look a fast travel gift horse in the mouth.
@rjejr As we discussed in a previous article, it actually did solve my incline problem. I can come and go from my house without having to use my ladder now.
@Giygas_95 Yeah, definitely a good thing for those hard to reach spots. I am curious to have 4 or 5 and see just how random random is. Maybe I'll just buy pipes today. 🤔

I really hope they do something big for the anniversary. Probably just gift us a hat.
@GC-161 It's raining on my island right now so doesn't look so nice, but here's an Asian restaurant in my top floor based on my favourite Chinese restaurant in London. I went through a phase of collecting posters of New Leaf characters so used them to decorate the wall.

@Clyde_Radcliffe Cool photo ! How did you get the posters from Resetti and that cop whose name I don't remember (and the monkey... and rover)? Amiibos?
@echoplex Thanks! Most of them I got by trading with people on Reddit and a few of them I brought their Amiibos on eBay.
@Giygas_95 I didn't even think about the pipe working inside. I think I might need to do this. I bought 4 pipes from the get go to see how they worked. I have other players on my island so I wouldn't be the only one with one. Might still be faster to enter my house even if I have to jump 2 pipes though...
@MrGuinea It might or might not be faster. The destination is random.
Never thought about using the warp pipe as fast travel by carrying one around. That’s good tip!
@rjejr rat bros?
@Clyde_Radcliffe Ah that looks nice.
Thank you.
@1ofUs Yeah, I started calling them that after about 2 weeks of nightly selling them stuff I finally read the last page of the drop off description and realized they were ripping me off 20% per night. So rats. And bros b/c Smash Bros. Hence Rat Bros. 😁
Nintendo stop wasting our time with this itens, where is Brewster and Kapp'n and QOL improvements such as Bulk Crafting or a shopping options in Able Sisters and Nook Cranny?😡😡😡
