@Mattlong78 after I sold some GameCube games to buy Wii games…I never sell anything back now. Some of those games I sold I can’t justify replacing now. What annoys me about GKCs are just that it takes up space. I would buy some Games on switch instead of the other two just to not have to worry about shifting games around. I know that’s ridiculous but it bothers me to the point I have not bought one yet.
@Member_the_game I think that is well said…if you have never played these games…you likely don’t have a Wii or WiiU in the house for whatever reason, heck..most of us are getting kind of old now and players may just be young. I kind of force my kids to play some classics…they always love it haha.
The price is hard. I have been thinking for a while…it takes several years for culture to change. What we are seeing now is the culture of the new president finally taking root. He is a businessman, a true CEO style talent. Iwata…he was talented in those areas but he was a gamer and developer too. Lots of stories about him coming in and fixing coding issues. I work with the fire department. What is unique about the fire department is your boss…whether officer or chief did your job…they all did. It’s one of the reasons it’s a family. Iwata had done the job. Nintendo still has talented developers who do good things. But it’s been a while since Iwata. And culture shifts. Anyway sorry for the weird take on the price…it’s not always cause the company is “greedy” it’s just flat out different philosophy. Leadership matters.
@BaldB3lper78 yes, I have enjoyed my switch 2 a lot. But every now and again… I played most of Elden Ring on PS4 before I had got the PS5. I expect it to run like it did on that system. Which was a solid and stable experience for me. What we are hearing is not that…we know that it should produce visuals on par with the PS4. So who knows. I’m not one to hop on developers are lazy train, but maybe with some more time it will look different when it releases.
@Arcsol I agree. You feel like you’re just getting warmed up on the track and it ends. I truly don’t mind the intermission stuff. Now am I as fast on that as I am on a course? No way. But if I can make it through the absolute melee enroute to the track in say…top 10? I tend to have a chance to finish higher. But just doing two laps would help it a lot.

We have mostly played in docked mode. But before heading to work this morning I played one Grand prix and noticed I was at 92% when I put it back in the dock. I did remember thinking that was a pretty big drop for just a few minutes of play.
@axelhander what bothers me about it is we could remap N64 controls on the WiiU. That’s what made it playable. I’m a sucker, so I got the N64 controller when it finally became available, but it’s unplayable without them. I’m glad they got to it, but I think it was to force us to buy the controller.
I wanted this on switch 2…loved it takes two. But when I saw the file size was 71 gigs with nothing on the game card, we just bought it on the PS5. I hate playing the download and redownload games we have all been playing by for years. My wife and I have had a very good time with it though, so I do suggest it if you have someone to play with you.
I no longer trade anything in. After wanting to buy all those hot Wii games and trading in what turned into GameCube games you basically can’t replace..I have learned my lesson and keep all physical media. Even regret trading the Wii, even though the library lives on in the WiiU. But my switch is a launch switch and even though it was treated with love…no way it gets half of the 100. It’s so beat up.
I stayed up late last night trying to get it online and it was an awful. I just went to my local GameStop this morning and they had 35MK bundles and 15 switch 2 only. Everyone in line was pleasant and GameStop made it as fun as possible. I also did not have to drop the whole 500 at once so it was a successful, albeit long morning for me. Line lasted about an hour and a half.
@carlos82 dude for real! We ordered pizza the other day for like 70 with no drinks after tip. But my family has played MK8 since the WiiU days…we were very good when it first came out on the switch . Anyway the point is we have played that game off and on for years and years. 80 bucks sucks but when compared to how long my whole family will play it, and what it cost to order two pizza’s and breadsticks, I’m okay with what I’m getting for it.
I felt like it would stay just for the chat and camera functions. My son face times with all his friends when they play games anyway, so it’s cool it’s within the system. I do not however want my 14 or 10 year old video chatting with strangers. So I figured it would be like that.
@Jarl76 I always think about that. What I enjoy about the older games is they have some more replay ability. I can’t tell you how many times I have replayed OoT over the years. I have probably played them all a few times at the very least. I am in the camp that thinks BOTW and ToTK are superior and amazing games. I did play breath through master mode, but they are so big it’s hard to just play through the story randomly when you get the itch to revisit it.
@Banjo2ee I appreciate what you’re doing. I am one that does not put nor should any of us all our hope in Political figures. I lean right on most things and did vote for him. I’m not an idiot or a racist and I have a joy for life. I have my reasons. The last admin triggered me big time with Biden. I have been a firefighter for 20 years and have spent tons of time in nursing homes. I’m well aware of how those act with mental disability and I have seen abuse first hand. So the angry comments were bothering me a little. Guys we are on this site because we all have a common love for games. Prices are an issue for us all and hopefully the tariffs don’t affect it but we will see. If we can’t listen to each other and resort to instant name calling the world won’t get better. It’s not on our elected officials it’s really on us. I hope the prices don’t rise for you guys or us and you can enjoy the switch 2. It looks awesome. Love you guys.
It's a cool design, I get why you guys are worried. I have never had problems with guns, I have a problem with people spending 1500 dollars on a gun and getting no training. I rather people buy a 500 dollar gun and spend 1000 on training. And just be responsible with storing and handeling them...plenty of people are. Some are not.

