The way they're hyping it it needs to be big otherwise people will be let down. Needs to be something like Crash or MasterChief.

I'll have almost zero interest in the campaign. Online is all I play this game for with mates. As long as that part of the game is good I'm happy.

As someone who tends to turn down the brightness on my screens including Switch, I feel the OLED would be wasted on me. I'm very happy with my launch console still. More than good enough.

Just started Bayo 2 last night in preparation for 3 next year. So far loving it. So OTT.

Nothing on Nintendo at the moment. Powering through Red Dead 2 mostly.

@SwitchForce how is it a "piss on Switch players"? It's giving them an option to play a game they otherwise wouldn't have got to play at all. If you don't like it that's fine but I'm sure there are plenty that do like it as an option.
Also if you're going to make the argument that you need to pay ISP for Internet for this to work, why not say you have to pay for electricity for the console to work? And I have to buy food to have the energy to play it. Are all these gaming costs too?

@Friendly @SirKif Ya, good point. I guess in my head I just associated it with up until the end of December. My bad. Still doesn't change my opinion that it was fairly mediocre in terms of news though.

It was a bit on the disappointing side for me. SO many things shown that they've shown before. And so much more shown for 2022 despite them saying they would focus on 2021 games. Bayonetta confirmed and N64 games were the highlights for me. Pretty bad though when 25 year old games are the highlight.

Been a quiet year for gaming for gaming for me. Hoping for a big finish to it tomorrow.

Metroid Dread and Guardians of the Galaxy are all that interest me here.

Must get back to this game.

Loving all the Marvel games coming out. Haven't picked up Avengers yet but will do soon. Guardians later this year and then this too. Epic.

If this came out 4 years ago I would have probably bought it. My current case does the job.

Foreclosed. Cool indie game in a cyberpunk type world.

If the game is good I'll play the game. Nothing else matters to be honest.

@Max_the_German I was replying to the person who mentioned cartridges. And I've read about 5 different websites articles on this news, not just the kotaku link. So that's why I was unsure of where I read it.

@HIGHscores85 think I read somewhere they'd be digital only. No physical version at all.

Picked up Foreclosed (although not on Switch). Looking forward to trying it out. Looks great.

Using the dip in new releases to get through the backlog. Finished Age Of Calamity and then Streets of Rage 4. Just started Starlink last night. So far enjoying it.

Guardians of the Galaxy and Metroid Dread are all that's on my list for the rest of this year for Switch.

@FarsanBaloo I've played a few of those on Steam with friends in the last few years. Some games are better than others. I like that this is a straight up quiz though rather than a joke game.

I still play the old Buzz games from Playstation regulalrly with friends. Definitely picking this up, especially at that price.

@Kreko I can see the big picture too. But you also said "consumers like me" so I'm using me as an example. Anyways, we disagree. Each to their own.

@Kreko how are "consumers like me" the problem when I have bought no versions of these games ever and I've never bought multiple releases of any game phsycially/digitally?

@Kreko Did you buy it when it first released digitally? If so, why does it matter if they release it physical later? You already own the game and can play it right now, why would you buy it again? You don't have to buy everything that gets released.

@Kreko How is this milking? If you already own the games, congrats. Go play the games. You don't have to own every version of the game that they release.

If you don't own these this is a new way to purchase them. I don't own either of these and am tempted to pick this up.

@ModdedInkling I love it but I hit a wall with a certain section a few months back. I was determined to go back to it someday because I loved the story and even the gameplay was surprisingly fun. I'm closing in on the finish now. It's probably in my top 5 favourite Switch games.

@kostasfil hearing lots of good things about it. Is it on Switch or where are you playing it?

Went back to Age of Calamity after a long time not playing it. Couldn't get past a particular level and abandoned it. After 4 attempts this weekend I got through it and I'm closing in on finishing now. Love it.

@SM3DASislit it's been so long since I tried it I can't fully remember. I like the look of the game but the gameplay didn't click I think. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a try. Might try it again sometime.

Played this game once before bed. Was wired for hours after it. Bad idea. Great game though.

Tried it at launch. Wasn't for me but great to see its found an audience.

Put a lot of hours into this on Stadia with friends. It's a great game and delighted it's open to everyone now. Still play it on Games Night regularly.

It's a great idea and good to have more handheld options in the market. Personally I think it looks too bulky. A hardware revision after a year or 2 could really slim it down and make it more appealing to me.

As it is my backlog is big enough so I'll pass on this anyways.

Streaming games is a great alternative for some people. Looking forward to see where Netflix head with this. More ways to play is good.

It's great on phone. Don't feel the need to get it on Switch.

@Andy_Witmyer There are certain parts of the country where that is still the case. The Gaeltacht areas as they are known. But for all the rest of the country road signs are done in English and Irish.

After years of learning Irish in school and being decent at it I wish I had a better grasp of it now. I guess just lack of everyday use causes it to fade. Recently started brushing up on it again. It's amazing how quickly it can come back to you. I love that we have our own language. Hope we can keep it alive.
