That looks like too much of a tight fit for Hideki Kamiya.
Apart from that, they look pretty cool
Covid blocked.
So strange to see masks as merchandise. These look pretty nice!
Rumour has it that Kimaya is immune, he blocked the coronavirus.
Hope they manage to sort out fixed shipping costs instead of "you pay for import fees" like the W101
I would have surrendered my soul for a Bayonetta mask.
I think people are missing the point with facemasks. They're a Safety item, not a fashion item....
I like the W101 but it doesn't have merch appeal to me. I do look forward to them branching out to other series!
@Orangezap89 we're meant to be wearing them for a while, might as well wear something that we enjoy. It's also a way to support certain businesses who are facing difficulties because of less customers.
With that said, I'm not buying any Platinum masks from them. Not after the TW101 Kickstarter fiasco.
How about concentrating on Bayonetta 3 and maybe showing something to us
It's gotten to the point now where it's more like a mask fetish. I've seen people driving or jogging down the street and no where near another living person for miles and wearing masks. When you're doing that it's not for safety. It's a fashion statement. Not to mention restaurants forcing you to wear them while entering the building but not caring if you take them off afterward once you're seated at your table. It's also confusing when some places don't even have the signs on their doors demanding masks but others do. It's like no wonder nobody gives a crap. The rules are different everywhere you go. It's nonsense.
@Zeldafan79 Rules are pretty clear over here. Blame the people in charge for not making the rules clear enough. Don't blame the masks.
PG lost me as a customer with the Kickstarter fiasco.
Perhaps they should focus on what they do best?
@Zeldafan79 Are you in the USA? If so, thats the reason why its not consistent with the shops. In Germany, we have signs everywhere. In restaurants, once you are seated, you can take off your mask because now you are in your little area and not in front of a worker at the door.
@Zeldafan79 It’s better people wearing masks at all. The ones not wearing them are the reason the US is riddled.
@Zeldafan79 if you’re in the US, the guidelines are the same everywhere. Don’t go off of restaurant policies or what president bronzer says. In public, wear a mask and try to stay six feet apart, especially in indoor spaces.
I was at a Pizza hut recently and people were walking in the building left and right with no masks and not a single one was told to leave. It's just antagonistic and bound to piss people off. The store owners don't wanna deal with it so they let it slide i guess. They don't want a bunch of riff raff or fights breaking out.
I live in Indiana and it's about 50/50. Department stores like Payless, Walmart, Target etc enforce it but where i live there's several restaurants that clearly just don't care.
@Zeldafan79 Joggers sometime wore masks before all the covid stuff, to reduce particulates they might be breathing in. Whether pollution in a city, or pollen and other allergens,
Cool. Hope they make more $$ so they can make more games or put more into making the ones they release great.
@Silly_G nice. I would wear a ridiculous police dog costume for some Astral Chain merch.
This is where your kick-starter money went.
It's strange seeing a company I once adored slowly turning into something I hate. Hate might be a bit strong, but what happened to just making good games and releasing them? I can't help but feel like there's some caveat on the horizon for Bayonetta 3. Cut into chunks, lots of paid for DLC, microtransactions, held off to be released on a NEW version of the switch etc.
@Zeldafan79 I care.
@Zeldafan79 it’s pretty relaxed in Indiana. I’ve been several places where the staff and the customers don’t wear masks even if it’s not a restaurant. I wouldn’t mind putting down a few $$$ for a nice Ace Attorney mask if Capcom makes one😉
Order now,
Delivery no.
No. Useless. No.
@Orangezap89 Tell that to Japan. They've been doing this long before Covid.
Wasn't the diorama a kickstarter bonus? Weird that it's being sold separately now...
@readalie I was gonna mention this. It is a Kickstarter bonus. They never had shown an official finished product of it though so it's nice to see what it's gonna look like.
I wonder if they plan on making the other items from the Kickstarter into merchandise I can buy. There were items I wanted but were exclusive to certain tiers like the figurines and I went with the one with the vinyl record and complete sound track over them.
Also masks have kinda been fashion item in Japan for awhile now.
@Crockin @nessisonett @Zeldafan79 The head of the CDC says you need goggles or eye protection with a mask to not be infected by other people. Which I knew all along, given how viruses like COVID-19 spread. Wearing a mask catches your sneeze or cough so that YOU don't infect others. Masks should only be worn by people who feel ill or have tested positive. Everyone else should be wearing a face shield.
@Tourtus Therefore if everybody wears a mask then it will cut down on infections. The whole point is that it can be asymptomatic and so it’s better to err on the side of caution. But you know, muh freedoms.
@Tourtus Yes, I believe Dr. Fauci did mention that goggles and a face shield would be even better protection, but it's not in the guidelines for the general public. I can't even imagine the backlash from americans being told to wear a face shield for a few months, let alone a little piece of cloth.
