@th3r3ds0x I don't think cloud gaming will ever pass out local console/pc gaming. I think it will just be another option for people. A much cheaper option at that.
As for not owning games, ya thats a valid point and I get why some people are hung up on this. Personally, I'm playing games now. I'm not worried about if I can play Cyberpunk or whatever in 20 years time. I am buying the game to experience it. When I'm done I'll move on to the next thing. If I've got value for money out of my experience I'm happy.
As I mentioned, I've played AC Odyssey for 60 hours, it cost me €23 on Stadia. I got value for money there.

That's fair. If it runs poorly for you then I wouldn't settle for that. Thankfully streaming runs great for me. As good as my XBox One runs games locally without having to worry about downloading big game files, patches and storage. Perfect for me.

@th3r3ds0x Each to their own, but if the options are you cannot play this game at all or you can only play a cloud version of this game then I would choose the 2nd option all day long.
I'm getting to play games I would never have had the chance to thanks to cloud gaming. 60 hours into AC Odyssey and it's definitely in my top 5 fav games ever. I'd have missed out otherwise. I have an Xbox One but I dont get to play it as much as i would like, being able to play on cloud gives me more ways to play these big games (TV, phone, PC browser, tablet) so I'm more likely to give them a go.

@GrailUK why would they charge any less than full price? You're getting to play the full game.

@th3r3ds0x being able to play the game at all benefits the customer. If I only own Switch I'd have no access to this game. You'd rather I have no access at all than have the choice to play a cloud version?

Love cloud gaming but I'm not interested in this game. I've enough to play on Switch and Stadia as it is. And I have Hitman 1 and 2 on my Stadia Pro subscription. If I want to try out the series I'll start with them.

@WhiteTrashGuy $25 would be a good price for this for me to bite too. Played the Stadia demo and the biggest turn-off for me was the "comedy". Just didn't like it. But I'm sure plenty love that side of it.

Played it on Stadia awhile back (it was a free game on Pro). At €10 it's probably worth it. Decent game.

Hilarious! Looks like a €2 mobile game though. Price is a bit steep for what you get.

I think if I showed the NYT my backlog they'd probably think I'm not gaming enough.

I picked up a portable dock for €25 awhile back. Very handy for throwing into my Switch carry case.

Looking at the advert for it it looks just like Mario Odyssey or any other mainline 3D Mario game. How is it different?

@kozaru the UK is mad about football. The Premier League is probably the biggest league in the world right now. Make sense that fifa would be popular there

@Zenszulu I always buy it in physical form so I can resell it before it loses all value. If I buy it digitally for €60, its cost me €60. If I buy physical I can sell it on usually in March or so for about €25 - €30.

Kinda glad there's nothing of interest for me. I've enough to play right now. Almost finished Age of Calamity. Fantastic game. Gonna try get back to Control after that.

Only started playing Age of Calamity at Christmas. Didn't think I'd like it but it is easily been my favourite game this year. Almost finished it. Highly recommend.
Thought Horace would be up there too after the heavy discount.

@TheLightSpirit you said yourself you hate soccer and have no interest in the other sports either. You probably associate and play with other people who have similar interests to you so it makes sense none of your friends play or watch those sports.
Everyone I know has Sky Sports to watch the Premier League. By that same logic you used that makes soccer extremely popular here.

@TheLightSpirit "Ireland is not a soccer nation"?? Gotta disagree with you there. Yes Gaelic Football is more popular but that does not mean this country is not fanatical about soccer. Its the 2nd most popular sport here. And FIFA is hugely popular here too.

This was definitely the year I played my Switch the least. The games I played I enjoyed but a very quiet Nintendo year for me. Do plan on jumping into Age of Calamity in the next few days though.

Happy Christmas to everyone at Nintendo Life. The Internet is over flowing with toxic forums but it's great to have this site to have pretty healthy debate, conversation and shared experiences on all things gaming. Here's hoping 2021 is much better than this year.

Runs great on Stadia thankfully. Last gen gamers got screwed.

Could never get into these games. Got Hitman 2 free on Stadia, must give it a whirl and see if they've changed much in recent versions.

I've played very few of any catagory nominees and none of the game of the year nominees. Think I'm gaming wrong.
Only catagory I could really give an opinion on is Best Sports which I would hands down give to F1 20.
Also hoping Mario Kart Live gets an award too. Love that thing.

Loving the look of this game. For what it is I think I'm going to enjoy it. Loved the demo. I just want as much of this game universe as possible. Roll on Friday.

Love Code Master games. F1 20 is fantastic this year. I have no issue with this if they want to add a new mode with micro transactions but if they start interfering with existing modes i will have a problem.

Mostly Switch. Any big AAA games i miss out on I'll get on Stadia.

Dizzy was one of the first games I ever played. Loved it. Played it on the Atari ST. Floppy disks and joysticks, the good ol days.

Bought it day one but haven't really got stuck into it yet. It's going to be my Christmas game I think.

It's a freaky game. The chattering of voices in the background is unsettling. But I love the way it feels like a TV show boxset. Making for a very interesting storyline. Liking it so far.

@DrDaisy probably to "The Outer Worlds" levels of a downgrade. Maybe worse, considering the game has a lot of destructible environments. The original PS4 and Xbox One struggle to run this game.
