@SBandy1 So basically the Game Key card thing works like the PS and Xbox disc games where all of it isn't completely on disc.

@Porkins Its coming to Nintendo Switch 1 as well. Hades 2 isn't launching alongside with the Switch 2 anyway. And considering the game is coming to Switch 1, well they can always good sales numbers from that (along with PC).

@Unit_DTH iirc did they also sell the Wii U at a loss at first as well?

@Overzeal The only console they pretty much abandoned outright was the Wii U (and for reasons that are understandable) and that was ONCE the Switch came out and became a big success. At least the Wii U had one last hurrah (which was BOTW).

@Yosher yeah the PS2 and PS4 had a big install base too. So its gonna take some time to transition.

Not sure what’s the comparison, all Doug is saying they will support the original Switch for the foreseeable future. Didn’t the PS2 still get games until like around 2012? It’s kinda like that!!!

So not sure what’s the comparison is. Also 450 isn't a bad price, the game price is something to debate about but the console price ain’t bad.

@Serpenterror More likely they're gonna launch the game digitally first and probably release the game physically next year or so.

@DarkTron Some people thought it was gonna be a multiplatform release at launch AND some people thought it was gonna be a Switch 2 console exclusive.

And both are wrong because

1. It is a console exclusive to Nintendo

2. Hades 2 is coming to Nintendo Switch 1 as well as NS2.

2025 GOTY right here!!! Glad its coming to the original Switch because I plan on getting Hades 2 on that. Hopefully it runs really well on it (Hades 1 did after all)

Nintendo is right. I am just gonna wait for the Switch 2 after some months or maybe a year. I will take my time and just wait for some time.

@Mariotag No he didn’t. The 0% tariff isn’t good enough according to a WH advisor because of things like Chinese goods getting routed through Vietnam.

So will the hardware price be lowered or not? That remains to be seen but there is a chance it can be lowered, but at the same there is a chance it can be increased.

Variable pricing is interesting. However, If they do show off a lot, then maybe 80 dollars could be worth it. Maybe.

@Sakhasm not all of them are paid. A number of them are free.

Also some of the games on PlayStation, you have to pay an upgrade fee iirc. So it’s really nothing different and new.