And yes, I don't see why masks can't be fashionable since they are now part of everyday wear.
@nessisonett I suppose it's okay to be cautious, but from a libertarian perspective I just think it should be left up to the individual to wear one or not. After all "Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." -Benjamin Franklin
@Crockin Literally every person in the stores in my area wears a face mask. It's the restrictions that destroyed livelihoods that people don't like.
@Tourtus Honestly, I personally don’t think that should apply if it directly relates to the well-being of other people. Same way you can’t brandish a knife in public or drive recklessly, your actions are directly endangering the lives of others. Masks randomly became a political issue in the US despite every other country I know people in finding it no problem. I genuinely don’t know why it became a problem over there because it’s the smallest of inconveniences that could potentially save lives.
@Tourtus No, people pitch a fit over the masks as well. I work as a librarian and we’ve had a belligerent patron or two who didn’t want to wear one (fortunately our state has a mask mandate) since we reopened to the public. We’ve been very lucky overall, though, and it’s been limited to that. My cousin, for example, is lightly immunocompromised and once had a woman purposefully cough in her face when she asked her if she could please put her mask on while they shared an aisle in the grocery store (this was a bit before the mandate, but still).
@readalie I probably should have worded my previous comment better. I know people throw a fit over the masks, just saying that the other restrictions are a bigger issue for most.
@nessisonett America is a freedom loving nation, that's why it became an issue because mask mandates tell people what they can and can't do. If someone wants to drink themselves to death then they ought to be allowed to, and if someone doesn't want to wear a mask for any reason at all, they should be allowed to. Both things are bad but the government should have no say as to what someone can do to their own body. Saying otherwise is just saying that no one has ownership of themselves and that you're just property of the state.
I get that there is a potential risk for others, but people put themselves at risk every time they leave their home. They can be hit by a car, mugged etc.
@Tourtus maybe the govt should have done something to bail out those livelihoods 🙃
@Tourtus Yeah but if the person mugging them or hitting them with their car gets caught, they’re arrested!
@Crockin Stimulus checks have been sent, my dad got one. I think they're making a round two but details are being debated as some people are trying to tack on irrelevant things to the bill.
@nessisonett So should we arrest people for not wearing a mask? People used to spread deadly diseases between each other all the time before COVID-19 and no one was thrown in prison then.
@Tourtus Yep, I got a stimulus check too. Sad truth is, that one time payment of $1200 did very little to help, while big corporations got billions of dollars in bailout money; in many cases, this money went directly into bonuses for executives who already make hundreds of millions! The govt can be doing WAY better and definitely have the means to pay the american people to stay home during a pandemic. The fact that congress is in the middle of a stand off to decide whether or not this is the right thing to do is completely insane. Our leadership has failed us catastrophically on nearly every front in 2020.
@Crockin The majority of the first stimulus package went to individuals and their small businesses as well as public services. Yes big corporations got some too but that money didn't entirely go into the pockets of executives and was meant to keep people employed in those big businesses. Also the debates aren't entirely over if the bill is right or not, it's about where the funding goes. Like the first stimulus package gave 25 million to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. What good did that do for anyone? We can't gather in large numbers so what's the point in funding it? No one can see a concert or a play there.
Here's how the fund was divided.

EDIT: If the link doesn't work here are the stats.
Individuals / Families $603.7 billion 30%
Big Business $500.0 billion 25%
Small Business $377.0 billion 19%
State and Local Government $340.0 billion 17%
Public Services $179.5 billion 9%
Civilians got 58% if you add the public services to them, since civilians are the ones who use public services.
@Tourtus right, this is how the CARES looks on paper, but there's no regulations on where that corporate bailout money goes. This article has a pretty good breakdown of the why the cares act is such weak showing: https://www.epi.org/blog/despite-some-good-provisions-the-cares-act-has-glaring-flaws-and-falls-short-of-fully-protecting-workers-during-the-coronavirus-crisis/
Regarding the negotiations, the 'right thing'(bailing out the American people) is being used as a bargaining chip to pass other legislation. Meanwhile, the people are on the cusp of disaster.
@Crockin Well it can be argued that the civilians aren't putting the money to good use either or using it for what it was intended for. I've seen examples of people blowing it away on non-essential things when it should be used for rent and food.
I know what you mean about the bargaining chip thing, the JFK Arts center was a good example I used earlier, where one side argued it needed funding and the other said it didn't and wouldn't pass the bill if plans for it's funding remained. In the end the bill was passed and 25 million was wasted on something people aren't even allowed to use right now. One side held peoples livelihoods in their hand and refused to budge until something non-essential got it's funding.