@SmithJurd I went on a little rant like this yesterday...the game is meant for 30 fps...that's perfectly fine...I get the price complaints....but it made me wonder if gamers today would find my classic games on my classic systems unplayable....but if you think about them growing up on Captain Price instead of King Koopa...COD needs 60fps....heck I played tons of quake 3 arena, which is and prob still is faster than anything these kids play....I'm ranting again...yes they look at the numbers to much...I'm stoked to play the game again, my Wii version was played so much by multiple people it flat out no longer works...and I like the Nintendo box my WiiU has become

Maybe it's all about the price...something faithful to the original was prob still the goal..for whatever reason you want to site. Filling out a release schedule on a dying system...that I have enjoyed so much...I was only asking the developing question cause I have no clue...I played baseball for to long and have spent the last 10 years of my life riding a fire engine or in the back of an ambulance...when you are a part of some peoples worst moments or sometimes final moments, I can get aggravated when people worry so much about things like frame rates. @Yorumi do we know enough about developing to know if it is lazy? I mean for real? How big is tantalus? I know they did funky barn. I just kinda got on a rant that 30 fps was the target those drops aren't really drops...not significant anyway..was it ever any doubt that it was going to be an upscaled port? Is the real problem expectations? I never expected it to be at 60... I did expect 1080 though. They have added things to the game, tried to improve the experience...it will be fine...I did read the comments....I heard whining lol...but again I'm prob just a grumpy old dude now...but at least everyone is passionate about it.
Can I whine about you guys a little? Those dips are nothing...the game is a very sustainable 30 FPS....60 fps is not needed in every game....splatoon, Mario kart, halo, call of duty...all are games that need to run at 60 frames....does anyone know what fallout runs at? Most of their games shoot for 30...and most of their games have major dips....are you guys just to young to not look past numbers? If I toss in my snes or n64 would it be unplayable to you....does a persons slightly elevated blood pressure mean they have high blood pressure if they are excited and in the back of an ambulance? I have not read comments yet...but will in a second...I have a 46 in TV in the living room...I have perfect vision, the eye doctor told me that so long as I keep my diabetes under control it will prob stay that way...with that said...instead of sitting on the couch which is closer than 10 feet away...I sit on the dang coffee table which is much closer...just to read it a little better...I can read it from the couch, but I have to focus a little more instead of just skimming...so it's an issues for a 31 year old without eye problems, so anyone who has a few more issues with their eyesight...I feel would be a little aggrievated by it.
Well Maybe it took to long to come out? Maybe people lost interest? I'll say I was not as hyped about it until it got to about a month and a half away. I also finished the original in that time frame...took like 106 hours over a long period of time. Long story short I can not get enough of X. I just think that's the market of the U.K. I feel like it's you guys on this site and whoever runs MyNintendo news. The WiiU has its issues but it's a severely underrated box with great games...yeah we can't play some of the awesome games in the other systems finally coming around but that's part of it. I think it will be remembered foundly. That said...without sounding egotistical..I'm very diverse with my games, I enjoy Nintendo games...they are not kitty, I hate that saying...but yes my daughter who is five wrecks in splatoon...and she can watch me play these games vrs some of the other ones which do have awesome content...that just grinds me up...it's not very mature of this 31 year old to say crap like this....but I'm not a very kiddie guy, my job is not kiddie, I can out run people, I can out lift people...and I can hit the ever living day lights out of a softball...yes many people are much better than me at lots of things...but when this punk kid comes up and tells me something is kiddie when I can grind these guys into dust I get very upset....now that I look like a capital Ego douche bag if that's what you like great, cause I like those games too. I don't know if people remember what a ps2 game looked like...I just played through XC...took me a year and a half, and over 100 hours...that tech looked like a ps2 game...and I was so lost in environments that I never ever thought this looks like poop...if we are going to say we are a gameplay first community lets back that up...not saying don't want good or crisp graphics, but all these games look good now...I mean they really do.

