Mortal Kombat 11 Terminator

There was some momentary excitement earlier this week when Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon said he couldn’t believe NetherRealm had “got” Arnold Schwarzenegger – aka. the time-travelling cyborg assassin from The Terminator movies.

Part of me still can’t believe we got Arnold.

Boon’s tweet sent a sizable portion of the Mortal Kombat 11 community into meltdown – with many fans jumping to the conclusion that the T-800 in the game would be voiced by Arnie himself.

Even though the former California governor will reprise his role as The Terminator in the upcoming movie – Terminator: Dark Fate – unfortunately, he won’t be voicing his character in the DLC Kombat Pack.

According to a “knowledgeable” source in contact with The Hollywood Reporter, a “sound-a-like” voice actor was used to voice Arnie in the popular fighting game. Warner Bros. Interactive also reportedly confirmed Schwarzenegger would not be voicing his character in the game.

Terminator T-800 will be made available in MK11 on 8th October, and his latest movie will launch not long after this.

Were you hoping to hear Arnie had helped out? Will you be checking out his character in the DLC Kombat Pack? Leave a comment down below.
