Put a lot of hours into this on Stadia with friends. It's a great game and delighted it's open to everyone now. Still play it on Games Night regularly.
It's a great idea and good to have more handheld options in the market. Personally I think it looks too bulky. A hardware revision after a year or 2 could really slim it down and make it more appealing to me.
As it is my backlog is big enough so I'll pass on this anyways.
@Brummieendo90 we get it, you don't like the Republic of Ireland. Is the forum of a Nintendo fansite the place to be having these discussions though? This is just an article about an interesting feature in a game.
@Andy_Witmyer There are certain parts of the country where that is still the case. The Gaeltacht areas as they are known. But for all the rest of the country road signs are done in English and Irish.
After years of learning Irish in school and being decent at it I wish I had a better grasp of it now. I guess just lack of everyday use causes it to fade. Recently started brushing up on it again. It's amazing how quickly it can come back to you. I love that we have our own language. Hope we can keep it alive.
Not for me but I can see it having a market. Will keep an eye on how it is received and reviewed for sure. But right now I have just about enough time to play what I already have.
@BloodNinja again as I said in my second comment, I'm not really comparing those 2 specifically. Just saying that I spend money on some things others might consider mad. And vice versa. People have different priorities. Each to their own. My first example was probably poor though.
@Jackpaza0508 this was my first thought too. People seem to have money burning a whole in their pocket they can't wait to get rid of. I'd rather spend money on games than consoles. I approve this news. Love my Switch.
@SortingHat If I want something this size there's not much alternative sadly. But I guess putting that €100 towards 4 Zelda amiibo might be better spent.
Edit: bit harsh calling people idiots for wanting a thing. You own one of these yourself.
Fantastic game but I don't play it enough anymore to be good at this level. Plus I'm not Stateside. I enjoyed my 100 hours or so with the game but at this point I'll be waiting for Splat3.
@theflowergarden the fact that all these micro transactions are purely for cosmetic items though surely counts for something. I can buy this game for €20 and never pay another cent again for it. Every purchase is optional and offers no effects on gameplay to someone else. It's purely to jazz up their avatar if they want to. I can understand some of the hate certain micro transactions get (loot box type) but these are nothing like that.
@Phostachio Why should it be F2P though? This is what I can never understand. Not having a go at you, I just don't understand why a particular game like this should be free.
This will please some people who were panicing about where the game was going probably. I was just enjoying throwing my balls at peoples face............what?!
Love the game but don't see a need for me to get the DLC for a few costumes and difficulty level. More story would have been a bigger incentive for me.
Day One purchase. This game wasn't on my radar since I didn't think it would be on a platform I have. Great news, I can get excited for it now. @Pak-Man nope, if you've got decent Internet you'll be fine.
Me as a 10 year old: I want to get those trading cards cos its fun to collect and trade them. 10 year olds today: this trading card will likely increase in value in years to come. Better invest.
Expectations are rock bottom for this. There's been so many poor Directs in the last 2 years I'm not expecting any different this time. Will watch it for sure though.

Re: Tag Heuer Teases Exclusive Limited-Edition Super Mario Collab
@BloodNinja I will never financially recover from this haha.
Re: Tag Heuer Teases Exclusive Limited-Edition Super Mario Collab
@BloodNinja I've already agreed this was probably a bad example. What more would you like me to say?

Re: Gallery: First 4 Figures' Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Link Takes Aim
Ordered zelda and link one just there from a different website. Arriving next week. Expensive but good day.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 10th)
Mario Golf, Knockout City and Red Dead 2.
Re: Tag Heuer Teases Exclusive Limited-Edition Super Mario Collab
@Xeacons I'm not comparing the 2, I'm just saying some people spend money on things that others can't understand why they would do that. That's all.
Re: Tag Heuer Teases Exclusive Limited-Edition Super Mario Collab
@TheAwesomeBowser These same people probably can't understand why someone would pay thousands for a gaming PC. Each to their own.
Re: Fancy A Switch OLED For £800? Scalpers Are Already Flogging Pre-Orders

Re: Where To Pre-Order Nintendo Switch OLED Model
Thankfully my 2017 Switch is still in good health. Can hold onto my money for now.

Re: Review: Worms Rumble - Fun Traversal, But A Limited Battle Royale Spin-Off
Heard there was serious framerate issues with Switch version too when things get busy on screen. Might try it out on GamePass sometime in the future.

@Phostachio each to their own. I'd rather pay €20 to have fun now than wait 5 years to save €20.
Re: Knockout City Roadmap Details Upcoming Content - Season 2, New Map And More
@Phostachio it was a long time before Rocket League went F2P. It released in 2015. Only went F2P last year.

Love the game but don't see a need for me to get the DLC for a few costumes and difficulty level. More story would have been a bigger incentive for me.
Re: New Nintendo Infographic Shows Every Game Featured During The E3 Direct
3 games for me:
Guardians of the Galaxy, Worms Rumble and Metroid.
Re: Roundup: Here's What Was Revealed In Nintendo Direct E3 2021
Metroid, Worms and Guardians of the Galaxy were the big ones for me. Day one purchases.
Re: Nintendo's Digital Deals Sale Is Now Live, Up To 75% Off Hundreds Of Switch Games
@sunkenFool would much rather if the Irish site was connected to an EU page rather than .co.uk page.
Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Expansion Pass Kicks Off This Week
I'm on the last section of the game. I'd only be interested in DLC if there was more story.

Re: Poll: How Hyped Are You For Nintendo's E3 Direct?
Expectations are low. Hoping its good but not expecting it to be.
Re: Rumour: Major Ubisoft Switch Exclusive Could Make An E3 Appearance
Loved the original but it got too tricky towards the end and I never finished it. Would definitely give a new one a go.

Loved the FIFA games in the first 2 years of Switch. I've since found other ways to play the full version games portably so I've jumped ship though.
