@Jackpaza0508 this was my first thought too. People seem to have money burning a whole in their pocket they can't wait to get rid of. I'd rather spend money on games than consoles. I approve this news. Love my Switch.

Enjoying Mario Golf so far. Multiplayer wih friends is where it shines.

Must boot this up again.

@SortingHat If I want something this size there's not much alternative sadly. But I guess putting that €100 towards 4 Zelda amiibo might be better spent.

Glad to see any Tekken character in the roster. My fav fighting series.

Fantastic game but I don't play it enough anymore to be good at this level. Plus I'm not Stateside.
I enjoyed my 100 hours or so with the game but at this point I'll be waiting for Splat3.

@theflowergarden the fact that all these micro transactions are purely for cosmetic items though surely counts for something. I can buy this game for €20 and never pay another cent again for it. Every purchase is optional and offers no effects on gameplay to someone else. It's purely to jazz up their avatar if they want to.
I can understand some of the hate certain micro transactions get (loot box type) but these are nothing like that.

Heard there was serious framerate issues with Switch version too when things get busy on screen. Might try it out on GamePass sometime in the future.

@Phostachio Why should it be F2P though? This is what I can never understand. Not having a go at you, I just don't understand why a particular game like this should be free.

@Phostachio it was a long time before Rocket League went F2P. It released in 2015. Only went F2P last year.

This will please some people who were panicing about where the game was going probably. I was just enjoying throwing my balls at peoples face............what?!

Love the game but don't see a need for me to get the DLC for a few costumes and difficulty level. More story would have been a bigger incentive for me.

3 games for me:
Guardians of the Galaxy, Worms Rumble and Metroid.

Metroid, Worms and Guardians of the Galaxy were the big ones for me. Day one purchases.

I'm on the last section of the game. I'd only be interested in DLC if there was more story.

Day One purchase. This game wasn't on my radar since I didn't think it would be on a platform I have. Great news, I can get excited for it now.

Loved the original but it got too tricky towards the end and I never finished it. Would definitely give a new one a go.

Loved the FIFA games in the first 2 years of Switch. I've since found other ways to play the full version games portably so I've jumped ship though.

Me as a 10 year old: I want to get those trading cards cos its fun to collect and trade them.
10 year olds today: this trading card will likely increase in value in years to come. Better invest.

Expectations are rock bottom for this. There's been so many poor Directs in the last 2 years I'm not expecting any different this time. Will watch it for sure though.

@JokerCK It's included on Gamepass so it's gonna get a big user base from the start from there alone. Plus the free trial has converted plenty from being on the fence to buying it. Like myself. Only €20 too. Great price.

I've only replayed a handful of games ever. Probably less than 5.

Knockout City is the best game I've played in ages. Highly recommend. Haven't played 64 player Bomberman in months. Must jump back in and try it again. I feel it's gonna be much tougher to get Bomber One now with all the extra players playing.

Ah well, missed it. To be honest I'm kinda done with the game. Seems like the dlc is just more of the same.

I've heard the Switch Pro sounds like Liam Neeson chasing a load of hens around inside a barrel. It also has a fear of stamps.

Gamestop Ireland have had the same pre order promotion up for a few weeks now. I've mine booked. Can't wait for them to deliver it 3 weeks after the game launches.

@presenttense correction, we will all TRY to buy one. No doubt there will be stock issues and scalpers again.

@BaronMunchausen the game is on GamePass for Xbox users and since its crossplay those people at least will always pad out the player base. But this game is reviewing so well and most people are loving it I can see it lasting a long time. €20 is very cheap too for a new game of this quality.

Great game. Highly recommend. Hopefully people can look past their EA bias and just see if they enjoy it.

@ATaco yep reddit for sure. And twitter is arguably worse. I think I've only ever blocked one or 2 people ever on any forum and that was because they were just being an idiot rather than me just disagreeing with them.

@johnvboy this is how the Internet works now. You block out the noise you disagree with and surround yourself with noise you do agree with to make you feel like you are always right. It's a shame.

If people don't like it, don't buy it. You might say the practice is crappy, but that's Nintendo's choice. They don't have to give you this feature for free. They own it, if they want to try and make money this way, good for them. As a consumer if you don't like it, don't give them your money.

Gonna try out Knockout City. Seems to be a mix of Splatoon meets Outcasters. And I like both of those games. Plus it's free so why not try it!

Played the base game, loved it, but got stuck on a chapter near the end and never went back to it. Must close this one out. Highly recommend if you loved the world and characters of BOTW.

Looks cool. Hopefully down the line they release some retro liveries. Would love a 1998 or 1999 Jordan car to drive around in.

Started playing Red Dead 2 recently and that is looking like it might take 2nd place.

Play this game regularly with my mates on our Games Nights. Great fun!
