Not buying until Metroid Prime 4 releases. I still have plenty of games to play on my OG Switch until then.

I dunno why people are getting so upset over Gamechat being a memory hog. Sounds like developers will be able to opt out if they want to. Like, I doubt you'll be needing to video chat with a friend while playing something intensive like Elden Ring. I bet the feature will only be used on games like Mario Kart or Mario Party.

I think so. Definitely an iconic character spanning multiple titles. I think anything originally released on X360, Wii U, PS3, or 3DS is considered retro at this point. And if not a retro icon now, he will be soon. The first game is a 10/10 for me. Great characters, visuals, music, and gameplay. Always reminded me of a modern Mega Man, but a little more forgiving and joyous.

I don't have high hopes for this one. We are mid way through the last year of Switch. Probably lots of junk.

I didn't mind the wait tbh. I prefer they get it right.

My biggest issue with Switch are the dismal online features. NSO is fine, but integrate it better with the OS. Give us better chat functionality, game/party invites, etc. Everything is just so outdated with modern standards.

I WANT PORTS! Really that's all I'm interested in.

OMG I played the crap out of this game back in the day. I wouldn't say it's great but it definitely scared the ***** out of me.

I think the pricing is fine upon release - as some of these games have a lot of work put into them. Plus, there are a lot of new Switch players who've never played the originals. Also, just think about inflation and the fact that game prices have largely stayed the same since the 90s. Ultimate MK3 for Genesis was $70 back then! It's actually kind of amazing we aren't paying for $80/$90 games at this point. Be happy about that.

The problem I have is that their games just stay at the initial price and hardly ever go on sale.

I'm excited too! The Mario Movie was surprisingly good and Pratt did a fine job. Hope to hear his version of Mario for years to come!

@Serpenterror Wishful thinking. Nintendo is likely going to repeat their strategy with the Switch 2. Save money on manufacturing using cheaper components and sell for profit. I mean, why would they change it up?

@nocdaes Yea if people love the Sonic movies, than I'm sure they can do something decent with Zelda.

@ItsOKToBeOK There's a lot to the world but Zelda has always been relatively light on plot. I don't know how you make a series out of "Save Hyrule!".

Really would have liked to see Fire and Ice on here. I know it's an NES title, but it's one of the best games on the NSO service.

BOTW got me back into gaming. I fell in love with it. TOTK felt like a chore and I didn't finish it. The heavy focus on crafting / fusing wasn't really my style. Maybe I'll pick it back up some day when I have more time.

I think a whole movie based on Odyssey would be pretty cool. Love the locations in that game, and if they came up with a good story, it would be awesome.

I haven't watched the Simpsons since Season 12. It's so wild that the show is still going.

I would LOVE Super Nintendo Switch (SNS), but we'll prob get something lame like Switch X or Switch +. Switch 2 would be too easy but also a good choice to actually differentiate from OG Switch. Here's to hoping they don't screw up their mojo like they did with the Wii U and confuse people.

Yes it's weird that Sony Pictures is producing it, but I don't care. At least it's finally getting made. And even if it falls flat and bombs, at least I can add "seeing Zelda in theaters" to my bucket list. I'm ready to be disappointed, but will be quite thankful if I'm not. I've waited for this ever since playing Zelda 2 on NES.

Even if this guy is right, there's still gonna be some sort of short lived gimmick built in. I say it will launch for $350, not $400.

I'm really not even gonna speculate or get my hopes up for anyone, because I certainly didn't expect Pratt as Mario (though he did a great job). I just hope the characters are written and acted well. I hope Zelda is like the old 80s/90s cartoon and not like the BOTW version.

I feel like there are few games that could be called a "Super Game". GTA, Elder Scrolls, and BOTW come to mind. Sega definitely will fall short on their claim.

My biggest gripe with Switch (and Nintendo) are the convoluted online features. Everything is so disjointed and a pain in the ass, between the Eshop, chat functionality, friend requests, lack of parties, NSO, etc. Just redo the whole platform and streamline the hell out of things - it's 2023 FFS! I pray they come up with something for the next Switch that is all encompassing.

Will never happen as long as Nintendo keeps on their current trajectory. They are clearly doing very well with all of the entertainment expansions (Theme Park, films, etc). MS buying Nintendo would be the death of gaming.

It's not happening. They just had the Mario Direct. That's all we get unfortunately.

@Stamina_Wheel Because it's become fairly standard at this point for Nintendo to overcharge for ports. They do it a lot, so people are used to it and realize they can't do anything about it.

I went on a date with the master sword in 1998. It went exceptionally well.

Link, Zelda, Key Items, a certain amount of openness, and Dungeons (and yes, Shrines count as dungeons...just a different take on dungeons). Everything else is kinda up in the air.
