The trackpads are not only for point and click adventures and strategy games as most people think. The capability for FPS games (especially older ones) is amazing!
I got the 64GB storage and got a cheap SSD of 256GB almost immediately. The best part is that it does not void the warranty if I change it myself
@Ooyah May I ask why the ROG Ally and not a Steam Deck? I mean I got the Deck over the ROG JUST for the trackpads that allow for so much more control and tinkering!
@mlt Did they say they are working on a sequel? I either forgot or missed it
I do not know about new ideas because:
1. The shard system is straight copy from CV Aria of Sorrow. 2. The crafting of weapons where you fuse shard with a weapon to make it new or final form straight copy of CV Dawn of Sorrow crafting system. 3. The one cool thing is the spell making the world upside down which is a nod to the inverted Castle in Symphony of the Night. 4. Oh, and the Alucard fanservice copy had me laughing. 5. Miriam is another copy of Shanoa.
I felt that Iga did not even try with this one
It seems like I am crapping on the game too much I am a zealot when it comes to the RPG CV games and RotN just can't rank higher than any of them.
I finished it twice with 100% completion and I felt that they should continue making the Curse of the Moon saga because they are the better games of this new franchise.
This weekend will be the start of my fight against laziness! I am cleaning up my project and starting to actively make additions to my game Castletoria!
In the meantime, I will casually continue with Echoes of Wisdom and the Half-Life port on the PS2
@mlt When we talk lack of polish RotN is like in number one spot. And I am not talking about the performance. The overall atmosphere of the game feels rushed and put together with duct tape. I mean 3 of the areas are "(something) Sorcery Lab" and they are so disjointed from the rest of the Castle.
SotN has flaws but they are negligent in the main view. That is why it is labelled masterpiece. RotN will never reach that kind of level unfortunately.
My main flaws (with SotN) are that in a certain point it is too easy, most of the bosses do not last much and there is no new game + mode.
I still fail to understand why RotN physical edition has DRM on the Switch. I mean if you never linked your account to a Nintendo account you can't play your cartridge until you link it.
And on top of that if I do not count the terrible optimization and the DRM the game is like a 5/10. Not bad but not good either.
@Friendly SotN would crush the sales on the Switch (and Switch 2).
@Vidikron That is what I am wondering as well! The original was released on the Xbox 360. I have lost faith in Konami about Castlevania, they just hold the IP now and the others do the actual work.
@Friendly It is not that easy. SotN runs on emulator created by Sony on the modern consoles. I guess there are probably MANY obstacles, but money is the biggest one.
I think we underestimate just how GREEDY companies are They do not care about fan wishes. They probably did the math, and it is still not enough for them ...
@FunGuy Yes, Sony paid for Requiem themselves, and they do not want it on any other current platform. The SotN version in the Requiem collection is the PSP version with the new voice acting. I think the same goes for Rondo. It is kind of exclusive and it is made with Sony's money.
Unfortunately, I do not see this happening unless someone throw a huge bag of money at them.
I am saying that one does not influence the gaming industry, and the other one is.
What a country is making in their own borders is none of my business. Even as horrible as it is.
It is in the human nature to be cruel and that will never change. And I doubt that Nintendo will let them influence their business. As I said they just want a good return on their investments.
UNFORTUNATELY the delivery of Echoes of Wisdom is late, and I will get it probably on Monday I wanted it for tomorrow as it is the second half of my birthday present from my wife, the first one being the Meta Quest 3 :
Anyway, this weekend I will juggle between Resident Evil 2 Remake VR and Half-Life 2 VR. Those experiences are fantastic! And I love playing them in little bites! Instead of worrying about motion sickness, now I worry about Mr. X chasing me
I will also try Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon as I saw that it is hilarious!
And last but not least, The Last Faith A good mix of Blasphemous and Bloodborne
I am a simple gamer. I need those things to enjoy a game:
1. Is the game playable even if it has frame rate stutters? 2. Can I finish the game without any post launch patches (just from the physical media IF it has one)?
This weekend will be exciting for me as I entered the world of VR, and my first experience was to find a way to conquer motion sickness And I can gladly say that now I can play with smooth movement without wanting to puke!
So, I am playing one of my favorite games EVER Half-Life 2 but in VR! I am about to enter the buggy section of the game! Short sessions in VR is the key to enjoyment!
In the meantime, I will continue with Resident Evil Village and Skyward Sword
@Olliemar28 Absolutely agree that it should be rare, and this collection deserves it, as those games were previously exclusive on a touchpad handhelds and are now tweaked a bit for EVERYONE to enjoy!
PS: I am overzealous Castlevania fan, but you already know that
I have started the Darksiders franchise again, so Darksiders Warmastered edition is first. Currently I am in the Iron Canopy making my way to Silitha. My plan is to beat all 4 Darksiders games on the Switch
I will continue my last playthrough of Resident Evil Village, this time on the PS5.
And a little dash of retro nostalgia with Faxanadu on the NES. This is one of the best hidden gems in gaming

Re: Castlevania Dominus Collection Lands New Update, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Samalik yes, Konami does not want to figure it out, that is why they rely on others to port for them.
In our unfortunate case, one of the most beloved titles is in Sony's hands
Re: Castlevania Dominus Collection Lands New Update, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Samalik Hmm how? Dracula X Chronicles is exclusive to the PSP and I am pretty sure that Sony will not let it go from its exclusivity.
Also have you seen Castlevania Lament of Innocence being ported? Nope because again, it is a PS2 exclusive.
The only previously exclusive Castlevania games we can play now on current hardware were on Sega, Nintendo and Arcade.
Sony will never let it go (Sad Elsa sounds)

So, this spooky weekend I will start with Castlevania Order of Ecclesia
I will play some Resident Evil 4 Remake and also continue my playthrough of Echoes of Wisdom!
Happy gaming everyone!!!

