I LOVE their DF Retro videos

I am still in the Diablo 2 grasp, and I do not see that going away in the near future I am farming like crazy for that Enigma runeword!

However, to break the farming madness I will play short bursts of Mortal Kombat 1 and Mutation Nation (amazing nostalgia coming from this one!)

Game key-cards is the biggest mistake for the Switch 2.

I want to see the publishers being punished for game key-cards. I want them to be on the bottom of the sell charts.

At this point if I want a handheld console that is all digital I will stick to my Steam Deck. The Switch 1 successor launch is disappointing for me.

Still waiting for Elden Ring physical official news to decide.

My wish: Game key-cards will be used in absolute edge cases like the game is bigger than the max size card.

Reality: Game key cards are so damn good! Every game will be on game key-card and you will like it! The publishers are our top priority, not the gamers! We know you will buy anything from us, fools!

My addiction for Diablo 2 kicked in ... again!
This game is a masterpiece! I just beat Hell difficulty with my paladin and now I am on my sorceress on the 3rd act in Hell.

On the side (IF Diablo 2 let me!) I will play Ghost of Tsushima and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. I have never played Stalker before, only watched it. I hope for some Fallout-ish experience

@Oldstalk Switch The retail steelbox is much better than the one is the LRG release. When I saw it, I canceled my LRG order and got this one instead

This weekend I will play Soul Reaver 1. I have never played it back in the day so this will be a new experience for me.

I will start a second run of Chronicles of the Wolf on PS5 this time. The replay value is poor BUT the environments are awesome!

And for nostalgia I will see where I was in Link Between Worlds

Also, I want to play some Super Castlevania IV in retro style with the old controller and no save states

I have a suspicion that each stability update will figure out new and creative ways to ban consoles

Game key-cards should ONLY be used for games that are LARGER than the maximum card capacity.

Everything else is anti-consumer practice and being cheap.

I liked the game, but it got 2 big criticisms from me:

1. The boss/enemy technical design was rather simple. Big boss that stands or moves left to right and spits projectiles is an example.

2. The weapon system is really linear - the weapon type is only getting stronger as the game progresses, and the lack of weakness/strength system is hurting the variety of attacks.
For example, weapons that you get in the mid-game are absolute when you get a weapon that is just sitting in a corridor in the late-game area where you must pass anyway.

I get it as the engine and the main gameplay + menus are 1:1 as Castlevania The Lecarde Chronicles 2 (the last FAN Castlevania game from MIG).

Other than that, the worldbuilding is amazing!

@SteveDaSteve Most of those stores are dying just like the proper physical media.

And I want the main focus of Nintendo to be us not the publishers. If they can't sell us the proper physical versions, they should stick to the eShop only.

Code-in-a-box should also be abolished.

@SteveDaSteve Those are mostly for the clueless people that bought games without researching them or for parents that bought them as gifts.

Believe it or not retail gaming stores are not filled with gamers only. I often see parents even grandparents buy games as gifts in the retailers in my country.

Oh, and you can resell normal physical games that are not designed for publishers that want to make profit with plastic DRM crap.

The last good thing that came out from Microsoft was the Xbox 360. What a gaming failure they are now.

Key-cards deserve no sales.

The only thing they say in order to deem them as good is resale which is stupid because:

1. People who buy digital do not care about resale as they want the convenience.
2. People who buy physical do not care about resale as they want to own a media with a playable build on it.

This is done specifically for publishers who want to have retail presence and still charge US as if their game is physical.

I really hope publishers who use this media lose MONEY, lots of money!

@ozwally Nope. It is not confirmed officially. Play-Asia has listed it as a key-card, but when I contacted them, they said it is a placeholder as no distributor has the info on the game.

I think that if Elden Ring is on a key-card I have no reason to buy a Switch 2 as the Nintendo games right now have 0 interest for me.

They could always put the base game on the cart and the expansion as a download like they did with the PS5 edition!

This is a good budget edition compared to the LRG. But the LRG shadowbox playing Bloody Tears is always making me push the button when I look at it

Also, I like every game I own, to be all in English including the extras and box art

This weekend I will play Sanitarium on the Steam Deck and record the journey in screenshots.

On the PS5 I will play some Baldur's Gate 3 (it pains me that I have Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 but never played them seriously).