I don't get the fuss really, cirtain games have cirtain styles, I think this one looks just as it should...they have added the extra details to the water and ships that people complained about...looks like a PS2 game? I don't know what kinda of crack people have been smoking...this looks great, runs at 60 fps, on two screens and when this is in motion it's going to look good....
@MoonKnight7 hey man I'm with you...I never would have said it last year. The Wii U is a strange case...the 3rd party support or lack of it makes waiting on a game like Zelda painful. It makes the lack of games more noticeable as they shift resources to the NX... So here I have this system, that has some of the best games I have played on it, and no one bought it. Games are finally getting good on the other two... Finally, but it's tough watching something that I have personally enjoyed die..sorry for rambling, I'm a little sleepy
I'm surprised everyone is so upset with the game they where asking for...look resident Evil 4 looked better one Wii than its high definition brother on the ps360...this looks much better, pop in your Wii version....however the HD will prob expose some lower polygon counts..this happened in RE4HD....this is why they picked Wind waker, they added very little detail to the models in that game...it simply did not need it. WW used the game pad extensively and creatively if you wanted it, I am sure this one will too. I normally have faith in the Nintendo faithful, but the random sort of backlash from this upsets me a little. Maybe it's nothing, or maybe we should just be thankful for what we asked.
@zeldagaymer93 agreed...in my profession, a fireman is very much in the public eye. And a lot of times the guys that get let go are the guys who have a documented history of problems or progressive discipline, and if your on thin ice...it does not take much..small violation of policy, or something slightly offensive and you give them the opportunity to remove a problem child you have not been able to....the comments he made are like a hand slap to me, really not that bad...I hope there was more to it but who knows

@Jazzer94 yes the gameplay was very fun...I was okay with the story, make samus more human..that's fine...but don't make her a wuss....surprise, feelings whatever is fine...I'm a fire fighter and some of the toughest guys I know have to sit and talk through some stuff sometimes...it was the very animie/wuss presence that ppl did not like...I say all that and I could have just said I agree..hehe
Federation force will be fine, ppl need to chill it will be fun..it may feel more like metroid in its boss fights and puzzles...but we will see

