Disappointing about the Switch delay, but at least the game has a release date on some platforms now. I liked what I have seen of the game. Also, is that lady giving a backwards V? Isn't that an obscene gesture in some countries?
NES Bill and Ted actually has a few things going for it. Graphics aren't bad and the dialog is surprisingly well written and keeps in tune with the movies. Too bad the game is a chore to play. Definitely not a pick for a re-release.
@Angelic_Lapras_King I hope Nintendo releases the fully translated English prototype of X (named Lunar Chase) on Switch Online when it comes to the service. It's an official lot check build (not to be confused with the earlier proto that's very different from the final game), so it was complete and close to being released. Looks like Kirby Tilt 'n Tumble is coming to the service, which has a tilt sensor in the cart.
@Serpenterror Tempest X on PS1 does support the neGcon controller. Not quite the same as a paddle since it auto centers, but definitely better than using the dpad. Still not a patch on Tempest 2000 in 60 FPS, though.
I was disappointed that they never did Arm Wrestling, especially since it never had a home port. I played an actual machine of it and it's a fun timing-based game with similarities to Punch Out. It's also played with a standard joystick.
I prefer to play a translation of Hebereke when playing on real hardware, since the music in Ufouria was adjusted for PAL and plays fast in NTSC. The US VC releases didn't bother to fix the music.
No Starblade for US? No translation issues like the WD games and it even got a US release.
Still might go for the US version since it has a few solid exclusives like Ristar and Golden Axe II and a good chunk of the JP exclusives are RPGs that only have their JP versions.
Space Seeker reminds me a bit of Space Battle for the Intellivision, which, oddly enough, predated this game. Though Space Battle doesn't have any side scrolling stages.
@SaikazuSTG The only real surprise here is Rally 2011 LED Storm. Pre-release version of the game that most of the EU LED Storm ports are based on with some interesting differences from the widely released version (LED Storm/Mad Gear). Also, did we really need two recent collections (or even 1) with Hyper Street Fighter II?
Oddly enough, Bill and Ted NES, is from the same developer as Loadstar and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs (not to be confused with the awesome Capcom arcade game) for the Sega CD and PC. Rocket Science games. Both games with shallow gameplay and a focus on cutscenes or FMV.
doh: The Rocket Science that worked on the NES game is probably a different company.
Not too excited, though the GB game is actually pretty good. The NES game isn't great, but it's far from the worst game and actually has a few things going for it like some nice dialog that stays true to the feel of the movies.
@john_lennon999 Namco did that with the previous collection, but won't do it here because they are pissed at AtGames for buying the royalty rights from under their back. However, the stand alone versions on PS4, 360, and Steam are superior to the DLC version in the original Pac-Man Museum. They were even initially the same price.
@happydeathman Jr. Pac-Man was also made by GCC and distributed by Midway, but that has been in limbo for a long time since it wasn't as successful as Ms. Pac-Man. I doubt Ms. Pac-Man in cutscenes is the only reason. Namco even made a completely different game named Pac Jr. in the Genesis version of Pac-Man 2 that was nothing more than an edited version of Ms. Pac-Man.
@Silly_G The standard Japanese retail release of SI Invincible Collection, which came out before SI Forever, was later patched to include English and three more games that were originally only on the JP Limited Edition of the collection since SE decided to make a wider release of the full collection.
@Spideron 35th anniversary of SF, but with artwork celebrating the second game, which came out in the '90s. The first game did come out in the '80s, but SFII is when the series really took off.
Not a fan of the Turtles figures, trying too hard to look like the Mirage Turtles.
I watched the trailer. Male voice playing for a female character. I hope the actual game isn't like that. Not a fan of this release since the game used to be available for free on the developer's website.
@JohnshiBRPG Problem is that exa's aren't that easy to find and they make it a point to add exclusive features that many won't get to see. The base game is already extremely good and I don't recommend holding out on it for features that will never come to the home version.
Another page using the western name for a Japanese trailer. Kiki Kaikai Kuro Mantle no Nazo doesn't translate to "Pocky and Rocky Reshrined". I expected to see a US trailer because of the headline. Trailer does look incredible, though.
I hope Pac-Man Museum+ won't be like the old one. It was handled by a different developer than Namco Museum Virtual Arcade and the XBLA Ms. Pac-Man and it shows. They even had the bright idea of releasing a worse version of Ms. Pac-Man as DLC when better versions on XBLA and Steam exist.
"River City Saga: Three Kingdoms". Where did this name come from? That's not a translation of the JP title and the game hasn't been announced for US/EU yet.
"PAC-MAN ARRANGEMENT Arcade ver."
Yes! Yes! Yes! Ever since Namco started re-releasing the other Pac-Man Arrangement that first appeared on PSP, which is here too, I never thought I would see this again.
I'm also surprised to see Pac in Time here since it was actually a reskin of a game made by Kalisto named Fury of the Furries.
I wonder why Frank Welker isn't voicing Garfield. Not a huge fan of CG Garfield, but his voice wasn't bad. Hopefully, Garfield's mouth won't move this time around. I was disappointed that even The Garfield Show had his mouth moving.
I'm hoping for Urkel in a fighting game (mainly because of that Mortal Kombat parody in one episode). He was on Scooby Doo and Guess Who?, though the rest of the Family Matters cast was oddly absent.
There were also World of Warcraft characters and a city in Wow named Mac'Aree named after this guy (and most of the names are similar to Jessie McCree. There's even a Jenny McCree). I was actually hoping that Jesse McCree was not his real name since it sounds made up and western like Mad Dog McCree.
It's odd that the video uses the US localized title in the subtitles (that was only used in the Namco Museum port AFAIK) when Genpei Toumaden definitely doesn't translate to "The Genji and The Heike Clans".

Re: Random: McDonald's DSi Console Pulled From Second-Hand Sale In Japan
Shouldn't it be "Donald got mad"? Ronald was renamed to Donald McDonald in Japan.
Re: Atooi Shadow Drops Adorable Roguelike Dungeon Hopper On Switch eShop
Looks like a reskin of Totes the Goat, which was a Crossy Road style Q*Bert clone.
Re: Wario's New Voice Actor Seems To Be Confirmed
I dunno. His voice sounds different from Kevin Afghani's Mario voice and reminds me a bit of Kyle Herbert's voices.
Re: Feature: Harvest Moon 64’s Relationship With Alcohol, The "Magic Liquid" Of Flowerbud Village
Vodka Drunkenski was renamed in the JP Punch Out games too. Even the limited gold Punch Out FC version has his name as Soda Popinski.

Funny they called it "full Bloom edition" because it reminds me of a certain unrelated comic with a penguin named Opus.
Re: Rare Footage From Nintendo's 1976 16mm Film Arcade Game 'Sky Hawk' Emerges
Punch Out Game & Watch is just a rebranding of the Boxing Game & Watch. The game plays more like Urban Champion than Punch Out.
Crazy thing about the original 16mm film Wild Gunman is that Sega brought it to the US.
Re: Street Fighter Vs. TMNT Action Figure Sets Launching Later This Year
I find it funny that the article mentions '80s video game packaging when SFII came out in the '90s.
