Hahaha all the people panicking in that other article about the new Nintendo Systems website can all stop being reactionary now. I guarantee they are making a big push to improve their awful digital content services like NSO and Eshop. This day has revealed some truly interesting tidbits about what Nintendo has planned.
This doesn't necessarily have to do with mobile games. It could be a new initiative to improve Nintendo's Eshop and NSO services.....which is sorely needed at this point.
@helloim_anthony Oh I'm sorry. You implied. Seriously people being negative and not acting like they are negative when they get called out is so lame. Just own it.
@helloim_anthony LOL reactions like this crack me up. They showed a very very small portion of some new abilities and people already think the game is total garbage. My god chill out folks.
Basically everything the current Switch failed at. The next Switch absolutely must have a better online interface / features for me to purchase it. I could care less about themes, icons, blah blah blah. Just make it easy to set up online sessions with people (game invites! Chat functionality! Full integration with the NSO app! No more friend codes!) For god sakes it's 2023 and they don't even have industry standard online features for the Switch.
BOTW is easily first. I'll never forget the feeling Ocarina gave me, but in hindsight its very sparse. Termina Field is really cool - it should be second to BOTW.
I prefer Ocarina over all these. There was sort of an unspoken poetic thing going on between Link and Zelda throughout the course of that game. It was a likely romance that could never be, due to Ganon's evil and also time travel. At the end of the game when Link and Zelda met each other as kids again, it was so emotional. It reminded me of a movie.
I won't even buy a Steam deck let alone this. Switch is still king when it comes to hybrid devices. Affordable, tons of games, and smaller than the competition.
I'm optimistic. Miyamoto is usually sincere when he talks about his prized IP, and I think they learned their lesson from the days of Virtual Boy and the 1993 Mario flick. If it's good, I hope it starts a trend of video game adaptions that are actually worth watching.
@ALinkttPresent I see where you are coming from, but to me it is one. Mainly because I got that magical feeling when I first played it - and that only happens when I play new Zelda games.
First of all, I don't think we will see a Switch 2 in 2023. Too soon after the OLED model. If by some crazy chance they do launch a new Switch in 2023 alongside BOTW 2...I would definitely buy it, assuming it's a significant improvement - basically it would have to have PS4 graphics at a minimum and a real online service that is integrated into the OS. Otherwise, I'm just gonna keep playin my OG Switch for the next two years.
I don't understand the graphics complaining. First of all they look fine. Secondly, it's Mario Kart. People aren't really paying attention to the scenery.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom's Final Pre-Launch Trailer Is Absolutely Stunning
BHAHAHA all the DLC naysayers are surely eating it now. This game looks truly epic. Moreso than BOTW. My god I can't wait.

@TheBigBlue Lol so true
Re: Nintendo Will Repair Out-Of-Warranty Joy-Con For Free In The UK, EEA, Switzerland
@Ali_Benji Bought mine in 2017 and only just a few months ago my joy cons started to act up. Guess we were lucky.

Re: Poll: Is This The Very End Of The Road For E3?
@Balta666 E3 kind of died with Nintendo moving to Directs IMO. Great for Nintendo, not great for E3.

Re: Legendary Zelda Producer Eiji Aonuma Has Turned 60 This Week
60 isn't that old - so that's a positive. He's got plenty more years left to keep pumping out awesome Zelda titles.
Re: Hands On: Bayonetta Origins Is Shaping Up To Be An Elegant, Enchanting Spin-Off
@wiiware I don't get this stance. If it's a great game with lots to offer, price shouldn't really matter (within reason).

BOTW is easily first. I'll never forget the feeling Ocarina gave me, but in hindsight its very sparse. Termina Field is really cool - it should be second to BOTW.

Re: Review: Sail Forth - An Explorative, Seaborne Blend Of No Man's Sky And Wind Waker
@nocdaes Yea that's a pretty big issue that shouldn't be fixed via patched. Should at least work on day one.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Most Anticipated Games For 2023 (That Aren't Zelda)
@KBuckley27 There's a new Kirby coming? Different than the one that just came out?
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Most Anticipated Games For 2023 (That Aren't Zelda)
Doesn't bode well for first party Nintendo releases. Like, what is there aside from Zelda in 2023?
Re: Miyamoto Unsurprisingly Reckons The Super Mario Movie Will Be Pretty Good
I'm optimistic. Miyamoto is usually sincere when he talks about his prized IP, and I think they learned their lesson from the days of Virtual Boy and the 1993 Mario flick. If it's good, I hope it starts a trend of video game adaptions that are actually worth watching.
Re: Feature: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer Breakdown - Theories And Speculation
I hoping those seven relics or pieces of jewelry represent seven legit dungeons.
Re: Super Sonic Shines In New Sonic Frontiers Trailer
I'm still betting that there will be lots of empty areas and boring traverses in this game.
Re: Poll: So, How Are You Pronouncing Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
I actually hope it's tears as in torn. Sounds cooler that way - like a dope metal song.
Re: Highly Acclaimed Management Sim 'Factorio' Is Heading To Switch
This looked like one of the more interesting games from the direct, rather than the 40 or so farming JRPGs.

Re: Nikkei Report Says No New Nintendo Hardware Is Coming This Fiscal Year
I'm hesitant on buying a new Nintendo console anyway. Love the Switch but I hate the awful online offerings.
Re: Video: What Was Your First Video Game Ever?
Pitfall for Atari
Re: Talking Point: In An Age Of Endless Delays, Nintendo's First-Party Flow Is Extraordinary
I'd prefer if they just improved the online system and focused on releasing more classic titles. When they do that I'll call it extraordinary.

December 2023
Re: Random: WWE's Stone Cold Steve Austin Says Breath Of The Wild Is The Best Zelda Game

Re: Reggie Had To Fight For Wii Sports As A Pack-In, And Miyamoto Wasn't Happy
@Gravitron Maybe the poor success of the Wii U made them decide that bundling software wasn't going to make a difference anymore.
