Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (11th January)

Zuljaras

@TYRANACLES I've actually never seen that Spartan Total Warrior.

As for Castlevania, for me this is THE BEST thing to ever grace the gaming as a whole. I mean it I love Resident Evil, Diablo, Warcraft, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Zelda BUT Castlevania is my absolute pinnacle of gaming experience

And yes, beside the amazing hardware Nintendo offers, apart from Zelda, Metroid and Pokemon (with the exception of S&V) I find it hard to enjoy other games like Mario, Kirby(blahh), Bayonetta or Donkey Kong. I mean Mario is cool and I used to play it but now not so much. Maybe I should try Mario 64

And the last 2 years I was really into the Souls series.

TL DR: I really don't like kids games. There are small percentage of kids games that I like to play Toki, Bubble Bobble, Monster Boy, Snow Bros.

Update: Oh, I forgot to add on the how many times I've beaten them ... well many. Each GBA Castlevania at least 15-20 times. Same goes for the DS games and SOTN. The classic games I've only beaten CV1, CV2 and Super CV IV one time each. The RE game I've beaten RE2R and RE8 the most. The rest maybe 2-3 times each with the exception of RE3 Nemesis. I am yet to beat it but first I want to finish Claire A/Leon B scenario in RE2 Original. Oh, and I forgot that I am yet to beat CV Curse of Darkness and Lament of Innocence, but I am progressing that on the Steam Deck.

I also started doing a screenshot journey of each game I beat and put it in an external HDD archive. Some games take about 300 screenshots, but Elden Ring took 1261 and Skyrim took around 1100 just for examples I it a really satisfying hobby! And the console's dedicated buttons for taking screenshots really makes it easy

@Rainz no deal although I might consider making a deal for a PAL copy of Castlevania Symphony of the Night

Otherwise I was asked that before. The NL team put that article in a VERY convenient time for me, and ofc I know the time.

The moment they change it and I will not be the first one or when I am on a vacation ofc

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (11th January)

Zuljaras

@Ganner Haha
What you see is simply what I like to play. I try to find games online and buy them. I definitely do not have every game.

For example on the N64 I have like 7 games. Yes obscure ones but all awesome.

Oh I do not have the Tiger thing

My collection is not as big as it sounds. The most games I own are on the Switch. I have a list of games I would like to own and I try to follow it. Nostalgia is hell of a drug ... but a good one!

Re: Feature: 8 Games That Defined The Switch Generation

Zuljaras

I agree that The Witcher 3 is the impossible port, but I would argue that the DooM(2016) and DooM Eternal are just as important. I would knock off Pokemon V&S as they give absolutely nothing defining the Switch era. I repeat they give ZERO defining elements to the Switch

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (11th January)

Zuljaras

I have started Claire A run in Resident Evil 2 N64 ... finally! On my way to meet with chief Irons and Sherry. It is a JOY to play this on the N64. The controls are so comfortable!

Also exited to start Silent Hill 2 Remake! I have never finished a Silent Hill game, so I am starting tomorrow and continuing through the week

And on the side some Titan Quest on the Switch, another fantastic game!

Castlevania Curse of Darkness is on standby for the next week

Have a great gaming weekend, everyone!

Re: Physical Game Sales Took A Nosedive In The UK Last Year

Zuljaras

@BANJO I am sitting at 225 physical Switch games now And even more are coming. I guess I will have a lovely elderhood with that backlog

I have to count them again or even make a spreadsheet to keep track of what I have.

BUT I never buy a game I did not like. I always look at videos, images and articles. Research is key

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (4th January)

Zuljaras

Continuing with The Witcher 3 Currently, I am leaving Ciri's trail from the Skellige Isles and going back to Velen for the ugly Uma. Enjoying the journey but there is more talking than fighting

I have started Castlevania Curse of Darkness on my Steam Deck as it is my preferred way to play it because the default camera controls on the PS2 is TERRIBLE for this game. I have never finished it because of that so I am really enjoying it now! It is a shame that a Castlevania fanatic like me never finished the game! Next on the list will be Lament of Innocence but I have to find it first.

