If they added Ryu from Breath of Fire a lot of people would not know much about him I bet, although he's obviously huge for RPG fans. Or Andy from Advance Wars, many people would know him maybe by sight but not have a ton of experience with him.

I recognized Terry and have played king of fighters before but not a ton because I'm not a huge fighting game fan.

I mean, he doesn't have a lot of downsides for sure. Not a ton of risk for the rewards.

Wow there's a lot of comments here. Well I hope Nintendo fixes it and puts out a solid product from here on out. I've never had controller problems and still have working gamecube controllers with sticks that still are like new (rare) and yet I have 2 out of 6 joy cons that have drift issues. It's disappointing and unlike what I expect from Nintendo

@60frames-please About Advance Wars on Switch, I more want a new advance wars. I'm sure if it's new and everything, it would run with a nice frame rate.

I'm excited to try this! One of the few complaints I had about wargroove is that each faction and commander functioned the same beyond the commander power which only affected a small part. This game seems more like Advanced wars where the commander power affects all units. Does each faction also have strengths and weaknesses?

All of this further reminds me though that I wish Advanced Wars got a proper sequel.

Well, the minute the term "SJW" was mentioned we all knew this comment section would become terrible. Some people just love to make everything political and weird.

The costumes look legit, hopefully the series can capture some of the magic they had when they made castelvania but we'll see.

So people who are saying they’ll skip it- isn’t playing with the new Pokémon and getting to create relationships with new Pokémon worth maybe not being able to play with some certain Pokémon that you’ve played in previous games before and can still play in previous games if you choose?

I loved it so much and played it a ton. I even rotated between it and Splatoon 2 once that was out and I went back on several occasions and would play it for quite a long while at a time. Unfortunately or fortunately-- there was just a lot I wanted to play and so I stopped playing competitive online games as much

I look at it like I do other games-- if you want to play a certain pokemon that is not in this game, just play the older games. There has been a trend recently to have all previous entries return to new games-- all characters in smash, lots of old monsters return in monster hunter switch. But that's not the norm and is really just a bonus. Monster Hunter world didn't have many returning monsters at all.

I'm still excited for this game and think way too much is being made of all of this. People will still enjoy this game

I absolutely love it so far. I loved the first one but it was definitely difficult and not for everyone. This one is much more accessible and open to all players and all lovers of zelda. Absolutely worth the money IMO

It's a bit mitigated now since the amount of walking is tracked automatically and synched when I open the app, but I still used this as a quicker and easier way to do Pogo while on my phone and such. This is frustrating to get rid of it-- it's not going to drive me to go buy the pokemon accessory

I absolutely want save states and fast forward/rewind available on every next gen controller

I think it would have been a bit better if it was first person view of the characters

@BensonUii I’ve been watching all the various video game movies for the next episode of this podcast I’m a part of. We plan to talk about the top 5 best and worst. I didn’t watch assassin’s creed but apparently it was pretty bad

The biggest bit of irony with all of this is that Joker being in smash has actually kept me from buying Persona 5. I keep holding out hope that Persona 5 will come to switch, which would give me more time to play the game due to the nature of the console. I'll continue to hold out a bit of hope, but I'm playing other things on my PS4 and whereas I would have bought it by now if not for smash, now I'm ok with it being on the way-backburner.

An alternate version is having a separate CPU jigglypuff level one around and the goal is to hit them in the goal the most. You can set it to teams so no hitting your opponents or not. And with 8 player smash being a thing this might be a way to go- 3v3 and 1 (or 2) jigglypuff balls

Have some judge there that can determine if a player or players were excessive in their running away and/or stalling. Then make that player lose. Issue a warning mid-match even if you want. Or if both do it, not necessarily at the same time, then kick em both and the would-have-been next opponent gets a buy

As to the game, I'm not excited about random encounters again and I wish the camera was more over the shoulder-ish. I enjoyed seeing how big that forest was for instance in that brief shot. Oh well, it'll probably be there in spurts

I love Final Fantasy IX. VI beats it out as the best one in characters and music, but IX is very close

I want them to make pikemen less strong and or buff swordsmen. A harder difficulty might be cool too but maybe that’ll be possible with custom? All of these changes are awesome though! I’m still playing and loving this game
