First time in awhile to my knowledge that the 3ds models put together did not get top spot.

I get home late at night since I have the swing shift at work and when I do I play Splatoon online. I have not had any connection problems personally and if anything playing against Japanese players (which are the only people I play against usually in the middle of the night here in Oregon) has made me a better player. I like the huge communtiy feeling to with Splatoon when I play with players around the world. During Splatfest (the most recent one was my first one) everything seemed a little dead for some reason without those players.

Out of all Nintendo's popular franchises Metroid is really the only one that makes sense going the more realistic graphics route because it is not as cartoony. (Not saying that is bad at all just the only franchise Nintendo has that has this type of art style). Kind of odd that the maker of this didn't choose some sort of space map. I figure they just downloaded a random map online that was public domain but surely there had to be a space map they were allowed to use somewhere.

I don't see this as a big deal seeing as most people who get amiibos do so for collecting purposes.

I really don't see why people are freaking out about this. This is the most harmless hack you can do and I would argue does things that the 3ds should already have with custom themes and region free. There have been worse hacks I have seen that actually allow pircay and in pokemon's case go through the files and make cheat mons. It sucks Ironfall was taken off the eshop but I feel Nintendo will put it back up soon with a new update. The 3ds is four years old now so this was going to happen eventually so we should just be thankful the guy who figured it out is against piracy.

@JLPick This only allows honebrew and region free games though. The developer of this made sure it won't allow piracy and did not release the exploit till he was sure of it.

I don't see this being as big of a deal of using a boss weapon against them since you can do it always in Wily Castle stages during the rematches. That is how I always beat Metal Man. (1-2 hits depending on the difficulty dead using his weapon on him).

I hope the controls are not awkward. I loved the PC version of Terraria and would love to have it on the go. I actually have the smart phone version but that version uses touch controls only which I have never been a fan of and I don't have a vita yet.

I'm just going to throw this out there and say maybe making the systems not region locked might help.
In some ways I agree with his points like Captain Rainbow where as interesting as that game looked I doubt it would make its money back. On the other hand though remember when NOA still refused to publish Xenoblade for forever in America despite it doing well in other regions and english voice acting already been done in Europe? Mother 3 can't be to hard now with digital distribution (I understand not releasing it when the gba was dying but now fans have translated it and I bet would be happy to give Nintendo the translation for free). Heck digital distribution now makes it so all you need is subtitles and the people who want that game can buy it with little risk to the company.
I understand Nintendo is a company who wants profits and not all these games will be million sellers but there are a few extra options to keep it cheap. Especially with digital distribution now or not region locking the system the game that is already made can still come out to the minority who want it.
(Also I remember reading somewhere Nintendo didn't want to bring smash 64 to the states since they thought mascot fighters would not do well in other regions. Can you imagine how bad that would be if that happened?).

I don't have the game but the more it can get improved the better and hey I might buy it if the updates fix major issues I have.

Kinda makes me wonder how long in general the toys to life genre is going to last. Don't get me wrong obviously Infinity 2 sold well enough to warrant a squeal so I don't think that like tomorrow the whole genre is going to crash but with there now being 4 big competeitors with amiibos, inifinty, skylanders, and Lego I feel eventually the market will get to oversatuarated. Then again I'm not a Economist so what do I really know.
All I know is I'm buying for sure more amiibos eventually and even though I doubt I will get the games any Portal legos for dimensions would be cool to have and Mabel for infinity figuring she won the character poll. It is funny I'm not even a collector of figurines but these few have managed to hit me in the right spot.

It is better to delay the game I guess but ugh Inafune. This whole thing has been super shady with you and Comcept. My biggest thing is rather than being honest you release the Red Ash kickstarter (and there is a ton of shady stuff just in that kickstarter) trying to get money from your fans before announcing the delay and then right at the end (of the Red Ash kickstarter) announce it will get funded anyways by another company.
This is my question though. Since the game was not going to have online features (to my knowledge) originally why not do a Shovel Knight and release features after the game's release (for free of course). That way you hit your target date and when the new content in ready to be patched in (and if it is a good game) the fans would be excited that a game they have is getting more content, you guys fulfill your promise, and the game gets a little extra push in publicity thanks to sites like Nintendo Life saying Mighty No. 9 is getting more stuff for free. Everybody is happy and the end.

Used it once and it crashed on me. Never bothered to use it again. I'm sure some people liked it and it is not like I was waiting for the day it would die. For me it is the removal of a button I never used and never had any use for.

You know that feeling you get when you are watching your favorite show and they mention the place near you live? I have that feeling right now since one of my favorite websites mentioned the Oregonian lol.

@97alexk Do yu mean people commenting Nintendo going 3rd party or it doesnt make sense people would make those comments to begin with. Either way I have already have seen the comments. It is just people not reading articles to see Nintendo is not even publishing the PC version. I'm not saying their comments will make sense just saying there will be comments.

Now we just wait for the comments on YouTube and other sites saying this proves Nintendo is going 3rd party.

@Porky Yeah let's kill off the series that gives Nintendo tons of money and at the same time makes millions of people happy.

There are few things in the world that get me more excited than a new pokemon getting revealed. I wonder since next year is the 20th anniversary of the series if they will do something special or if it is going to be more underwhelming of a reveal like X2/Y2 or Z.

I had no interest in I've Got to Run but for 1 cent on wiiu and 10 cents on 3ds I might as well get it. Watch this game go to the top of the charts this week because of that.
Nice for the person who made this game though to put in on sale in honor of Iwata. Even if it was not selling well (most likley the poor review scores if that is the case) it takes a lot of character to do that and I can respect that.

