Re: Dynasty Warriors: Origins Will Run At A "Fixed" 30fps On Switch 2

@PinderSchloss Okay but that was back then more common during the Wii, 3DS eras. Nowadays people want the same version on all platforms.

Take EA FIFA. The Switch version of that is completely different from the Xbox One and PS4 version counterparts. It has much less content compared to those 2 BUT it was cheaper and it ran well. But yet people still complained because they didn't get the same game on the Switch despite it having the same name.

And then when EA FC came to Switch, the game ran worse compared to FIFA legacy editions BUT it was feature parity (for the most part) with other consoles.

Making 3rd party games specifically for one console may have been the norm during the Wii and 3DS eras but that is just not as common anymore.

@PinderSchloss But you should know that the Switch 2 is no way just as powerful as a PS5 or an Xbox Series X is. This is already well known among almost everyone.

If you put a PS5 game on the less powerful Nintendo Switch 2, do expect cutbacks in terms of visuals, performance and what not. That is just how it is.

If the Switch 2 was just as powerful as a PS5 then that is a different story.

If you're buying it on Switch 1, keep in note that it is at 720p 60 FPS on both handheld and docked mode.

Also the physical version will be out in November (and its on a full cartridge, no GKC).

Also the physical version works on Switch 1 but you can't use the upgrade pack (because that is for Switch 2).

6O MINUTES? Thats 1 hour. Should be lot of stuff in there.

I expect some first party (both Switch 1 and 2 perhaps), some 3rd party (both as well) but who knows.

I am hoping for Resident Evil for Switch 2 and still have the hope of PS1 trilogy releasing on the Switch 1. And ofc a Super Mario collection.

Also Nintendo, why do you hate us folks who live in the West Coast??? 6 AM AGAIN 😡😡😡

@gcunit I watched a SwitchUp review of it.

Performance and resolution on both Switch 1 and 2 versions of Silksong are good on both consoles.

Differences just bottle down to technical differences. Switch 2 version can run at 120 fps while Switch 1 runs it at 60 fps. Switch 2 version in dock can run at 4K, while Switch 1 version in dock runs at 1080p.

Overall, resolution and performance on both Switch 1 and 2 versions of Silksong are great.