Still better than Sweet Baby Inc.
I am sure that they will not do anything to the gaming industry. They just want a good return on their investments. Money is money.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (5th October)
This weekend the main thing is The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom! It is fantastic!!!
I am also getting addicted to Majesty 2 again and I managed to run it on the Steam Deck!
And I still did not finish Half-Life 2 and Resident Evil 2 on the VR.
In HL2 I am about to escape Nova Prospect and in RE2 I am in the sewers with Leon
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Re: Poll: Resident Evil 6 Turns 12 - Does It Really Deserve Its Dire Reputation?
Terrible RE game. I was not a fan of RE5 as well but compared to 6 it is a masterpiece!
The only saving grace is the first half of Leon's campaign.
Also, the RE6 logo is a giraffe forcing a human to do naughty sexual things!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th September)
@CazSonOfCaz I am playing Half-Life 2 VR not Alyx I waiting for Alyx, Skyrim VR and Fallout 4 VR to be discounted
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th September)
@Rockboy247 Actually Quest 3S is ready for pre-order and it is a lite version of the Quest 3. Really budget friendly at 299$ for the 128GB version.
It is not as good as the Quest 3, but many people are hyped for it, and it is a HUGE upgrade over the Quest 2!

I loved Link's Awakening so I am sure I will love this too!

Re: Review: Castlevania Dominus Collection (Switch) - The Strongest Konami Compilation Yet
@Antraxx777 Yes, the 4 levels are reused but they have different atmosphere about them.
So, I agree to disagree
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (31st August)
This weekend I will pick up Resident Evil 8 Village again.
Some Castlevania Aria of Sorrow will also be played yet again!
And for some retro vibes StarCraft 64 and Resident Evil 3 Nemesis!
Have a nice weekend everyone!
Re: Review: Castlevania Dominus Collection (Switch) - The Strongest Konami Compilation Yet
@Serpenterror Sony paid for SotN and Rondo re-releases and they want it only on their consoles. This is the sad truth

It should've been a 10! Are you telling me that IF OG Haunted was NOT in there and ONLY the Revisited version it would have been a 10?
Come on
Re: Castlevania Dominus Collection Physical Release Confirmed, Pre-Orders Open Next Month
@EarthboundBenjy Something must've happened on the way because I received my Ultimate edition months ago!
Open a ticket immediately!
Re: Castlevania Dominus Collection Physical Release Confirmed, Pre-Orders Open Next Month
Ecclesia cover for PS5.
And for the Switch I think that they will give us ALL of the covers in the Collector's Edition like in the previous releases!
Re: 'Castlevania Dominus Collection' Brings Three DS Classics To Switch Today
Waiting for the inevitable LRG release. I want another Castlevania Ultimate edition!!!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (24th August)
@Tasuki If you do not mind, please let me know, when you try Horn of the Abyss, and tell me if you liked it
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (24th August)
@Tasuki WoW and HoMM should be considered highly addictive drugs!
Still I love them both!!!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (24th August)
I will have a nice relaxing gaming weekend with:
1. Heroes of Might and Magic 3 Horn of the Abyss on the Steam Deck
2. Machinarium - such a wonderful point and click adventure
3. Post game web swinging in Spider-Man 2!
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Re: Blasphemous Dev Reveals New Tactical Stealth Adventure For Switch
@Pipulitoch The regular retail version HAS a download available for it.
Fixed the phrasing because reading it people might think that you can't play the game if you do not download the patch.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (17th August)
After Darksiders 1 and I am steadily progressing in Darksiders 2! Currently on a hunt for dead lords that went rogue!
Short bursts of Baldur's Gate 3, still feels weird to play that game when I have played so little of 1 and 2.
More short bursts of Painkiller as I absolute LOVE the atmosphere of the levels!!!
And finally, just a small game time dedicated to Pokemon FireRed in memory of Rachael Lillis.
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Re: Random: Donkey Kong Country 3 Fan Creates Incredible Epoxy Resin Statue
I do not like DK but those water effects are amazing.
Re: Rachael Lillis, Voice Actor For Pokémon's Misty And Jessie, Has Passed Away
Damn ... that is sad! I grew up with her performances as Misty and Jessie. Cancer is horrible!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (10th August)

Re: DOOM Anthology Revealed For Switch - Includes Six Games And Replica BFG, Pre-Orders Now Live
I have ALL of the DooM games on physical cartridges for the Switch so that is of NO interest to me.
The BFG replica is cool
Re: Round Up: Every Nintendo Reveal And More At THQ Nordic's 2024 Showcase
I am hyped for Titan Quest II! I loved the first one. And I see they have included 2-handing weapons!
More Darksiders is always good!
Gothic Remake looks amazing as well!
I was hoping for a port of Sacred 2 Ice & Blood
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (3rd August)
@Yousef- Thank you! Steam Deck FTW!!!