I do not remember where I read it...but it talked about the learning curve of motion control gaming, those that took the time to learn it, grow found of it and are very good at it...others...and I have personally witnessed this, will try for 3 seconds and toss it down saying this sucks! So then they miss out on one of the better games of a generation because of their own mindset...they think if they are good at games it automatically translates...but it does not...I forced my buddy to learns splatoon as intended and after about 30 mins of struggle( he is not really all that good at any games but like then) he started to love the controls and it helped him become a better player at that type of game... I also notice and it may not mean anything...I feel like ppl who have a curtain touch in athletics, like a smooth short stop, or great free throw shooter pick up motion controls better...does not mean they are better...just an easier learning curve
@blujay1524 well it has been awhile since I have played Melee, he may be more similar to Marth than I remember...but when brawl came out and Ike's neutral B was the same...and I remember Roy hitting a little harder than marth...I assumed we would not see Roy again...because Ike covered all his defining moves, and then some....maybe I should have said Ike is a more of a redefinition of Roy's few unique moves he had...but I may have to watch a video of Roy gameplay to remind myself.
I have my game, my four year old an I played an loved the test fire...my game pads right analog stick has been stuck in for some time which makes games where you use it almost unplayable.. Splatoon a motion aiming really helped with that probelm...but I sent it in for repair last week....it passed my house yesterday to get to a hub...and now the wait is for Monday since UPS does not roll on sat...that said while our house built we where at the in laws house...13 ppl, I had got over how they did not take care of my Gamepad while I was on duty at the fire house...now I'm aggravated again...my four year old as asked me every hour for the lat two days if the Gamepad was here....I have a pro...but it's only usable in 1 v 1 correct?
@bizcuthammer I just mentioned halo 5 beta...did not want to get into the heart break of Halo MCC....that could have been amazing...and if I have a patient day with nothing to do it still can be...that game breaks my heart
@Luna_110 this happend with Wonderful 101, the staff did not know it was out even....I had to tell them. That said, let me get one old man comment out of the way....I'm 31...apparently I'm also patient...I play lots of games amoung other things....the over reactions...one bad eliminates three fantastic experiences? I could not try to play Saturday but my Gamepad was sent for repair in perp for Friday...anyway it could be just me but I fill like the younger generation is by far less patient, understanding and selfish...those are things we all struggle with but I do see it as a probelm.. I wonder how many of the over reactions are in relation to that...an inability to look at a positive side with anything. It's a beta, the Halo 5 beta was great when it worked....but it had countless bugs and issues connecting...so calm down...it will be fine...sorry if I came across as sort of a DB.
I scanned as quickly in comments as I could, no probelm with Diddy, but I have had issues in for Glory mode against Charizard...specifically two on two....and both opposing players use him on the flat smaller surface....really have not had issues with him on normal stages with items...anyone notice a probelm with his side special? I know it causes him damage and that's the trade but when your dead it does not matter
@Luffymcduck Yeah I only just got a 3DS, my first hand held....I played new super mario 2...it was only the third version I have played. Cause I have always have consoles and had played both on wii(one in 7 years) and wii U( which I think was three years or so after) so it's not really milked. 4 if you include handhelds in 8 years? We see a lot more games yearly, and they are still fun...3d mario games are fewer too. The new super series is similar though I'll give you that. But I still respect your thoughts.

Zelda U with a small teaser like twilight princess got...fall 2015...bayonetta fall release, X prob early 2015 unless your japan and it's 2014...I think sunshine gets a reboot...then several games like the Mario maker and then one big one that uses the pad well....that's reasonable I want a metriod or star fox...or Geist

Maybe it's all about the price...something faithful to the original was prob still the goal..for whatever reason you want to site. Filling out a release schedule on a dying system...that I have enjoyed so much...I was only asking the developing question cause I have no clue...I played baseball for to long and have spent the last 10 years of my life riding a fire engine or in the back of an ambulance...when you are a part of some peoples worst moments or sometimes final moments, I can get aggravated when people worry so much about things like frame rates. But I do appreciate the education it's all in text form, nothing I type is with a real negative tone....it may sound like it though. I try not to blindly defend a company and series I love...but it is known to happen

@Yorumi do we know enough about developing to know if it is lazy? I mean for real? How big is tantalus? I know they did funky barn. I just kinda got on a rant that 30 fps was the target those drops aren't really drops...not significant anyway..was it ever any doubt that it was going to be an upscaled port? Is the real problem expectations? I never expected it to be at 60... I did expect 1080 though. They have added things to the game, tried to improve the experience...it will be fine...I did read the comments....I heard whining lol...but again I'm prob just a grumpy old dude now...but at least everyone is passionate about it.

