AC2 is on of the best games I ever played. Great story and great ending.

I've had the Switch since launch and this year has definitely been the least I've played it. Not many games grabbed my attention.

I did my year in review on the Nintendo website and I used my Switch a lot less this year compared to other years. My most played game was Hyrule Warriors AOC (which is technically a 2020 game). Metroid was only OK for me, the N64 online was a mess from once the price was annoucned followed by poor emulation, and nothing else springs to mind so that probably says it all for me. 4 out of 10. Would have ranked lower but I still enjoyed older multiplayer games with friends on occasion.

@aznable I'd say that is a large part of their target audience. Personally, I have a games room and like collecting things from my favourite franchises. I have no youtube channel, it is purely for my own enjoyment. And BOTW is easily my favourite game ever so I'm loving this.

Screw it, pre-ordered.

Will give this a try on one of the other platforms.

@nhSnork I wasn't paying that much attention to that aspect of the argument they were making. If they hadn't mentioned it I'm not sure I would have known what gen we are currently in to be honest.

I've got news for ya, we're in the 9th gen. Sales of PS5 and Series S/X are going very well. And while graphically there might not be a massive difference just yet between 8th gen and 9th gen games, we are only 1 year in. Give it time. Also we are getting additional benefits like better load times and more consistant framerates/resolution.

Metroid Dread and Guardians of the Galaxy on Switch. Red Dead 2 elsewhere.

This doesn't bother me. Will get it physical on Switch. Looking forward to having GTA on the go.

@Gwynbleidd I understand your point and agree to a certain extent. But not everyone is having an unbearable experience. It works great for me and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm glad its on the Switch in some form as I wouldn't have access to it otherwise.

I love how when people have a bad experience with a cloud game they make a blanket statement saying that it doesn't work. Correction: it didn't work well for you. That doesn't mean it will be bad for everyone. It's crap that it doesn't work the same for everyone but thats the nature of the internet. I'm having a blast with it and the performance is great. And my internet is by no means ultra fast. It's just fast enough. Try the demo before buying and see if it works for you before taking this or any review as gospel.

Started the game last night. It's been a slow year in gaming this year but I feel this could be a contender for game of the year for me. Up there with Metroid Dread. The writing is great, I'm liking the gameplay so far and the music is perfect. Highly recommend to play if it runs well for you.

Tried the demo. Runs great. Will be purchasing.

Bought Banjo, Min Min and Kazuya. None of the rest appealed to me so I'm glad I didn't get the packs prior to announcements.

I have some of these N64 games and the console setup in my games room but I get very little time to play them. Having them on a handheld console is extremely convenient so I might bite on this. Might finally get around to playing Zelda OOT.

While I'm a fan of fifa, I can't understand why people would buy the Switch version. If I do buy it it'll be on another platform.

Pre ordering tomorrow after seeing my local Gamestop running a good trade- in deal. Looking forward to trying it now with all the good reviews coming in.

Great for new adopters. I'm happy with my 2017 Switch for now though. Does the job and does it well.

@Snatcher I tried playing Super but I just couldn't click with it. Probably just because it's an old game, the controls felt off to me.

Hadn't planned on getting this but I can get it for €10 if I trade in Mario Golf with Gamestop so I think I'm gonna take the plunge. Looking forward to trying it out now.

@tameshiyaku I can understand that. Don't think I'll be too worried about playing these games in 10 years time so I'm not too worried about owning physical. I just want to play the games.

@tameshiyaku where are you purchasing a second hand PS4 for less than €100? They're at a minimum €150 and that's if you're lucky. Generally closer to €180 mark.

The way they're hyping it it needs to be big otherwise people will be let down. Needs to be something like Crash or MasterChief.

I'll have almost zero interest in the campaign. Online is all I play this game for with mates. As long as that part of the game is good I'm happy.

As someone who tends to turn down the brightness on my screens including Switch, I feel the OLED would be wasted on me. I'm very happy with my launch console still. More than good enough.

Just started Bayo 2 last night in preparation for 3 next year. So far loving it. So OTT.

Nothing on Nintendo at the moment. Powering through Red Dead 2 mostly.

@SwitchForce how is it a "piss on Switch players"? It's giving them an option to play a game they otherwise wouldn't have got to play at all. If you don't like it that's fine but I'm sure there are plenty that do like it as an option.
Also if you're going to make the argument that you need to pay ISP for Internet for this to work, why not say you have to pay for electricity for the console to work? And I have to buy food to have the energy to play it. Are all these gaming costs too?

@Friendly @SirKif Ya, good point. I guess in my head I just associated it with up until the end of December. My bad. Still doesn't change my opinion that it was fairly mediocre in terms of news though.

It was a bit on the disappointing side for me. SO many things shown that they've shown before. And so much more shown for 2022 despite them saying they would focus on 2021 games. Bayonetta confirmed and N64 games were the highlights for me. Pretty bad though when 25 year old games are the highlight.

Been a quiet year for gaming for gaming for me. Hoping for a big finish to it tomorrow.
