@Zenszulu I always buy it in physical form so I can resell it before it loses all value. If I buy it digitally for €60, its cost me €60. If I buy physical I can sell it on usually in March or so for about €25 - €30.
Kinda glad there's nothing of interest for me. I've enough to play right now. Almost finished Age of Calamity. Fantastic game. Gonna try get back to Control after that.
Only started playing Age of Calamity at Christmas. Didn't think I'd like it but it is easily been my favourite game this year. Almost finished it. Highly recommend. Thought Horace would be up there too after the heavy discount.
@TheLightSpirit you said yourself you hate soccer and have no interest in the other sports either. You probably associate and play with other people who have similar interests to you so it makes sense none of your friends play or watch those sports. Everyone I know has Sky Sports to watch the Premier League. By that same logic you used that makes soccer extremely popular here.
@TheLightSpirit "Ireland is not a soccer nation"?? Gotta disagree with you there. Yes Gaelic Football is more popular but that does not mean this country is not fanatical about soccer. Its the 2nd most popular sport here. And FIFA is hugely popular here too.
This was definitely the year I played my Switch the least. The games I played I enjoyed but a very quiet Nintendo year for me. Do plan on jumping into Age of Calamity in the next few days though.
Happy Christmas to everyone at Nintendo Life. The Internet is over flowing with toxic forums but it's great to have this site to have pretty healthy debate, conversation and shared experiences on all things gaming. Here's hoping 2021 is much better than this year.
I've played very few of any catagory nominees and none of the game of the year nominees. Think I'm gaming wrong. Only catagory I could really give an opinion on is Best Sports which I would hands down give to F1 20. Also hoping Mario Kart Live gets an award too. Love that thing.
Loving the look of this game. For what it is I think I'm going to enjoy it. Loved the demo. I just want as much of this game universe as possible. Roll on Friday.
Love Code Master games. F1 20 is fantastic this year. I have no issue with this if they want to add a new mode with micro transactions but if they start interfering with existing modes i will have a problem.
It's a freaky game. The chattering of voices in the background is unsettling. But I love the way it feels like a TV show boxset. Making for a very interesting storyline. Liking it so far.
@DrDaisy probably to "The Outer Worlds" levels of a downgrade. Maybe worse, considering the game has a lot of destructible environments. The original PS4 and Xbox One struggle to run this game.
@westman98 It has caught on in low numbers for sure. But I think given the way Google is rolling this platform out they would probably be happy with the uptake on it. Its only available in certain countries so of course the player base will be low. Time will tell. But I feel cloud gaming is gonna be here to stay. The technology is only going to improve.
@SwitchForce It is free for a month. Sign up for the free month trial to try it out, cancel your sub straight away and you will still have access to the game for 30 days.
If anyone wants to try it out for free, signup for the free month of Stadia Pro this month. It's one of the free games. So you can play it for a month at no cost.
@westman98 it is tiny. But it's growing. It's not even a year old yet but has over 100 games available on it with regular sales. As it becomes available in more countries and Internet becomes more reliable in more places it will continue to grow. Developers clearly see a future in it with Ubisoft getting fully behind it and Luna, and a lot of the biggest games now coming to the platform also. That's where I'll be playing Cyberpunk.
Will probably pick up at some point, probably on sale. If Switch performance is poor then I'll probably get elsewhere. Not expecting it to be on a par though with other versions, as long as its a decent version I'll go Switch.
This is the perfect workaround for a console like the Switch. Give people the option to play the game in some form rather than not at all. As for the 6 month warning, servers cost money. The main campaign is about 10-12 hours with little to no replay value. If you can't complete it in that space of time then don't buy the game.
@Galva027 if that starts to happen then it's a different conversation. In this instance, the game would never have come to Switch. Its too demanding of a game on the hardware. So I'm all for it. If we start getting cloud versions of games that the system could handle natively I would be less in favour of this.
@Dreamcast2Turbo So you would prefer if no version of this game came to Switch and deprive people who only have one console the chance to play this game? Why? If you don't want to play it that's fine, but why do you also want to deprive me of the opportunity to play the game in some form also? Seems petty.
@fanguy that's one of the big downfalls of streaming. When it works great, it's great. But there are too many places that it's not good enough to run this kinda service. I'd like to think I'm the next few years this will change. I'm lucky to be in an area with great Internet and no data caps.
@aznable Breaking News: video game company that makes video games so they can make money release video game on another console to make money. Gamer calls them greedy and throws a hissy fit.

@Donutman not sure what point you're making. I just thought it was funny you said "I just refuse to accept it is the future" and then in the very next sentence you said "but I also accept its the future".

I will be buying this. Some people are so dead against streaming they would rather Switch have no access to this game at all than have a streaming version. Not everyone has all the consoles. Some people only have Switch. If you have the other consoles, play this game there.