Can I whine about you guys a little? Those dips are nothing...the game is a very sustainable 30 FPS....60 fps is not needed in every game....splatoon, Mario kart, halo, call of duty...all are games that need to run at 60 frames....does anyone know what fallout runs at? Most of their games shoot for 30...and most of their games have major dips....are you guys just to young to not look past numbers? If I toss in my snes or n64 would it be unplayable to you....does a persons slightly elevated blood pressure mean they have high blood pressure if they are excited and in the back of an ambulance? All I am saying is for this game...when you are playing it...you won't notice...it looks fun, it looks better than it did...remember, Nintendo gave us wind waker because the upscale really did it well....I'm looking forward to the improved version of this game...it never had the chance to age as well as wind waker....I just wish people would put all this console bull crap to the side and enjoy these games we love together...and enjoy talking to each other about it...anyway sorry for slight rant...I guess I went and got old

I have not read comments yet...but will in a second...I have a 46 in TV in the living room...I have perfect vision, the eye doctor told me that so long as I keep my diabetes under control it will prob stay that way...with that said...instead of sitting on the couch which is closer than 10 feet away...I sit on the dang coffee table which is much closer...just to read it a little better...I can read it from the couch, but I have to focus a little more instead of just skimming...so it's an issues for a 31 year old without eye problems, so anyone who has a few more issues with their eyesight...I feel would be a little aggrievated by it.

Well Maybe it took to long to come out? Maybe people lost interest? I'll say I was not as hyped about it until it got to about a month and a half away. I also finished the original in that time frame...took like 106 hours over a long period of time. Long story short I can not get enough of X. I just think that's the market of the U.K. I feel like it's you guys on this site and whoever runs MyNintendo news. The WiiU has its issues but it's a severely underrated box with great games...yeah we can't play some of the awesome games in the other systems finally coming around but that's part of it. I think it will be remembered foundly. That said...without sounding egotistical..I'm very diverse with my games, I enjoy Nintendo games...they are not kitty, I hate that saying...but yes my daughter who is five wrecks in splatoon...and she can watch me play these games vrs some of the other ones which do have awesome content...that just grinds me up...it's not very mature of this 31 year old to say crap like this....but I'm not a very kiddie guy, my job is not kiddie, I can out run people, I can out lift people...and I can hit the ever living day lights out of a softball...yes many people are much better than me at lots of things...but when this punk kid comes up and tells me something is kiddie when I can grind these guys into dust I get very upset....now that I look like a capital Ego douche bag if that's what you like great, cause I like those games too. Sorry for the rant guys I am out of control today...great game, you guys do great on this site, and you guys that comment are always very objective...I'm the troll today I guess

I don't know if people remember what a ps2 game looked like...I just played through XC...took me a year and a half, and over 100 hours...that tech looked like a ps2 game...and I was so lost in environments that I never ever thought this looks like poop...if we are going to say we are a gameplay first community lets back that up...not saying don't want good or crisp graphics, but all these games look good now...I mean they really do.

I don't get the fuss really, cirtain games have cirtain styles, I think this one looks just as it should...they have added the extra details to the water and ships that people complained about...looks like a PS2 game? I don't know what kinda of crack people have been smoking...this looks great, runs at 60 fps, on two screens and when this is in motion it's going to look good....

@MoonKnight7 hey man I'm with you...I never would have said it last year. The Wii U is a strange case...the 3rd party support or lack of it makes waiting on a game like Zelda painful. It makes the lack of games more noticeable as they shift resources to the NX... So here I have this system, that has some of the best games I have played on it, and no one bought it. Games are finally getting good on the other two... Finally, but it's tough watching something that I have personally enjoyed die..sorry for rambling, I'm a little sleepy

I'm surprised everyone is so upset with the game they where asking for...look resident Evil 4 looked better one Wii than its high definition brother on the ps360...this looks much better, pop in your Wii version....however the HD will prob expose some lower polygon counts..this happened in RE4HD....this is why they picked Wind waker, they added very little detail to the models in that game...it simply did not need it. WW used the game pad extensively and creatively if you wanted it, I am sure this one will too. I normally have faith in the Nintendo faithful, but the random sort of backlash from this upsets me a little. Maybe it's nothing, or maybe we should just be thankful for what we asked.