And on the Switch, I am starting Project Warlock again. This time I am making my "screenshot journeys" with this title (as with every other game) even ordered an external HDD to keep my archive safe

HAPPY gaming everyone!

Zuljaras

This weekend I am pulling the trigger on The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt I have previously played it for like an hour. Now I will be more committed!

Also playing some Resident Evil Deadly Silence (after beating RE2 Remake yet again ) and some Shadowgate but without a guide to see how many game over screens I can get

Happy gaming everyone and happy holidays!

Re: Castlevania Dominus Collection Lands New Update, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Zuljaras

Some people are deprived of logic I see.

A limited run is made for a specific time window and after that the production begins. How could they add a patch to the cartridges? It is not like it is a game breaking change like with DooM Classic Collection that they offered a recall.

I do not see people crying when patches are not added to the standard retail collector editions after launch.

And the funny part is that people are not even forced to buy those physical limited releases.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (14th December)

Zuljaras

This weekend I will continue my playthrough of The Minish Cap that I started so long ago

And I will start a fresh run of Kingdoms of Amalur.

I will get some quick nostalgia shots of Faxanadu.

And finally replay again Resident Evil 2. I do not know what is making me replay this game so much ... oh that's right it is so damn GOOD!!!

Happy gaming everyone!!!

This weekend I will continue with Half-Life Alyx. It will be an understatement to say this is the BEST gaming experience in VR. I am only on Chapter 4 and can't wait to see what happens next!

In the meantime, I will blast some baddies in Quake I Do some puzzle in Layers of Fear And bring back some memories with WarCraft II

Have a nice gaming weekend people!!!

@Rockboy247 I was extremely skeptical of VR, and the Quest 3 is the first time I have ever looked through a VR set ... it is amazing!!!

The lenses are really good even though it is not OLED like the PS5 still it looks GOOD!

The passthrough is cool but I mostly stay in games. Currently only 3 games but still

If you are on a budget look up the Quest 3S. The lenses are not the quality of the Quest 3 but the processor is the same

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (19th October)

Zuljaras

@Ooyah I hope the specs are worth it

The trackpads are not only for point and click adventures and strategy games as most people think. The capability for FPS games (especially older ones) is amazing!

I got the 64GB storage and got a cheap SSD of 256GB almost immediately. The best part is that it does not void the warranty if I change it myself

I wish the ROG works best for you

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Update 1.6 Arriving On Switch Next Week

Zuljaras

@mlt Did they say they are working on a sequel? I either forgot or missed it

I do not know about new ideas because:

1. The shard system is straight copy from CV Aria of Sorrow.
2. The crafting of weapons where you fuse shard with a weapon to make it new or final form straight copy of CV Dawn of Sorrow crafting system.
3. The one cool thing is the spell making the world upside down which is a nod to the inverted Castle in Symphony of the Night.
4. Oh, and the Alucard fanservice copy had me laughing.
5. Miriam is another copy of Shanoa.

I felt that Iga did not even try with this one

It seems like I am crapping on the game too much I am a zealot when it comes to the RPG CV games and RotN just can't rank higher than any of them.

I finished it twice with 100% completion and I felt that they should continue making the Curse of the Moon saga because they are the better games of this new franchise.

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Update 1.6 Arriving On Switch Next Week

Zuljaras

@mlt When we talk lack of polish RotN is like in number one spot. And I am not talking about the performance. The overall atmosphere of the game feels rushed and put together with duct tape. I mean 3 of the areas are "(something) Sorcery Lab" and they are so disjointed from the rest of the Castle.

SotN has flaws but they are negligent in the main view. That is why it is labelled masterpiece. RotN will never reach that kind of level unfortunately.

My main flaws (with SotN) are that in a certain point it is too easy, most of the bosses do not last much and there is no new game + mode.

Re: Castlevania Dominus Collection Lands New Update, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Zuljaras

@Samalik Hmm how? Dracula X Chronicles is exclusive to the PSP and I am pretty sure that Sony will not let it go from its exclusivity.

Also have you seen Castlevania Lament of Innocence being ported? Nope because again, it is a PS2 exclusive.

The only previously exclusive Castlevania games we can play now on current hardware were on Sega, Nintendo and Arcade.

Sony will never let it go (Sad Elsa sounds)