On the Switch I will start a fresh character in Titan Quest

And I will draw some assets for my game because I am way behind anything there

In times like these, every time I see a physical release announced of any game I smile.

@CammyUnofficial oh no I wait because of the Ultimate Edition for the Switch. I already got it for PS5.

In August I have to get my order from LRG and I will finally have all Castlevania related stuff from them

It is really nice that people can freely get the standard physical versions!

I will definitely get this as I loved both Little Nightmares 1 and 2.

And seeing Bandai Namco physical releases for the Switch 2, now I have hopes for Elden Ring to not be a key-card

Unfortunately, the people who do not care about key-cards are the ones that just like to consume. I mean you can't blame a person who just go through a game and forgets it afterwards.

Then resale it to the next consumer and the cycle goes on.

I do not like such media because I prefer to keep my games just as people like to keep their books.

@Ellie-Moo It is a good game, but I have some gripes with it. Mainly the gameplay and the systems in it. If you played Lecarde Chronicles 2 (a fan Castlevania game also made by Mig) it is almost the same game.

The standout is the world and the environments. The graphics are also looking nice.

The Switch 2 is a real winner but my problem with it are the publishers.

I hope they all fall in line soon.

This weekend I will play and finish Chronicles of the Wolf! I got both the Switch 1 and the PS5 copies just to support the indie Castlevania fan Migami (Mig Perez).

On the site I have the great Castlevania Chronicles which in Arranged mode on easier difficulty is playable otherwise it is one of the hardest Castlevania games out there!

And in Resident Evil 4 Remake I am about to exit the Village area.

A fantastic game and I hope that means they will bring it to the Switch 2.

A complete edition with the DLC on cartridge will make me buy it again!

Actually, with the Switch 2 I worry more about what the case holds than that it looks like

I love how many of those releases include the whole game on the cart for Switch 1 but on Switch 2 they choose key-cards

I really hope they do not make many sales from those key-cards.

Anyway, with the pushing of key-cards I hope MIG becomes undetectable, and people are able to make physical versions of the games they want.

This weekend I am treating myself with Castlevania Symphony of the Night on its original hardware! (FINALLY!) That's right! "What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets!" and all that!

On the side I will be blasting in Serious Sam: The First Encounter and some Diablo-like gaming in Heroes of Ruin!

Another key-card trash

@Mesozoic_Masquerade Can you tell me how companies can restrict my license on the N64, NES, SNES, PS1, PS2 cartridges and discs? They go into your house at night and take them away so you can't play them?

Same goes for a PS4/5 or a Switch that is not online and you have a full game on the cartridge or installation discs.

If it does not require a server connection, HOW can they take away the game from your physical library that is self-sufficient to play without any external requirements?

@Suketoudara This is not a good argument for physical and digital media.

In the same matter I can say that playing game roms on emulators on my Steam Deck is the same game from the eShop and it plays the same.

@Ooccoo_Jr The big negative for me is that I do not own the game I bought unlike the releases that are full on the cart. I prefer ownership of that little chip and what is on it. In this case there is nothing on it. It is a plastic DRM key and nothing more.

Same with the DRM key-discs.

I simply want the physical media to contain the basic release version of the software I bought. Nothing more, nothing less.

This move is done out of pure marketing greed.

Shelf space is the big reason to do this without investing in manufacturing a large cartridge. So clueless moms and dads buy this crap for their kids or as gifts, as we know they do not browse the eShop for that stuff

Key-card is the worst of both worlds, all the "inconvenience" of the physical and all of the "requirements" of the digital.

Sometimes it is good to be a late adopter I did the same with my Switch 1.

But I guess that Mario Kart is like an illegal substance to some people

Nope. I can't say goodbye to one of the best generations in gaming. Also, the Switch 2 BC might not be as good as they market it.

And the Switch 1 is so compatible that space is not an issue with this little gem.

Ah and the Switch 2 still does not have many games that interest me. The only one that stands out is Cyberpunk 2077 as I am not a HUGE fan of Mario Kart.

This weekend I will have some tries at Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles and Castlevania Legacy of Darkness! This year I have beat many Castlevania games for the first time so training to be better in more is my goal

On the side I have Quake 1 and Cyber Shadow