If this is true my question is why not put it on the eshop. Sure the quality excuse but might as well at least throw it on there and if one person buys it that would be one more sale than you would of gotten.

Great now I'm scared of spoilers (Thanks to those who covered theirs up) because knowing the internet I'll just be playing a game or reading an article completely unrelated and then some random person will post "Remember that time when the main character stabs himself to save the rainbow squid" and I will be sad.

This review sounded a little harsh. The only other games on this site (and yeah I know different reviewers) that have gotten a 1 are the broken ones. I'm not saying it seems like a good game at all but ouch.

I really hope they have enough stock for Dark Pit but since it seems like every amiibo I really want becomes rare I guess I'm not getting him.

I'm actually at Disneyland California right now and in the second park (California Adventure) they have a Oswald giftshop. Also there was a Oswald costume taking pictures with people. I'm honestly surprised they gave Oswald so much since he is a obsucure character but there was a line to see him and there were kids with Oswald ears so I guess he is popular enough.

I know we already have a lot of pokemon but I really want one of generations not represented (2,3, and 5) to get a representative. One of the generation three starters would work best most likely.
Also, this one is never going to happen but I would freak out if Quote from Cavestory or Shovel Knight got in.
As for actually realistic King K. Rool (though I don't have much experience with the DK Country games) would be awesome as well as another Zelda Villain like Ghirahim (Though he is an assist trophy but someone somewhere).

While I see where Nintendo is coming from I'm afraid for families.

I just hope for once the pokemon amiibos can finally be used outside of smash...

I feel like they should of just made it a new IP "inspired" by Metroid. Really this whole issue is because of the name. Though I was not happy to see this announcement (and animal crossing amiibos festival) I'll give these games a chance. We saw only a trailer and still have time till the final games come out. The reaction to Blast Ball before the Metroid name on it was fine so I feel like fans overreacted this time.
Metroid fans look at this way. At least Nintendo aknowledges Metroid exists. For Mega Man all that Capcom has been doing is make a really, really bad anniversary ios game and recently a anniversary collection for the first six Mega Man games which most fans own in some form.

Seems odd actually to leave the wiiu version out. You would think of all console fan bases the nintendo fan base would be the most interested in something like this. Whatever though I'm no business man maybe a wiiu special version would not be a good idea?

I don't care for FIFA (or most sports games in general) but while this won't affect me it does hurt the wiiu. These games are so popular and it would not hurt wiiu sales to have it.

While I am not mad Minecraft and Angry Birds are on this list (Minecraft is one of my all time favorite games) I feel like they still need time before we can consider them on a hall of fame. 10 years ago there were games that could of made it into a hall of fame that would never now. I feel like we need time to truley see a game's impact.

I only downloaded this to see what it would be like. I stopped playing a long time ago and didn't spend any money.

I'm so nostalgic of this game. My little brother got a ds and this game for Christmas one year and hated it so I asked if I could have it. I played it on his ds whenever he was not playing on it till I got a ds the next year. I do think the original is better but this game will always have a bigger place in my heart.

For me personally I feel like Mario 64 (and a lot of games in that era) has not aged the best. It was one of the first 3d games on a console though so you kinda expect that to be the case. I still think personally that it is a great game but more of a 8/10.
I feel like Sunshine was better than 64 with the imporments but opinions you know.

Though the costumes are cool I won't be buying all of them. $9.20 for all the costumes is kinda ridicolous. I'm also confused why the bundle overall cost the same as buying them all seperatly.

While many kids should not play mature games/ media in general there are some that actually can handle such content. These kids can be respectful of the subject matter. I say that it is the parent's decision if they think their kids can handle the subject matter. There are some 18 year olds who honestly can't handle this stuff but at the same time some 12 years old can handle it really well and much better than the older crowd. Contacting authorities over this is silly at least in my opinion.

Lol I was just going through the article list and saw that fan made announcement picture and got so excited then I looked at the title.
I personally would not mind having him in at all. I mean when I first started playing smash bros. as a kid (melee) I had no clue who the fire emblem guys were, the older characters like game and clue were, and as much as I love the series now I didn't even know who the Loz characters were.
Smash bros. is a gateway to a lot of series for a lot of people so I'm sure people would not mind. Heck we are not clueless of this game existence wasn't it a minigame in Nintendo land?
The reason most likely he was cut was because they could only make so many characters during development and like Samurai said many characters had to be cut. It is a shame and though I wouldn't mind seeing the character I won't get mad over it. Besides maybe he could be added later cough dlc cough.

I downloaded this game awhile ago and it was fun but the free to play concept in this game really kills it. If it was the full game or you could unlock a microtransactions free version for like $10-$15 I might actually consider it.

If you have a nes and don't care what platform it is on might as well get it on nes. I don't know about everywhere else but in the USA I got mine for $3.

It is nice to see that the 3ds was given back. A couple of years ago my friend's 3ds was stolen and he never was able to get it back. I remember trying to contact his 3ds through swapnote hoping for a slim chance that a honest person got their hands on it and would check swapnote.

@kensredemption There are good Sony and Microsoft fans and there are mean Nintendo fans. It is really unfair to catgerogrize a whole group of people like that. The few that are mean in any group always have the loudest voices of the group.

I live in America and I personally used tvii only once and that was when I got my wiiu. I wish the anime channel came over here.

Though I only checked in every now and then I love twitch plays Pokemon. Really excited about is coming back.

If it gets good reviews I wouldn't mind getting it.