@zeldagaymer93 agreed...in my profession, a fireman is very much in the public eye. And a lot of times the guys that get let go are the guys who have a documented history of problems or progressive discipline, and if your on thin ice...it does not take much..small violation of policy, or something slightly offensive and you give them the opportunity to remove a problem child you have not been able to....the comments he made are like a hand slap to me, really not that bad...I hope there was more to it but who knows

@Jazzer94 yes the gameplay was very fun...I was okay with the story, make samus more human..that's fine...but don't make her a wuss....surprise, feelings whatever is fine...I'm a fire fighter and some of the toughest guys I know have to sit and talk through some stuff sometimes...it was the very animie/wuss presence that ppl did not like...I say all that and I could have just said I agree..hehe
Federation force will be fine, ppl need to chill it will be fun..it may feel more like metroid in its boss fights and puzzles...but we will see

I do not remember where I read it...but it talked about the learning curve of motion control gaming, those that took the time to learn it, grow found of it and are very good at it...others...and I have personally witnessed this, will try for 3 seconds and toss it down saying this sucks! So then they miss out on one of the better games of a generation because of their own mindset...they think if they are good at games it automatically translates...but it does not...I forced my buddy to learns splatoon as intended and after about 30 mins of struggle( he is not really all that good at any games but like then) he started to love the controls and it helped him become a better player at that type of game... I also notice and it may not mean anything...I feel like ppl who have a curtain touch in athletics, like a smooth short stop, or great free throw shooter pick up motion controls better...does not mean they are better...just an easier learning curve

@blujay1524 well it has been awhile since I have played Melee, he may be more similar to Marth than I remember...but when brawl came out and Ike's neutral B was the same...and I remember Roy hitting a little harder than marth...I assumed we would not see Roy again...because Ike covered all his defining moves, and then some....maybe I should have said Ike is a more of a redefinition of Roy's few unique moves he had...but I may have to watch a video of Roy gameplay to remind myself.

I have my game, my four year old an I played an loved the test fire...my game pads right analog stick has been stuck in for some time which makes games where you use it almost unplayable.. Splatoon a motion aiming really helped with that probelm...but I sent it in for repair last week....it passed my house yesterday to get to a hub...and now the wait is for Monday since UPS does not roll on sat...that said while our house built we where at the in laws house...13 ppl, I had got over how they did not take care of my Gamepad while I was on duty at the fire house...now I'm aggravated again...my four year old as asked me every hour for the lat two days if the Gamepad was here....I have a pro...but it's only usable in 1 v 1 correct?

That said, let me get one old man comment out of the way....I'm 31...apparently I'm also patient...I play lots of games amoung other things....the over reactions...one bad eliminates three fantastic experiences? I could not try to play Saturday but my Gamepad was sent for repair in perp for Friday...anyway it could be just me but I fill like the younger generation is by far less patient, understanding and selfish...those are things we all struggle with but I do see it as a probelm.. I wonder how many of the over reactions are in relation to that...an inability to look at a positive side with anything. It's a beta, the Halo 5 beta was great when it worked....but it had countless bugs and issues connecting...so calm down...it will be fine...sorry if I came across as sort of a DB.

I scanned as quickly in comments as I could, no probelm with Diddy, but I have had issues in for Glory mode against Charizard...specifically two on two....and both opposing players use him on the flat smaller surface....really have not had issues with him on normal stages with items...anyone notice a probelm with his side special? I know it causes him damage and that's the trade but when your dead it does not matter

Yeah I only just got a 3DS, my first hand held....I played new super mario 2...it was only the third version I have played. Cause I have always have consoles and had played both on wii(one in 7 years) and wii U( which I think was three years or so after) so it's not really milked. 4 if you include handhelds in 8 years? We see a lot more games yearly, and they are still fun...3d mario games are fewer too. The new super series is similar though I'll give you that. But I still respect your thoughts.

Zelda U with a small teaser like twilight princess got...fall 2015...bayonetta fall release, X prob early 2015 unless your japan and it's 2014...I think sunshine gets a reboot...then several games like the Mario maker and then one big one that uses the pad well....that's reasonable
